Even though Morris Liu hasn't responded yet, Wren Tanaka already filled the gaps inside his mind. "I must say though, good job for keeping Miss Yang in the dark, else, she would never have a peaceful sleep." Wren Tanaka shrugged. 

In his perspective, what Morris Liu had done was neither right nor wrong. He was not a person to judge which is which. However, in his opinion, he admired that Morris Liu remained the Yang family's s.h.i.+eld. 

Yet, the problem was, Morris Liu just didn't know how to properly deal with the mess he stepped into and his Achilles' heel. Therefore, instead of protecting them, he also destroyed them.

'What a tragic story…' Wren Tanaka thought as she shook his head.

A momentary silence enveloped the whole room as neither of them talked. Hearing Lexi's name in the middle of this discussion, Morris Liu's jaw tightened He guessed what Wren Tanaka was thinking hence, he was insulted one way or another. Regardless, since he desperately needed his help— to hasten everything, he didn't open his mouth.

Just then, the person who was lying on the long sofa while being wrapped by a thick white blanket sat up. This made Wren Tanaka flinched as if he had a mini heart attack. Patting his chest, he glared at the person who had her hair pretty messed up— as if she had just woken up after a good night rest.

"Morning…"

"Morning?!" Briefly forgetting that he had guests, Wren Tanaka aggressively sa.s.sed at the woman who was rubbing her eyes. This sudden interruption caught the attention of Chris Yu and Morris Liu as they turned their gaze to the woman.

Upon minutes of staring at the woman, Morris Liu's brows furrowed as he recognized who it was. It was none other than the newly appointed chairwoman of Yue International Enterprise. Although Morris Liu already learned that Wren Tanaka and Seraphina Yue has some kind of ambiguous connection, Morris Liu hadn't figured out what relation exactly. 

Are they lovers? But, based on his intel, the heir of the Jin Medical Group and Seraphina Yue were officially dating. So, was it possible that Seraphina Yue was committing adultery? He highly doubts that. Morris Liu was certain that it was not as simple as that— he knew there was a deeper connection between these two.

"Sigh… why did I even let you tag along instead of Rex? Ay ay ay, headache!" Wren Tanaka ma.s.saged his temples in distress. After a second, he stopped as he realized that he was in the middle of a meeting and he blurted out words that shouldn't be heard by others.

'My image…' He wept inwardly as he cares more about his image than dropping Rex's name and how he snapped seeing the woman behaving as if she was in her own home.

"Hi, Morris— Yo, Chris." Looking at Morris Liu before she looked at the man standing on the side, Seraphina Yue waved her hands as if she was greeting her close friends. 

Morris Liu: "..."

Chris Yu: "..." he was certain that he had never met this woman. Although Chris Yu also recognized her when she brushed off the hair that was on her face, yet he was utterly speechless that she knows him! After all, he wasn't that popular, and his established businesses were mostly night clubs. The only reason why he became friends with Morris Liu was because of his capabilities.

"Hehe, can you pretend that she doesn't exist for now? Haha," Ridiculous, he knows, but Wren Tanaka's headache had become more unbearable seeing her saying hi and calling them on a first-name basis.

'Why are you making things harder for me?' Continuously weeping inwardly, Wren Tanaka wanted to bawl his eyes as his stress level gauge was reaching its maximum level. He knew this would happen, however, because of some unforeseen events, he could only take her with him and take the risk.

"Who was it?" Suddenly, Seraphina Yue inquired as she tilted her head to the side. Her innocent eyes stared directly at the pair of lifeless and freezing cold eyes of Morris Liu.

"Oh, sh*t…" Murmuring, Wren Tanaka frowned and gave up as his fun was over. She took over and that only means his job was done. While Morris Liu didn't respond as he was confused about her question.

"I like Miss Yang, a beauty. Met her in my coronation night. So, who was it?" Another off-track remark escaped her mouth before she repeated the question without clarifying it.

"My apologies, Miss Yue but, I don't understand." Finally, Morris Liu asked for a clarification as he could not decipher who she was asking about. Moreover, the woman seemed she didn't know that she was the only one who could understand her lingo… or so he thought.

Letting out a heavy sigh, Wren Tanaka felt helpless. "She meant, who was the group hara.s.sing you?" Shaking his head, his friendly tone eventually turned sour as his interest was completely lost. He still wanted to probe further and tick Morris Liu off to see if he would help him or not. Alas, she just has to wake up in the middle of their conversation!

"Kong Shuren." Despite that Morris Liu was puzzled why was the woman was interfering and Wren Tanaka was letting her, he still dropped Kong Shuren's name that was dragging him to the ruin. 

"Kong Shuren… not bad. This country is his turf. Don't worry, he said ``yes." Pointing at Wren Tanaka, the woman agreed with her own reasons.

"Never. Don't want to deal with the guy." Without batting an eye, Wren Tanaka looked at the woman with dismayed as she was forcing him to do free labor again.

"See? He said yes. In exchange, hmmm… give me a five percent share of your company. Don't worry, I only like money— I don't plan to sabotage your company." Ignoring Wren Tanaka, Seraphina Yue continued her deal that confused Morris Liu and Chris Yu to the core. 

Who would they listen to? They came here for Wren but now, they were dealing with Seraphina Yue. 

"Hmm? Deal or no deal?" After a minute of receiving no reaction, the harmless-looking girl tilted her head from left then slowly tilted it to the right.

"Miss Yue, what's your connection with CEO Tanaka?" Knowing that his question was impossible to get answers, Morris Liu still asked. Since this matter was very confidential and this woman being here means she knew a thing or two.

Wren Tanaka: "Business partners."

Seraphina Yue: "My lackey." At the same time, Wren and Seraphina replied with two different answers, which only confused the two even more. 

Surely, this meeting wasn't what Morris and Chris envisioned as they knew that Wren Tanaka was a dangerous businessman that had a connection with the underworld.

"Lackey?! Oi oi, stop destroying my respectable image." Wren Tanaka's face nearly distorted hearing that she called him a lackey. Although it was the truth, still, how could she say that in front of other people?

"I see… then, deal." Still uncertain, Morris Liu nodded his head as he agreed. Losing five percent of shares was nothing if he could get rid of the man who had started his misery. Although he could do it himself in time, if there was a way to get rid of him much faster then, he would grab the chance.

"Sweet, I'll be waiting for my five percent then."

"Is there's a guarantee?"

"Hmm? I usually don't like being asked like that but oh well, I'm in a good mood. I can send his head to you if you want." Evidently happy with her gain, Seraphina Yue smirked that could make a person's hair raise. Seeing that they were quite shaken, she added,
