She Will Be Mine 14 Chapter 14

Saya struggled miserably against the stranger's embrace, keeping her mouth tightly shut. The man continued his a.s.sault easily overpowering the pet.i.te beauty in his arms. One fought to be free while the other fought to deepen the kiss, probing her sealed mouth with his tongue. But Saya's mouth was impenetrable. The two deep in their battle forgot about the third person in the hall, watching them with animosity.

"HEY!", she yelled angrily, trying to get the attention of the two people kissing in front of her.

She was ignored fueling her animosity. She couldn't see the face of the girl the love of her life called his 'girlfriend'. His vast frame covering her image perfectly. Unable to continue watching the scene before her she stormed off angrily, vowing to figure out the ident.i.ty of this so-called 'girlfriend'. And when she does, she vowed to make the little s.l.u.t disappeared.

Hearing the sound of the elevator Saya was finally released, her breathing haggard from struggling. Angry and confused at the man's actions she used all the strength she had to push him away and with a quickness that surprise the man, Saya raised her leg to kick his groin, aiming directly for his b.a.l.l.s. Groaning in pain he immediately dropped to his knees, carefully cradling his bruised baby makers. But before he could recover from her kick, Saya kneed his beautiful face, causing a spurt of blood to burst from his nose. The man landed on his back one hand holding his genitals and the other his nose. "Ahhhh," the man grunted in pain.

"Saya! What's going on?! What are you doing?!," Alexis shouted, running over to her G.o.ddaughter after witnessing her knee the unknown man in the face.

Alexis was finally able to soothe the parents of the third s.e.xual a.s.sault victim and she rushed over to the forensic department to meet Saya. Knowing her G.o.ddaughter's personality she figured that she went to the morgue first. Her a.s.sumption was correct but she never expected to witness her brutally a.s.saulting an employee! Alexis was rattled and concern knowing Saya must have had a good reason for her actions. Alexis saw Saya raise her leg to deliver another kick to the fallen man and she yelled, "STOP! SAYA STOP!"

Alexis pulled Saya away from the man and she put herself between the two. The man continued to grunt in pain as he picked himself off the ground still pinching his nose to stop the bleeding. Alexis turned to face the man and upon recognizing his face she made a small knowing sound, "Oh."

"Saya I did give you a warning, didn't I? I said he was rude and arrogant. But you can't go around beating up employees for being rude! No matter how much he deserves it!" Alexis scolded.

Saya understanding her aunt's words replied angrily, "Auntie so this is the top forensic pathologist who made those interns quit? You said he was rude and mean, not a s.e.xual predator!!! No wonder those interns quit. Isn't there a clause in the agreement that s.e.xual hara.s.sment is excluded?! Those interns deserve justice! This predator needs to go to jail!"

"Saya what are you talking about? We never had a single s.e.xual hara.s.sment case against Dr. Takahas.h.i.+. It's actually the opposite. What happened? Tell auntie sweetie," Alexis asked in confusion.

"Auntie he--

Before she could speak another word, the man interrupted her, "I'm sorry Saya. I didn't mean to kiss you. I saw you snooping in the corner and it's inexcusable of me but in the heat of the moment I thought if that daft girl saw me kissing someone else she would finally give up on me."

"I wasn't snooping! I was just unlucky to chance upon you two!" Saya screeched, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand.

"I'm really sorry, I just wanted her to leave me alone."

"Who gave you the right to use me as a scapegoat?!," she screamed pointing an angry finger at him.

Alexis still a little confused at the situation asked Saya to explained further. Saya described the events leading up to the kiss to her aunt. Afterwards, Alexis nodded her head in understanding. Who didn't know about the audacious la.s.s after Dr. Riku Takahas.h.i.+? It was a well known and juicy hospital gossip. While most of the staff felt Dr. Takahas.h.i.+ could be too brutal at times, they still admire his skills and respected him. They felt bad that he was constantly being hounded by such an annoying fly who couldn't take no for an answer.

"Miss, I do sincerely apologize. I'm not asking for your forgiveness because I don't deserve it. My actions are inexcusable.," Riku said.

