Oh no! She would be in so deep trouble. She didn't understand what to do. This was simply alien language for her!

She only started learning to drive a car around two years ago. When she was in country U, she didn't have to drive any car there. The city she lived in, city N, had sufficient public transport so it's not necessary to buy a car.

She was scratching her head and was still struggling with all the terms from the website when suddenly she felt the car movement stopped. Only then Shao Yan remembered that she was with Li Xiqing and she had been ignoring him for a while.

Felt so guilty, Shao Yan raised her head and looked around. Huh??

"Why did we stop here?", she turned to him and asked him, "Didn't you say you need to see a piece of land for corporation C?"

They were now at a roadside, in the middle of the city. The sky just slightly turned orange. It would get dark soon.

People was still walking around busily. The CBD area was never asleep. Stores were still bustling with crowds. Restaurants were always crowded. Soon, high rises building would lit up the night sky and city S would be showing off her mighty status proudly.

And that was exactly the reason why she preferred to live in this area, because she wouldn't have felt so lonely when Qi Ling was away.

He parked the car and then turned to her.

"Is something wrong? You looked like you were in a big trouble." He looked at her and she could see concern in his eyes. "Anything that I can help with?".

She was considering if she needed to tell him the truth. But she was afraid he would looked down on her.

Li Xiqing saw Shao Yan was debating with herself. His eyes twinkled and with amused smile, he gently touched her phone and paused for a while. He looked at her as if asking for permission. She wanted to take her phone away, but she decided to let it be. She slowly let her fingers off her phone.

Shao Yan bit her lips and showed an embarra.s.sed face while waiting for him to look through her phone.

Li Xiqing took her phone and looked at the website that she was looking at.

He quickly understood her issue. And he also guessed that she would be too courteous to ask for his help.

Li Xiqing returned her phone to her, "What is the make of your car?" he asked while he unplugged his phone from the mobile charger.

Shao Yan took her phone back and replied him, "Mazda3" and she quickly added, "But don't worry, I can figure it out myself." and then she gave a sheepish smile.

Li Xiqing didn't say anything, he just unlocked his phone and browsed through his contacts. He found the person he was looking for, and dialed the number.

"It's me. I need a car battery for a Mazda3."

Shao Yan wanted to stop him, but he shook her head and told her to wait for a while. The person he was talking to was rambling on the phone for so long, she couldn't hear anything other than buzzing noises.

After a while, Li Xiqing laughed and said "Alright. You can set it up. Let me know when and where. So do you have the battery now?" he looked relax so she figured he must be talking to an old friend.

The person on the other side was grumbling again, and then Li Xiqing finally said, "No, it's for a friend. That's great then. I will pick it up now." he paused to listen to the friend's next question.

And then he laughed out loud, "Alright Alright. I'm already in the CBD area now. I should reach your place in about 30 minutes. See you." and then he quickly hung up.

He buckled his seatbelt again, and started to drive away.

Shao Yan felt so guilty. She was supposed to accompany him to look for the land. But it ended up to be him accompanying her to get a car battery.

He drove to the suburb, and after a while, from afar, Shao Yan saw rows and rows of warehouses that were converted to car shops.

They were lit up so bright that the area didn't feel like a car shops at all. More like a futuristic game arcade center.

She saw a lot of cars around the area. Some cars even had a weird exterior that she never had seen before.

Li Xiqing drove around and he seemed to be familiar with the area. He stopped in front of a very busy shop that occupied three warehouses.

There were a crowd of people who were standing in front of the shop while working on cars. Some were chatting so loudly, some were looking under the car hood. But they all suddenly stopped what they're doing when they saw a car was approaching their shop.

Li Xiqing parked and got out of the car. She quickly unbuckled her seatbelt too, and stepped out before he opened the car door for her.

When the crowd finally saw who the owner of this car, they got so excited and started to fist b.u.mped him and hugged him.

"Qing ge!! Why only come now! Where have you been?"

"Bro! You've forgotten your roots, huh!!"

"A Qing, come come, place your bet here! Polo and Bo are going to race soon!"

They treated him like their own, so it's obvious to Shao Yan that these people were all his friends. No one had looked at her yet, when suddenly, someone poked her arm.

"Hey! Pretty girl, you with A Qing?" suddenly a small face appeared next to Shao Yan.

A girl with waist long black hair and smokey eye make up. She wore black short with cutout black T-s.h.i.+rt that showed off her toned midriff.

She was really pretty.

She had Dr. Marten boots on. Her look had a heavy influence of gothic culture but Shao Yan thought that she looked even more attractive this way.

She tucked her hair behind her left ear. She circled Shao Yan. She was still scrutinizing Shao Yan.

Shao Yan felt so awkward. She could see her left ear was full or earrings in different shapes. Shao Yan couldn't helped to wonder if those were painful.

Shao Yan was not sure what to reply her. Li Xiqing who was walking ahead of her, suddenly turned back to look at Shao Yan.

He walked back to Shao Yan, and looked at the long hair girl. "Polo, where is the battery?"
