Wallace had actually thought that there will be people willing to buyout immediately but it seems that he thought too much. As the bidding started, buyout in the middle, is no longer accepted. 

"15.9 million!" 

"20 million!" The price was still quite low but it came from VIP room number 13 who had purchase a couple of expensive items like the one in room number 7 and 2. Some partic.i.p.ants in the lower floor felt disheartened seeing their partic.i.p.ation. Those VIP's surely have a lot of money to spare.

But some of the partic.i.p.ants couldn't just give up at this opportunity as they bid until it reached their purchasing limit. 

"69 million!" The price was still low. Sylvia was actually frowning at this because the other branch of the shop before had sold a set of Lamat Stones for 145 million about 6 months ago.

They had even lowered the base price and buyout price but it seems that the appearance of that specific magic spell that stops the magic jammer affected their sales. They can only try to empty their stocks of Lamat Stone while the price was still quite high. 

'It is still too low. It must reach at least 90 million. We can't accept this.' Sylvia thought as she looked at the room 28 and soon a blue light lit up and the amount of their bid showed up.

"69.9 million!" Sylvia smiled seeing this. The battle between number 13 and 28 started until it reached 92 million before the person in the room number 28 stopped their battle.

Wallace had felt something as soon as Sylvia looked at room number 28. Their room was in number 27 so his Divine Sense immediately felt a very faint fluctuation of soul connection. It was too subtle that he almost missed it if not for him a.s.similating his Divine Sense with his intermediate Void Phase.

That's right, it is the reward he acquired from his mission.

Wallace had actually thought that by learning the intermediate level of Void Phase, he would be able to have a wider range of Void Phasing Steps or decrease his mana consumptions or even resolve the mana shockwave occuring whenever he maximize the technique to the farthest range it could reach. 

At the very least, he learned another skill called Void Domain that made him sensitive to any changes in his surrounding s.p.a.ce. 

He had only kept silent for a while and made a guess about what happened between the bidding war of number 13 and number 28. Of course, he wasn't planning to tell this findings to his cla.s.smates as he doesn't have any evidence. It would be enough to be careful with the remaining nine items to be auctioned off. 

"Let's go to the 42nd item! This is a 3-days pa.s.s at the Revitalization Mana Spring...  Yes, you didn't misheard me, this is a genuine 3 days pa.s.s at the national treasure of our country. The only Revitalization Mana Spring located at the Aries Fortress will be accessible for 30 magicians that haven't experience the Arcane Baptism yet. We have luckily acquired one opportunity for you guys! The base price is 18.1 million credits and the buyout price is 130 million credits."

The pa.s.s was a golden card with a very exquisite carve of the national flag of the country and blue gem at the center. It was even glowing for a little bit. 

"Is this serious? What are they thinking?" 

"Isn't this pa.s.s too valuable? I can't imagine that the government would allow anyone to acquire this opportunity." 

"Me too, but since this is an auctioned item from the New Era's Magic Shop, it seems that they really are allowing civilians to partake in this opportunity."

"Mhm... Anyway, there's only one pa.s.s so it wouldn't affect the balance." 

Some couldn't help but make a reaction and comment about this item.  After all, it was common knowledge that the bring was only given to outstanding individuals. 

The Revilatization Mana Spring wasn't always in the best condition. Everytime a group of magicians used the spring, the concentrated Mana will be thinner a bit dilluted due to impure Mana of the magicians. 

Only time would cleanse and improve the small spring so every opportunity was a treasure.

Apparently, no buyout sign came as the bidding was started by a lady at the lower floor. 

From 18 million credits to 45 million credits, it only take a few seconds and it's still increasing.

"Wallace, it seems you're not interested at this?" Tracy asked as she and Ross was obviously tempted at this item.

'Oh right, I already have an Arcane Link but they're still unaware.' Wallace recalled how he kept his Arcane Baptism and possessing Mana Body a secret with Yumi.

It's not like he wasn't aware how to register himself to the government as a magician with Arcane Link, he just didn't want to be too occupied dealing with his status once it was revealed. 

A teenager with a Mana Body would make him busy in a lot of ways like meeting a lot of people. After all, the Mana Body would normally be acquired by Adepts or Artificer at the age of 30 or more. 

Although he wanted some level of fame to his name, he wanted to acquire it through the use of his Mana Artifacts or other products.

Wallace heaved a sighed before answering Tracy. It doesn't matter anymore. 

"Mhm.. It's not that I'm not interested. I'm just not suited for the item. Maybe for my siblings..."

"What do you mean not suited?" 

"I'm done with Arcane Baptism."

"What?!" Ross and Tracy were surprise upon hearing it. They didn't bother to ask whether the baptism was a success or not because of Wallace's confident tone.

Even the female Battle Mage Bodyguard was a bit shocked after hearing this.

'So that's why his Mana Fluctuation was so stable. He has achieved the perfect mysterious mana affinity, the Arcane Link. No unnecessary leakage, a very subtle Mana Fluctuation. Truly an impressive feat. He should be at the same age as Miss Tracy...' The lady couldn't help but compare Wallace and Tracy since they were cla.s.smates. She thought that her young miss was already very talented since she was always first in terms of academic gradings, but this man in front of her just defeated probably more than 90 or 99% of young magicians in the country.

"You're truly impressive Wallace. You are probably the best magicians iinour age." Ross can only admire Wallace successful advancement. 

"If not for the rumored illegal but successful gene modification of Mavis Clan, that created a powerful 8-year old magicians... You'll be the strongest magician at the younger generation." The lady bodyguard muttered softly but Wallace didn't miss what she said. He was planning to ask some clarification but he felt that it's not a good time as the three where now intently watching the 43rd item in the auction.

"This is a set of Grade A Holy Elixir! It can heal almost any injuries as long as the patient still have some remaining breath. Unfortunately, this Elixir would not work to normal people. This can only be consumed or applied to an injured patient or magician. The base price is  50 million and there is no buyout price."

The 6 Holy Elixir is like 6 lives so it was extremely precious. Although there's still many medicines or potions out there with a cheaper price.

The effects of this Elixir was also notable as there will be no side effects whenever it is being consumed by the magicians unlike some of other inferior copies of the elixir. 

The Grade A Holy Elixir was sold for 349 million credits to room number 16 who fought against number 28 for a few times before the latter gave up. 

It was the same method with other VIP rooms. The number 4 and 8 as well as room 20 would always fight to anyone in bidding the battle before giving up after reaching a high price. 

Soon there were only two items remaining in the auction. 

"This is a sack of Grade C Mana Beasts Cores..."
