The battle wasn't over yet.

The forces outside of the dome, or the other members of the Z-Company, were only being temporarily held by the four Elysiums. He didn't even know how long they could last.

Wallace wasn't planning to eliminate all the three hundred members of the organization on the island but he wanted to create enough s.p.a.ce for him to take what he needed.

He glanced at his s.p.a.ces.h.i.+p and saw the spherical gla.s.s covering it. He remembers that after breaking this gla.s.s, a powerful wave of pressure would come down to everyone on the island.

It happened before when it was accidentally destroyed by Yumi. It would only attract more trouble. This time, he made sure not to make the same mistake as he can use this later.

Within this dome, only five more researchers were left behind as they tried to hide within a sheltered magic room inside one of the remaining buildings.

They were probably unaware whether the four peak Adept Mages were dead or not.

'Mhmm...'

Seeing that they were harmless low-level magicians and all their call for help were being intercepted by Avalon, he deemed that it was not necessary to spend some time eliminating them.

The Lotus Mech Frame vanished from where it was standing from and suddenly appeared inside the spherical gla.s.s beside the s.p.a.ces.h.i.+p. He didn't intend to destroy the gla.s.s as it can serve as a layer of protection itself.

Wallace quickly stored the Mech Frame within his spatial bag as he wore his Bio-Armor instead and started to carefully dismantle or take apart the important parts of the s.p.a.ces.h.i.+p through the help given by Avalon.

He was doing this smoothly as he already studied the structure of the s.p.a.ces.h.i.+p ever since he planned to create one of his own several months ago.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

A series of explosions can be heard as the dome seems to be experiencing multiple bombardments from the outside.

As Wallace expected, only those peak Adepts were allowed to freely enter and exit the dome. Now that the four were dead, they had to forcefully get in.

'Avalon had intercepted all external communications and I would've sensed it using my Divine Sense if there's any manbased communication being sent out. Is it Soul Arts? Arcana?'

Wallace didn't know but the other members of the organization must have been informed without his knowledge. The situation within this dome must have been leaked already.

If that was the case, Wallace even praised them in his hearts as these members were really brave. After all, anyone that could not be handled by four Peak Adept Mages must obviously be a very strong opponent.

Adding the fact that they can't contact the four Peak Adepts, they were surely aware that something happened to the four.

Wallace used Avalon to instruct the Elysiums to take care of these people outside but was suddenly rejected since the Elysiums were also in trouble.

He didn't have time to check the status of the four automatons a while ago due to his recent battle but after checking it now, he discovered that one of them was already destroyed while the other three were almost reaching their limits.

'They're capable, huh. Tsk... Then there's no time to hesitate...'

The dome seems to be capable of holding on for a few more minutes so he decided to ignore them for now.

The most important thing was to take the container of the remaining Aether and the GH Drive. Using his bio-armor in this situation was making this task easier since the armor can easily create sharp blades or even hammer to break apart the s.p.a.ces.h.i.+p.

As soon as he took those important parts, he took some other parts of the s.p.a.cecraft as long as it can still fit within his 10 cubic meter Spatial Bag and after a couple more minutes, the previous majestic s.p.a.cecraft was left with its external frame.

Ding!

A beautiful sound of notification to confirm the mission completion was heard. He ignored it for now and continued what he was doing.

Wallace grabbed the remaining parts of the s.p.a.cecraft as he tried to use his Void Phase...

Unfortunately, he didn't disappear and reappear at his targeted location.

'As expected... It's really not enough, huh...'

The Void Phase he had practiced was only for his small body. Taking others with him was already very taxing in his mana consumption like when he took Yumi with him and escaped this island before. And of course, including this short distance Void Phase while on a Mech Frame was five times more taxing already.

Now that he tried it to the larger s.p.a.cecraft's frame, he realized that it was truly an impossible feat and he probably needed the advanced version of this Void Phase to somehow accomplish this task.

Wallace can only shake his head and removed his bio-armor and recover the mech frame from his spatial bag as he readied its a.r.s.enal to destroy the remaining parts of the s.p.a.ces.h.i.+p.

"Goodbye, X23A6..."

Boom!

As soon as Wallace was about to fire a shot using the Mech Frame's crystal cannon, a large explosion was heard as part of the dome was destroyed which allowed the members of the organization to enter the place to head towards Wallace's location.

Wallace immediately sensed that there were only thirty of them and they were all carrying similar weapons.

Their strength had all reached an Adept level but wasn't at the peak yet. Wallace then sensed a familiar aura different to Arcane Link...

'Oh... This is probably the Cryptic Link were only Battle Mages that were not capable of surviving the Arcane Baptism or someone who wanted an immediate strength would use...'

He had already accomplished his mission so he wanted to get out of this place already but it seems that he had to deal with them first.

"Fire!"

The leader of the group shouted as soon as he saw the tall Mech Frame.

'Hey, the gla.s.s is still here... Are you blind?'

Their group carries identical Mana Artifacts designed like a bayonet. As soon as the leader commanded, they all pointed their weapons towards Wallace and fired at will.

Wallace tried to use his Void Phase but suddenly realized that he cannot do so.

He only frowned for a bit as he started to get on a defensive stance.

Boom!

A huge pressure astounded everyone and most of the Adepts even wobbled a bit. They already expected this to happen after destroying the gla.s.s that was containing the contaminated aura coming from the aircraft but it was still very hard for them to take on this pressuring aura similar to Cryptic Baptism.

Aside from that, everyone grinned as they were expecting that the enemy took most of the damage as they pushed themselves to continue firing at the enemy.

An almost invisible film had coated the Mech Frame's entire body before deflecting all the bullets coming from the enemy.

They were all shooting Mana Enhanced bullets or materialized magic spells so it was quickly draining the Mech Frame's Energy.

He didn't want to defend at first and only wanted to escape using his Void Phase but...

"What's happening? I still have mana... I can still connect to the void but why..."

The young magician can ignore the pressure but couldn't understand why he can't suddenly use his treasured Void Phase...

"It doesn't make sense..."

He spread out his Divine Sense and carefully studied the place.

"This..."

Wallace made a rough guess but he couldn't be bothered to determine whether it is a correct one.

Anyway, the Mech Frame was still fast on its own as he fired towards the remaining parts of the s.p.a.ces.h.i.+p to totally destroy them.

The four thrusters behind the Mech then activated as it charged towards the group of enemies.

They didn't get scared and was instead looking delighted at this action...

"What's wrong with these people?"

As soon as he neared them and about to use its short-ranged weapons, he suddenly sensed an incoming threat coming at him...

"A trap?!"

Dual Burst!

Everything slowed down as his brain waves accelerated accompanied physical acceleration...

He decided to store the Mech Frame in his spatial bag and land on the ground. He then tried to inspect the surroundings but couldn't find where was that threat coming from...

'No visible incoming projectiles, no enemies underground, no magic formation placed on the ground... Why were these people look so delighted after I approached them?'

'Wait, don't tell me...'

He focused his Divine Sense towards the group and observe their weapons...

'Sigh~ A suicide squad, huh. Fine...'

Anyway, if his deduction was correct... he should be capable of using his Void Phase...

Whoos.h.!.+

He immediately vanished and reappeared outside the dome. It also ended his Dual Burst and successfully escaped that death seeking squad.

"It works... I understand now..."

He no longer bothered fighting against that squad and retrieved all the four automatons to make sure that no evidence was left at the scene. Unfortunately, it seems that all of them were destroyed already.

At the very least, now that he has a genuine GH Drive, he can now start creating better and stronger automatons.