Saya peered into Riku's eyes intensely, trying to determine the sincerity of his words. Her mesmerizing eyes seemed to glow reflecting an unbound intellect. Reaching a decision she told him, "I hope to learn much from you, Dr. Takahas.h.i.+. Please don't let this happen again. Next time I won't be so kind and forgiving."

Riku smiled his b.l.o.o.d.y nose couldn't lessen his unnatural beauty. "Call me Riku, Miss Saya Summers." Saya raised her eyebrow in wonder, her aunt had never revealed her full name.

"I saw your intern application and with your background and intelligence, you're basically a celebrity here in our department. Many of our forensic pathologists are fighting to be your mentor. I got a little curious and if I'm being honest I did a little research on you. Your resume speaks volume but then again that's no surprise considering who your parents are," Riku stated.

"So you knew who I was from the beginning? When did you realize I was hiding in the corner? How'd you recognize me?," Says asked curiously, knowing that her parents always kept her image out of the news and public.

"I knew you were there the moment you stepped out of the elevator. I recognized you because your aunt's family blog has tons of pictures of you. Isn't making dioramas of crime scenes a grotesque hobby for a five year old?," Riku said teasingly.

"Auntie!"

Alexis smiled guiltily and said, "Well now that you have met it's time for us to go Saya. Dr. Takahas.h.i.+ has a lot of work let's not bother him. He still needs to put some ice on that nose."

'And his b.a.l.l.s,' Saya thought with an amused grin.

The grin didn't escape Riku's notice and he winced again at the soreness of his raw b.a.l.l.s. He didn't expect such strength and brute force from such a small girl. But then again he couldn't fault the girl, he was a brute forcing himself on her. No matter the reason he was shocked at his own uncharacteristic actions. He didn't know what possessed him to kiss her so suddenly but somewhere in the corner of his mind, he didn't regret his actions.

"We'll leave you to tend to your sore body parts," said Saya emphasizing the word 'parts'.

Turning to her auntie Saya continued, "Auntie I should really get home. I know you and uncle are busy so why don't we make a date for dinner sometime this week when you two are less busy?"

"Oh yes, that sounds lovely. Thanks for being understanding sweetie. Let me walk you to your car."

They bid farewell to Riku who gave them a slight nod of his head and a soft goodbye.

Riku entered the bathroom in his office holding onto an emergency kit. Pulling out two single used cold packs. He unbuckled his belt and slip one cold pack under his briefs, shuddering at the sudden cold but he immediately gave a sigh of relief as the burning of his b.a.l.l.s slowly started to numb from the cold. He washed his face carefully in the sink checking to see if his nose was broken. Fortunately, it was not but it was definitely going to swell and bruise by tomorrow. He awkwardly walked out of the bathroom and laid down on the sofa in his office, icing his nose with the second cold pack.

He made himself comfortable, contemplating the earlier events. Riku's sharp senses made him aware of Saya's presence the moment she stepped out of the elevator. Upon seeing her face he knew exactly who she was. Whether she liked it or not she was famous around here. Who didn't know about the G.o.ddaughter of the chief surgeon and chief of North Star Police Department? Most of all who didn't know she was the daughter of the two famous private eyes of Summer's Investigation Agency. Summer was a household name in their world. But Riku never cared about a person's familial circ.u.mstances, often looking down on those who used their connections to get ahead.

So he was a bit surprised to learn Saya's indifference to the connections her family has. She could have bypa.s.sed the interns.h.i.+p application with a snap of her wrist, well with the snap of her G.o.dparents' wrists. Instead, she went ahead with the normal procedure beating several applicants with her academic prowess and experience. Her resume was loaded with several cases she has helped her parents on and several cases she herself has solved. It was phenomenal!

Was he attracted to her intelligence? Was Riku a sapios.e.xual? Yes, he was definitely attracted to intellectuals. But the moment he saw her trying to make herself scarce as he tried to reject the advances of that stupid girl he felt a stir in his mind. He has seen her pictures before so he didn't understand why he was suddenly so surprised by her actual appearance. She was beautiful no doubt but he has seen enough beauties to be indifferent. If must have been those eyes. So big. So beautiful. So enchanting. Siren eyes. They could make any man jump to their death.

'Saya Summers you're a lot more interesting that I thought you would be," Riku thought to himself.
