"What kinda killer lets his victims go..." Rick began, as he looked at Larkin. "You and I...really are the same." Larkin stared at him. "The bombs are going to detonate in fifteen minutes!" Kari cried. Larkin's eyes widened. "Where's the key?" He asked. Janine looked down in shame. "We can't find it, and don't have time to go and search for it!" She shouted. Larkin turned to face Rick. "We don't have time, go get your child, and leave." He turned to Norio. "Get up here, we don't have time!" He shouted. Norio quickly began running up. "What the h.e.l.l is this gla.s.s made of!?" Rick grumbled. "Larkin, do you have a code?" Norio questioned. Larkin scratched his head. "I don't remember..." He sighed. "Rick!" Abbey shouted, tossing her sword at him. Rick caught it, and turned to the tube. "Maru..." he whispered. "Hurry!" Norio cried. Rick pierced the tube with the sword, causing liquid to spill. He grabbed Maru. "Please hold her for a sec." He said, handing her to Larkin. Larkin looked at the girl in his arms, smiling sadly. "I'm sorry..." he whispered. "Eight minutes!" Kari shouted. Rick quickly pierced through Emersyn's tube. Norio gently grabbed the unconscious girl. "Six!" Larkin looked at them. "I'll activate a barrier, at this point you'll never make it very far, without getting caught up in the explosion. "Don't be stupid, you won't have time to," Rick's eyes widened, as Larkin gave a sad smile. "Rick," He began. "Please, hurry!" Sena cried. "Four!" Janine, and Mim walked up to where they were. "Boss, we won't let you go alone..." Mim smiled. "Are you two nuts!?" Larkin shouted. "We contributed to this mess..." Janine whispered. "Oi, bandages, and gla.s.ses," Mim began. "Run like h.e.l.l." Ricks eyes widened. "But!" Norio grabbed his hand, and began running. "The barrier is activated..." Larkin smiled, sitting down. Mim, and Janine sat on either side of him, putting their arms around him. "What are they..." Chris whispered. "We don't have time to figure it out!" Abbey cried, grabbing him. "Papa!" Kari cried. Larkin looked at her, smiling. "You've grown into a fine young woman..." he whispered. Tammy grabbed Kari's arm, and ran. "That goes for all of you..." He closed his eyes. "Thank you..." he whispered.

As everyone else quickly filled the barrier, they turned back to the building. "L-" Rick's eyes widened. The bombs then detonated. "Larkin!" Rick screamed, at the top of his lungs.
