When Gu Nan and Xin Mei entered in the mall, they came across the announcement that designer Grace of brand Pa.s.sion had released latest five designs.

"Oh my G.o.d Xin Mei." Gu Nan squealed when she heard the announcement. "We should hurry and buy a dress of Grace. You are lucky to get this opportunity."

Gu Nan pulled hard on the hand of Xin Mei and pulled her towards the showroom where the brand of Pa.s.sion was located.

Pa.s.sion was a famous brand in the city and more than pa.s.sion, the designer Grace was famous. Grace released only five designs throughout the year which were sold at only fifteen different malls in the country.

Her designs were famous and it was difficult for another designer to copy her designs. Her designs were also very expensive. It wasn't easy for everyone to purchase the dresses designed by her.

When they reached the showroom of Pa.s.sion, they came across a huge crowd of people. Everyone had arrived at the showroom to see the designs of grace.

"Oh my G.o.d Xin Mei, look at the crowd this time. It is more than last year. We should hurry."

Gu Nan pulled Xin Mei towards the gate of Pa.s.sion which was blocked by the staff. Gu Nan gave the entry fees, which was required to see the dresses by Grace before entering in.

Staff directed them towards the small room where the five latest dresses designed by grace were being displayed on a mannequin.

"Wow, Xin Mei, the dresses are so beautiful."

"Yup, they are beautiful." Xin Mei admired the dresses which were very beautiful. The design, work, cloth everything was first cla.s.s.

"Xin Mei, I suggest you to buy all the five dresses. You will need to wear a party gown in the future then why not buy all the five dresses?" Gu Nan grinned with excitement. "You will become famous if you own all the five dresses."

"Gu Nan, I am not buying all the five dresses." Xin Mei rebuked. "Don't you know how expensive they are? Look around, so many costumers have left after seeing the price tag. I can't spend all my money on these dresses."

"Then buy at least three dresses!"

"No, only one dress." Xin Mei shook her head.

"Ok two dresses. Buy two dresses. Look at them, you are not going to find this design anywhere as."

Gu Nan looked at the dresses with admiration. If it was her, then she would have purchased all the five dresses by now.

Xin Mei and Gu Nan both looked at the five dresses. In front of their eyes, one of the dresses got sold. So they hurriedly decided the dresses which would suit on Xin Mei. Xin Mei decided one dress while Gu Nan other, after compromising, they decided to buy the two dresses.

"Xin Mei, this red and that black dress will suit you." Gu Nan grinned and again admired the dress.

Xin Mei called the staff of pa.s.sion and informed her that she was buying two dresses. The staff grinned when she heard Xin Mei and quickly prepared the dress for her.

"I want to buy this dress. How much does it cost?"

Xin Mei and Gu Nan were waiting for the staff to remove the dress from the mannequin when they heard a familiar voice. They frowned and looked at Ning Xiao who was checking up on the dress which they had already selected.

"Sorry miss, but this dress is already sold. Please select from the last two pieces." The staff apologized guiltily.

"Select another dress? Don't you know who I am? I am the famous star Ning Xiao. No one had dared to reject me so how can you reject me? I am buying this dress and that's final. Make some excuse for your customer."

Gu Nan fumed when she heard Ning Xiao. She also didn't like her much. Gu Nan hated to the guts and att.i.tude of Ning Xiao. She always treated herself as a queen while giving an interview to Gu Nan.

"What do you mean by you are buying it?" Gu Nan yelled and walked towards Ning Xiao. She looked at selling staff. "Miss, don't forget your codes of conduct. You are to sale this dress to us only. We are your first buyers."

Gu Nan scolded the staff who was removing the dress before turning to Ning Xiao. "And you miss Ning keep your att.i.tude to yourself. Being a star doesn't mean you can eye the dress purchased by someone as."

"Oh, so it's you who are buying this dress Gu Nan. But from where did you get so much money to buy such an expensive dress? Don't tell me you have some sugar daddy." Ning Xiao taunted Gu Nan with a mock smile.

"It isn't her but me. I am buying this dress and Gu Nan don't need some sugar daddy to buy any expensive dress. She isn't like you." Xin Mei commented sharply when she saw how Ning Xiao was mocking her friend.

"Oh, it's you, Xin Mei. Isn't it a long time that we have last seen each other? I never thought we will meet each other like this." Ning Xiao threw a fake smile in the direction of Xin Mei.

"But I was thinking how can you afford to buy this dress? Didn't your company go bankrupt? Isn't your father suffering for the survival of your business? Are you being the bad girl who is spending the money of her father even when he is in a difficult situation?" Ning Xiao mocked.

Realization dawned upon Gu Nan when she heard the words of Ning Xiao. In her excitement to buy dresses of Grace, she had forgotten that condition of Xin Mei's family wasn't good.

"Stop mocking me and my family, Ning Xiao." Xin Mei glared at Ning Xiao. How dare of her to bring her family in between a fight for a dress?

"My family's position is still very strong. In front of your eyes, I am going to buy these two dresses." Xin Mei challenged Ning Xiao. "Keep yourself updated that my family isn't going bankrupt. We still are the strongest family in the construction industry."

Xin Mei turned and looked at the staff holding her dress. "I am buying these dresses. After payment, I will like to try them for some alteration." She informed the staff with much att.i.tude.

They walked towards the paying counter. She pulled out her card. She turned and looked at Ning Xiao, "Miss Ning, stop eyeing my dresses. I am going to buy them. You should check through other designs before they are also sold."

"Xin Mei, don't be so happy. I don't think your bank account has enough money to pay for these dresses." Ning Xiao wrapped her arms around her chest and looked at Xin Mei.

She then turned her face toward the staff, "I will be buying these dresses if Xin Mei fails to pay you."

Xin Mei ignored the confidence in the voice of Ning Xiao and gave her card to the staff for billing. The cas.h.i.+er tried the card before returning it to Xin Mei, "Sorry ma'am, your card is blocked. Please try some other card."

Smile left from the lips of Xin Mei, she looked at the cas.h.i.+er with wide eyes. How could her cards be blocked? Didn't her father unblock all the bank accounts?

"Please try it again."

"Ma'am, I have tried it twice."

Ning Xiao chuckled when she heard the cas.h.i.+er. "Didn't I tell you that your father has a poor financial condition? I am paying for the dresses. Make the bill at my name."

With smug on her lips, Ning Xiao walked toward the cas.h.i.+er with her card in her hand.
