"It's fine. Lou won't do anything extreme to me." Seeing her hesitant visage, Lexi rea.s.sured as she held on to Victoria Tang's hands.
After a beat, Lexi unbuckled her seat and headed out of the car. With a heavy exhale, she headed to the entrance of the villa.
Without further ado, Lexi pressed on the doorbell and waited. However, no one answered, hence she pressed the doorbell again until the door slowly opened.
From inside the villa, Louis Lu's ever inexpressive front welcomed Lexi. He looked at her, not surprised to have her unannounced visit.
Lexi stared back at him. This was her first time seeing Louis Lu looked less formal. Although his inner white sleeve s.h.i.+rt was still on, the first three b.u.t.tons were unb.u.t.toned, his sleeved were pulled up to his elbow, as his hair was a little messy — though not enough to make him look indecent and wasted.
"Vic... where is she?" Without further ado, Louis Lu lowly asked. A faint scent of wine followed his words.
"Well..." Raising her brows, Lexi ignored that he smelled alcohol as it was faint; she could barely smell it.
Well, Ethan Lu had a habit of having a gla.s.s of wine whenever they get home or after putting the twins to sleep. Lexi too was taking enough alcohol every other day to relax. Therefore, it was normal if Louis Lu also had the same habit.
"Why are you getting her things instead of her?" Seeing the knowing look on Lexi's face, Louis Lu frowned as he glanced in the car from the distance. He didn't need to hear Lexi's intention as he had foreseen this coming.
"Lou, you should know the answer to that." In a matter-of-fact tone, Lexi locked her gaze with him. "You guys need time. Until then, let her be, okay? I'm getting her stuff, make sure you bring those stuffs and her, back in here peacefully." Stretching her lips a little up, Lexi didn't leave his gaze.
"Come in," Louis Lu nodded his head slowly. He then opened the door wider and stepped to the side to let her in.
"Thank you," Pleased that Louis Lu understood her without long, troublesome explanation, Lexi headed inside and let Louis Lu closed the door.
Lexi then took off her heels and change into house slippers while Louis Lu followed behind her languidly. Turning to his indifferent and aloof figure, Lexi asked.
"Can you help me?" Since she was unfamiliar with the house, Lexi shamelessly asked for help. Despite that, it was quite insensitive of her, knowing that this mean Louis Lu would help pack his beloved's belongings, Lexi still chose to be honest and blunt.
After all, Louis Lu would appreciate it more than pretending that she knew more things. Also, at the very least, Louis Lu would understand things of having his love of his life leave him because of his reasoning.
"No," Without batting an eye, Louis Lu refused which Lexi foreseen deep down. "The room is there." Still, Louis Lu jerked his chin towards a certain direction.
"Oh, okay..." Lexi shrugged her shoulders as she briefly raised her brows once again. She guessed that she would do all the work and then talk to him when she was done packing Victoria Tang's things.
With that said note, Lexi headed upstairs while Louis Lu stared at her figure. When Lexi entered the first room — the guest room — Louis Lu faintly chuckled before heading to the kitchen.
To him, he'll at least let Lexi struggle a little. He appreciated that she wanted to protect Victoria Tang from him, but, at the same time, he wasn't that pleased that Lexi was doing it so boldly.
Despite that, not that Louis Lu would go against Victoria Tang's wishes. If she didn't want to see him anymore, so be it.

"That Louis Lu... he also had a childish side of him, I see."As she opened the fourth door, Lexi ground her teeth as she rolled her eyes.
Who would have thought that the second floor of this villa had too many rooms? Why does Louis Lu need that much room? After all, they were just three living in this house — not to mention, Vincent Tang's constant stay in the hospital for checkups as he would often contract fevers and minor sickness as he had health issues.
At the fourth door, Lexi heaved a sigh of relief upon sensing this would probably the master's bedroom. Well, it was larger than the rest and unlike the other rooms, the room had the mix of Victoria Tang and Louis Lu's scent.
"Okay..." For some reason, Lexi tiptoed her way inside as if she was a thief. That's her body's instinct as this was apparently someone else bedroom.
Now, she realized that it was a good thing that Louis Lu didn't help her. It was, in a way, considerate of him.
Lexi searched the room for a minute and unlike their room that had a walk-in closet, this room's closet should be pulled from the wall. It was like the entire wall had different slides, so Lexi had to check one by one to see if they were Victoria Tang's things.
"Wow... just when I thought Ethan has too many clothes — Lou is just the same. Though, Lou's clothes were like, err... uniform." After seeing two closets full of suits that has the same design but a different color, Lexi chuckled.
In contrast to her flashy husband, Louis Lu seemed to buy clothes with same designe in different colors if he liked it. Well, the design were exquisite anyway and just a pair cost a lot, so no one would even dare make fun of it.
Lexi then resumed on checking; there were slides full of men's accessories, ties, and a few jewelries which Lexi a.s.sumed were Victoria Tang's. Hence, Lexi picked a few that Victoria Tang could wear on any occasion before moving on to the next wall closet.
It took Lexi half an hour segregating the things that Victoria Tang would need. Actually, all the chosen clothes and accessories were just Lexi's preferences because Victoria Tang didn't specifically told her what clothes she needed.
Also, Lexi only found one suitcase therefore, she tried to maximize the s.p.a.ce. Feeling a little exhausted by packing things, Lexi then flinched upon hearing Louis Lu's voice.
"Done?" he asked.
