"HEEEEYYYYY, HARU! YOU TOLD ME TO COME WITH FOOD. ARE YOU THERE? DID SAYA KILL YOU? OPEN THE GATES!", Kaito yelled interrupting the two again.
Kaito pressed his face against the cold metal gates trying his best to squeeze inside. His charming and boyish face was pressed between two metal bars.
"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING? SOME HANKY PANKY? JUST SCREAM ONCE FOR YES AND TWICE FOR NO."
Haru stood up straightening his clothes and brus.h.i.+ng the leaves off his clothes. Saya watched him clean himself up and decided to do the same. Her hair was a tangled mess and she did her best to brush it with her fingers. She tugged at her small yellow top, regretting her choice of clothing today. The left spaghetti strap of her soft s.h.i.+rt had a tear and was barely holding on. 'd.a.m.nit Haru! You brute!'
"Let the idiot in," said Haru flatly as he walked towards the house.
"Hey, where do you think you're going? Haru!," Saya asked in frustration as she watched him walk away.
Saya's shoulders sag in defeat and she made her way slowly towards the gate. She discovered the ma.s.sive idiot trying to climb up the gates like was some kind of ninja. She walked over and opened the gates leaving Kaito hanging onto the bars like a monkey as it opened. He smiled sheepishly and jump down awkwardly.
"Heeeey Saya. How are you doing? Did you trip and fall? Your hair's all messy and what happened to your s.h.i.+rt?," Kaito asked wide-eyed and with the most disgustingly insincere innocent voice, he could muster.
Saya felt her cheeks get hot and she embarra.s.singly tried to fix her hair again and touch the tear on her s.h.i.+rt's strap. Clearing her throat she said, "I'm good. How are you?"
"Oh, you know been doing this and that. Getting into some trouble. Same old, same old," he replied cheerfully.
"Hmm," nodded Saya in response.
Saya was expecting some sort of negative reaction from Kaito, similar to the welcome she received from his twin sister Sakura. But she should have known better. The twin's shared similar features. Both undeniably good looking and athletic but beyond that, they were as different as night and day. Unlike his older twin sister, Kaito was more open, easy going, and lively. He didn't have a serious bone in his body but was positively kind and forgiving. He was, of course, angry at the way Saya broke his best friend's heart. But Kaito always believed there was a reason why Saya disappeared without a word. He wasn't one to judge and now that it was clear that Haru has forgiven Saya, all he could do was support his best friend's decision. Kaito just wished he could convince Sakura to do the same.
"Oh hey Haru's back!," Kaito exclaimed happily.
"Did you give it to her?," Haru asked.
"Nope, not yet."
'Give me what?', thought Saya looking at the two men towering over her small frame.
"Hey what are you two hiding? Haru what's behind your back," Saya asked, walking behind him.
"MY FOOD! Haru what are you doing with my food? GIVE THEM BACK!!"
"No," Haru replied curtly, dodging Saya's hands.
"Kaito give," he ordered.
"Saya here you go. Veggie burgers with sweet potato fries and healthy homemade yogurt. All made by yours truly and a whole lot tastier and healthier than the c.r.a.p you bought," Kaito said handing Saya the package of food.
"But my smoothie," Saya whined.
"No," Haru said sharply. He turned to Kaito and gave him the bag of fast food Saya bought and told him, "Go wait for me in the car."
"Hey! I'm not your servant. You can't just order me around!" Kaito feigned loudly, a smirk forming on his impish mouth.
Haru scowled and glanced at Kaito with a quick glare.
"Ehh, hehe, oh my master, forgive this servant's disobedient words. I will go wait in the car right now. Hehe," Kaito said submissively his eyes twinkling and betraying his tone.
Kaito began his walk towards the parked car outside of the gates like he was a member of a marching band about to perform. Saya couldn't help but chuckle and say, "I'm glad to see Kaito and the relations.h.i.+p between you two hasn't changed."
Haru's lips twitched ever so slightly in an almost smile but it was so quick that most would have missed it. But not Saya. She caught the slight change in his demeanor. To outsiders he might seem cold to everyone, however, Saya knows how much he truly treasured the friends.h.i.+p he has with the twins.
"Haru was taking my food away really necessary? I'm not a child. I can choose to eat whatever I want to."
"If I leave you alone all you'll end up eating fast food and instant noodles. You might have a fast metabolism but it doesn't mean the c.r.a.p you eat won't affect your health," Haru lectured her seriously.
Saya opened her mouth to reply but quickly closed it again unable to give him a proper retort because he was right. She clenched the bag of food Kaito gave her and she could smell the delicious aroma coming from the bag. She knew without a doubt the food made by Kaito was going to be delicious. Kaito was a promising chef and was double majoring in business and culinary arts at NSU.
"You should head in and eat before the food gets cold," said Haru. He took a step forward towards Saya and brushed a stray hair behind her ear, his fingers pausing briefly against her warm cheek. Saya couldn't help but lean into his palm but quickly realizing her actions she abruptly broke free from his touch. She couldn't afford to get lost in her desires again, afraid that next time would lead her into a place with no way out.
Haru noticed the struggle Saya had with herself and didn't push it any further. He was satisfied with the events from today. His body was full of l.u.s.t and desire for her and truth be told he yearned for more, however, his heart was full knowing she still desired him. Haru knew needed to be patient with Saya.
"I'll see you tomorrow."
Saya watched him walk away from her, his stance tall and proud never looking back. She stood there watching until his figure disappeared from her sight.

"Sir' the young master is back and currently taking a nap in the living room," the timid maid said softly to the old butler.
"Good, good. The cleaners will be done putting the room together soon. How was the young master like when he got home? Did he seem okay?" asked the butler.
"He seemed okay for the most part. He was a little irritated with something and kept mumbling to himself but quickly sat down on the sofa and slept."
The old butler nodded his head in understanding. He checked on the young master sleeping peacefully on the sofa and heaved a sigh of relief. At least for a few hours, they'll have a moment of peace. The old butler made his way to the master's bedroom to check on the progress and met with the workers stepping out of the bedroom.
"h.e.l.lo, sir'. The room is back to its original state. All the ruined furniture has been replaced with the same ones," said one of the workers.
"Good, good. Thank you for all your hard work gentlemen."

Dear readers,
I'm sorry I haven't updated in a long time. Like I mentioned in the last chapter I'm going through some personal stuff. I've been trying to process everything that's been happening in my life and frankly hadn't had much time or energy to write. Thankfully I've been doing a lot better. I still can't promise regular updates but I will try to do my best. Thank you for all your support.
