Xin Mei couldn't control her tears which were following from her eyes. Her heart was feeling heavy at the thought she wouldn't be able to see the faces of her family member whenever she wanted.

Su Yuchen felt a pinch in his heart when he saw the red eyes of Xin Mei. She was continuously sobbing. He wanted to console her but didn't know how.

"Stop crying Xin Mei, you can visit your family whenever you want. I am not going to lock you in my house." He tried to joke and placed his arm around her shoulder.

"Stop crying like a baby. Your father will castrate me if he gets the wind that you are crying. Then how do you plan to have a baby with me?"

His voice was childish and full of humour which made Xin Mei smile.

"Don't degrade my father like this. He will not do such a thing to you. I can see that he already sees you as his son."

"Always keep smiling like this." He placed his finger below her smiling lips. He removed her tears with gentleness. "I promise to treat you so well that you will rarely miss your family."

Xin Mei gave him a small smile and looked down at his finger which was lingering on her lips. Su Yuchen smiled before removing his finger from her lips.

"Now wife, get ready to meet my grandma as her granddaughter in law. I am sure she is going to be excited to meet you."

Xin Mei looked at him with wide eyes and nodded her head. She started to feel anxious at the prospect of meeting his grandmother. Sure she had met her before but now the conditions were different.

When they entered the hospital room, as expected Bai Yue was very excited upon seeing them. She had ordered them to pull out their marriage certificates. She grinned from ears to ears when she saw their wedding photos.

"Tian, aren't both of them looking good together? They are looking so beautiful." Bai Yue grinned and showed the marriage certificate to her husband. Su Lingtian smiled and looked at his wife with a dotting smile.

"Yes wife, they are looking beautiful couple just like us."

Xin Mei saw the look in the eyes of Su Lingtian. He was looking at Bai Yue with so much love. It was like his world revolved around her. She also wished for a happy married life like them.

"Xin Mei, come here, let grandma gift you for fulfilling her last wish. Now I can die without any worry for my Chen."

Upon hearing Bai Yue, everyone protested one after another.

"Wife, I have told you so many times to stop thinking about your death. You have a long life. We still have many things to do together."

Bai Yue placed the ring in the palm of Xin Mei. She closed her palm. Xin Mei tried to protest but Bai Yue glared at her.

"It's a gift from grandma. I am not in a condition to buy some new gift for you so accept this gift for the meantime."

The ring in her hand was very costly. Xin Mei could say so within a single glance at the ring. She was about to protest when Su Yuchen placed his hand on her shoulder.

"Keep it, Xin Mei. If not you then to whom will she give her precious things? Take it as a blessing from grandma."

Xin Mei looked at him and nodded her head. She put the ring in her finger and smiled to Bai Yue. She also smiled and took the hand of Xin Mei in her hands.

"This ring looks good on your finger." Her eyes shone with delight. She then turned and looked at Su Yuchen. "Chen'er, you have gotten the marriage certificate but when are you planning to give her the wedding ring? Don't tell me you forget about it."

Bai Yue looked at her grandson with accusing gazes.

"I haven't forgotten grandma. I have already ordered the jeweller and they are making the best wedding rings for us. It will take some time."

Bai Yue smiled with satisfaction and nodded her head. She then again looked at Xin Mei.

"Xin Mei, I know you weren't ready for this marriage but now that you are married, please take care of my Chen. There are a lot of things which bugs him but he doesn't share about it with us. I hope you will be able to get out those secrets from him. Be a life partner for him."

Bai Yue looked at Xin Mei with hopeful eyes. She was waiting for Xin Mei to ensure her that she was here for her grandchild.

"Don't worry grandma. I will always look after Su Yuchen. I will try to become the best wife for him."

Bai Yue smiled and poked her husband. "Husband, give me the box which I have asked you to retrieve from the locker."

Su Lingtian nodded his head and gave a jewellery box to his wife.

"Xin Mei, I will not be like the nagging grandma who asks for a grandson from her daughter in law, the moment she meets her. I know you are young and have a career. But I am sure one day you will have a baby and for him or her, I want to give you this."

Bai Yue pulled the hand of Xin Mei and placed a box in her hand.

"In it, there is a bracelet. I had it made before the birth of Chen'er. Because of some unforeseen conditions, I couldn't give it to her mother during his birth. Now I am giving it to you, I hope you will make your child wear it."

"Thank you for this grandma. I will keep it safe and when Su Yuchen and I have a baby, I will make him wear it."

Xin Mei secured the jewellery box in her hand.

Su Yuchen and Xin Mei stayed in the hospital for a long time. They kept hearing to Bai Yue who was giving a lot of tips to the married couple.

All this while, Xin Mei couldn't help herself from admiring the love of Su Lingtian toward Bai Yue. He was always by her side.
