Ten Years Late: The Bullied Husband Chapter 137 - It's Not Time To Sleep Yet

The family of four enjoyed their time in the amus.e.m.e.nt park and the last ride they took was the Ferris wheel. While they were inside the carriage, the fireworks display started and it filled the sky with colors. The fireworks looked like flowers in the sky and the kids couldn't help but admire the beauty of it.

"Look, mama, it's so pretty!" Exclaimed Xia Mengjie happily from the gla.s.s window.

"Pretty!" Followed Xia Liqin.

Li Bingbing grinned happily at her kids, "Right? Come, let's take a photo together!"

Li Bingbing was sitting beside Xia Sinian and when their two children came to their sides, Li Bingbing started taking photos of them as a family.

"Mama, let's come back here on my birthday, okay?" Xia Mengjie said with a bright smile.

"Eh? Here again? Why don't we go somewhere else instead?"

Xia Mengjie blinked a few times, "Like where, mama?"

"We can go to the zoo," Xia Sinian suggested.

"Zoo?" Xia Mengjie tilted her head to the side, looking innocently at her parents.

When Xia Liqin saw that, he copied his sister and tilted his head in an adorable manner as well, "Soo?"

Li Bingbing hugged Xia Sinian's arm and grinned, "I can't believe I gave birth to these two cute kids."

Xia Sinian laughed lightly, "You're just realizing it now?"

"Mama, what's zoo?"

"It's where you see a different kind of animal, little lady."

Xia Mengjie's eyes sparkled in delight when she heard 'animals' from her. "Will there be cats and dogs and monkeys?"

"Why yes, you will be able to see them there!"

While Li Bingbing was busy explaining what was a zoo to her children, Xia Sinian started to feel dizzy but he tried his best to look fine for his family. By the time their ride was done, the moment he stepped out of the carriage, everything went dark for him.

"Sisi!" Li Bingbing was surprised when she saw Xia Sinian lose his consciousness in front of her. She started panicking when she saw how pale he was. "Ambulance! Someone call for an ambulance!"

Xia Mengjie and Xia Liqin were looking, clueless as the people started gathering. Their mother was panicking in front of them and they didn't know what was happening.

Why were the people around have a worried look on their faces? Why was their mother panicking?

Xia Mengjie turned and saw her father on the ground. She blinked a few times, "It's not time to sleep yet, we are not at home. Why is papa sleeping here?"

"His condition is getting worse. The cancer cells have spread through his body and I am afraid even the medications can't help him anymore. I have already told him that he should stay here so that we can monitor him and treat his symptoms to at least lengthen his time but he insisted on the other thing" said the doctor.

Li Bingbing's eyes were red and teary, Xia Sinian had never mentioned it to her. He always told her that he was getting better but that was just actually a lie. Why would he lie about it to her?

After talking with the doctor, she entered the private room where Xia Sinian was in. He was lying down on the bed with Xia Mengjie and Xia Liqin on either of his sides, hugging him.

Xia Liqin was fast asleep and so was Xia Mengjie, they were clueless about their father's condition that's why they were sleeping so peacefully beside him.

The more she get closer to him, the more it made her have a hard time in breathing. Li Bingbing felt someone clenching her heart as her tears were threatening to spill.

She sat on the chair beside his bed, her eyes locked at Xia Sinian's face.

She thought that everything was going to be fine for them. She had always believed that Xia Sinian would never leave her but after hearing the truth from the doctor, that he was actually dying, she felt her whole world crush.

She reached out and held Xia Sinian's hand, her tears slowly rolling down her cheeks as she did, "Please... please don't take him from me."

It was the last thing that she wanted. She prayed hard and while she did, her tears continued to flow down her cheeks. "Please... please don't take him from me..."
