As the door creaked open, leaking a hint of night into the dim lit bar, a cloaked man entered. "Ah, welcome." The bartender greeted. The man simply gave a wave. Only one other customer was seated at the bar. "What can I get for ya?" The bartender asked the man. "I don't care." The man replied. The bartender looked at him for a second. "I Uh...do you have ID...?" The man blushed. "H-here..." He grumbled, pulling out his ID. The other man looked as if he had caught a glimpse, his eyes widened. The bartender gave a nod.
The man sat next to the other bar visitor. The other man kept his gaze on his gla.s.s. "Nice night," The man said. The man gave a slight nod in reply.
As the night progressed, and after only a couple of shots, the cloaked man was nearly asleep at the counter.
The other man downed one last gla.s.s. He paused. He studied the cloaked man for a moment. He then gave a sad smile. The man proceeded to take off his coat, and laid it on top of the pa.s.sed out man. He gave one final glance before leaving the bar. I'm glad to see you're alive, Mikael. He thought to himself as he walked off into the night.
