After dinner,Ru s.h.i.+ went to the living room to watch television.

The moment she turned it on she stiffened as she listened to the report on TV.

"Today's reporters got the news. The fiancée of the president of Li Corps, who mysterious left two years ago, returned to China a few days ago. Her cousin who is the CEO of w.a.n.g consortium picked her up. When she returned she stayed at a hotel owned by Li Corps."

The reporter continued, This makes people speculate that she and the president of Li Corps are still together and maybe they might have spent the night together to rekindle their love..."

The female reporter chuckled as she said.

As she listened to the reports from the TV Ru s.h.i.+'s heart hurt.

She looked at the woman on the screen. She has this mature temperament and confidence that makes her stand out. Her skin is white and her lips looked full with the red lipstick. She looked like a supermodel.

She smiled softly at the camera.

Ru s.h.i.+ thought she was a good match with Mu Chang.

Mu Chang came down from his study. The moment Ru s.h.i.+ heard him coming she switched off the TV and put the remote aside.

When he came he saw that her face had paled.

"What happened?"

Ru s.h.i.+ turned her head and looked at the man before her.

Now that his fiancé is back, will he leave her like all the others?

A trace of sadness fleeted through her eyes but she did not dare ask him.

Seeing that she did not talk and was just staring at him he was a little puzzled.

What had happened?

Ru s.h.i.+ got up and hugged him. She wrapped her hands around his waist and listened to his heartbeat.

She wanted to hold him for a while.

"Ru s.h.i.+ what's wrong with you?"

Mu Chang was scared by her sudden move.

"Nothing, I just want to hold you for a while." She whispered holding him tightly but her heart was hurting.

Mu Chang smiled softly.

"Well, how long do you want to hold me like this?"

How long can she hold him like this? Ru s.h.i.+ asked in her heart.

Ru s.h.i.+ tiptoed and kissed him.

Mu Chang was shocked by her initiative.

He looked at her.

"Kitten, what's wrong with you?"

Mu Chang pulled away from her and looked at her.

He thought she was acting weird.

He had just gone to the study and when he came back she was behaving like this.

"I want you."

Ru s.h.i.+ said as she grabbed his neck trying to kiss him.

Mu Chang stepped back and looked at her.

There is no way that he would take her, when she was behaving like this.

Her emotions broke lose when she saw him stepping away her.

"Why President Li, now that your fiancée is back you don't want your f.u.c.k buddy anymore?" Ru s.h.i.+ asked sarcastically

Mu Chang stiffened when he heard her, no wonder she was behaving like this.

"How did you know that she's back?" Mu Chang asked her faintly.

"It doesn't matter how I know. The question is what are you going to do?"

Ru s.h.i.+ stared at him.

"Nothing."

"What do you mean nothing? Are you going to leave me for her? After all, everybody knows how the Almighty president of Li Corps loves his fiancé. Now that she's back won't you run into her arms? Since you can't fall in love with me that means you still f.u.c.king loves her!"

Mu Chang got hurt when he heard her.

Does she think so lowly of him?

What makes her think that he will leave her when it is him who is afraid of her leaving him.

"Why can't you talk?" Ru s.h.i.+ smiled sadly.

"I'm so stupid. I fell in love with the wrong person again. You do not have to choose. I'll walk myself out. It was good while it lasted, she continued angrily.

"I don't blame you Mu Chang, after all you told me that you can't fall for me. I just got ahead of myself."

She stepped back as she smiled softly.

Just as she turned to leave Mu Chang pulled her and kissed her roughly as if to punish her.

His lips mashed against hers, as if trying to flatten and destroy her mouth.

She wanted to pull away before she lost herself but she cannot seem to.

She hated the effect he has on her.

When Mu Chang saw her trying to push him away, he bit her lips gently and deepened the kiss.

When they parted they stared at each other.

Mu looked at her swollen lips and smirked in satisfaction.

He was still angry because of what she had said.

How can she leave him? How can she belittle herself like this?

He hated the words that came from her mouth.

He wanted to wipe them away.

"What makes you think that I'll go back to the woman who left me? Do you think that lowly of me?"

Mu Chang asked softly.

"If you don't want to go back to her, then why can't you fall for me?" Ru s.h.i.+ shouted at him.

"Why are you scared to fall for me, huh?"

Ru s.h.i.+ knew she was overreacting but she did not care.

She wanted to have a little glimpse of hope that maybe their relations.h.i.+p was worth fighting for.

She did not want his fiancée to come between them if they really had something good.

Mu Chang stiffened.

He stared at her

"Because..... I'm afraid that I'll get hurt again. If I don't fall in love then there's no way for me to get hurt. You've no idea what I had been in through when she left, he said reflectively.

I wasted my time, energy and money on her but she just left without taking my feelings into consideration. She tossed my feelings aside. So I'm afraid that if I let myself fall in love again I'm going to get hurt."

Mu Chang said quietly.

"Don't you think that you're being a little selfish? What about me huh? Have you thought about my feelings?" Ru s.h.i.+ asked pa.s.sionately.

"I...."

Ru s.h.i.+ flinched from his touch as he stepped forward to touch her.

"What is our relations.h.i.+p Mu Chang? Am I just your f.u.c.k buddy or a replacement for your ex?"

"No, you're not my f.u.c.k buddy or a replacement!"

Ru s.h.i.+ smiled sadly

"Then how would you describe our relations.h.i.+p huh?"

Mu Chang stared at her as he remained silent.

He told her that he cannot fall in love with her, but he wanted her.

He just could not understand why she was behaving like this.

All of this is new to him and he had no idea on what to do.

He felt suffocated.

Ru s.h.i.+ turned and left when she saw that he would not answer him.

It hurt! Her heart hurt.

Mu Chang saw her desolate back as she left.

He did not want this to happen.

He swore to never fall in love again but why did his heart hurt when he stared at her leaving him.

He wanted to stop her. He wanted to say something but he knew that he did not have the answer she wanted.
