At first, I expected that when faced with one belonging to the group of the absolute cream of the top in terms of strength when excluded the ancestors. Just a single look at the thick aura permeating the air around my current opponent showcased that this man was not a small fry, unlike all the others that I faced so far. 

Additionally, contrary to every single enemy I had the pleasure to fight with, as soon as the ancestor shouted and announced the start of the fight, rather than eyeing me, this sect leader instantly threw himself in my direction.

And just like I did all the way back on the overlord's island with the random elder that appeared there as if he was some kind of jumpscare used for the almighty plotter of all the events to get some emotional reaction from the viewers of this movie called my life when the sect leader first shoot for my face, I felt as if thousand of mountains suddenly weighted on my chick.

With no further hesitation, I used my reflexes to the maximum in order to avoid the hit, but just like before, I only barely managed to dodge the hit, earning a new layer of a small bruise in the exact same place where that random elder from back then managed to spill some of my blood.

What was wrong with those people?

Did they always have to do their absolute best to go for my face? What if Eve would be disgusted by this scar? What if she decided to never caress this cheek of mine from now on? Could you f.u.c.king make up for that?!

With the anger replacing my excitement for the incoming fight with the ancestor, I pulled all my stops. If this f.u.c.ker wanted me to be serious, then it was my duty as a man and his d.a.m.ned superior to show him the b.l.o.o.d.y way!

Dropping all the ideas of gauging the strength of my opponent I quickly coated my entire body in entropy and… dissolved it back inside my inner core. If I were to pull out my most important guns right before the fight with the ancestor, I would be giving him an opportunity to not only see through its nature and prepare himself but maybe use his contact to the local protectors and rat me in!

After all, I had no idea how this place was connected to this everpresent system of annoying powerhouses who I had no idea to judge how strong they was. That was yet another point that I hoped to discover once I would gain access to all the books stored in the local library!

But without my most powerful weapon, I had to get crafty. Yet this opponent of mine wasn't going to just let me think about what kind of approach I should use when fighting him! One by one, his fists flew towards my face, my abdomen and even my crotch, only making my anger boil down and condense into sheer fury. 

With my control over my own emotions slipping away from my mental fingers, I decided that if he wanted the showcase of brute strength, then I might as well give him one!

Pulling all the stops and forcing myself to stop dodging the incoming attacks, I simply send a fist of my own towards the incoming knuckle of the sect leader of the gorilla sect.

With the sound of something breaking, my first continued on its way, pus.h.i.+ng the meat and scrambled bones of what used to be that man's hand and arm away, as it aimed for his shoulder.

Seeing the opportunity, I added some of my magical energy into the picture, casting several weak shockwaves - something that I should long bother to upgrade to average shockwaves - to the side of my arm in order to redirect its path towards this d.a.m.ned man heart.

As the air was torn by my speel lamented in its usual huge voice, my fist successfully got pushed to the side, inching closer for my opponent's heart by every split second.

And just like that, my knuckles tore through the skin and ribs of my enemy, pus.h.i.+ng the meat paste that used to be his heart out of the hole that it left when erupting outwards behind his back!

I guess no one expected that this tense fight would come to an end so soon. To be quite honest, I was surprised by how easy it was just as well!

Basing on my estimated, this man's power was a bit stronger than my strength before the upgrades to my physical strength and resistance, putting him slightly above myself before the upgrade to the system.

Did that mean that people were capable of reaching my last level of power with their own efforts? Even despite living in such a desolated place that forced them to use those cruel means of growing even stronger?

That was almost like this man was cheating!

Yet just as I thought that I would be left with nothing but my thoughts alone for a moment to prepare myself for a fight with the elder and the announcement that I would like to make before it, I felt that something was wrong.

While I already retracted my senses back to their usual, bearable level, my mind was still quite sensitive towards the changes in the air after being tormented by the onslaught of all the details.

That's why when I felt a powerful gust of wind approaching my back, rather than looking behind to see what was going on, I instantly dodged to the side!

As I turned around midair to see what was going on, I realised that if I were to linger on my previous self for just a moment longer, then no matter my resistance, I would most likely lose my life!

With the body of the sect elder that I thought I just killed disappearing into thin air along with all the bloodstains on my hand and clothes, a new body of his appeared beside me, with his bloodshed eyes instantly following my movement before his face took up even more b.e.s.t.i.a.l look as his movements slowed for a tiny bit.

Falling down on the ground, I realised that I won't be able to stand up before the next attack would reach my body. With no other choice, I raised my hands for a tiny bit, before smas.h.i.+ng them down at the rocks of the area, allowing my body to fall through the newly made hole and avoid the vicious attack of my enemy!

It seemed like this fight wouldn't even come close to being as easy as I thought it would be!
