Chapter 80. Wu Wei

'Yawn'

Ren yawned as he stared at his reaction on the van's window

The mirror was reflecting him making a detected expression as he stopped himself from sleeping.

"Ah, let's finish the interview and sleep the- whole day."

Watching Ren yawn, White bear said from the driving seat.

It was early in the morning and they had just left the set to go the the radio station for their interview.

"Why do I have to get dressed for a radio interview?"

Ren said as he thought about the stylist who had done his hair a while ago.

"Well, although it's a radio interview, there would be some cameras there as they will want to post the behind the scenes on their websites and a celebrity should always prep themselves to look more appealing."

"Yeah, I know that."

Ren nodded at that as he looked at his clothes.

He was wearing a knitted sweater with a black jacket and black jeans and a perfectly straight hairstyle.

He was looking handsome like he was going for a photoshoot.

As he was glancing at his clothes, his phone suddenly vibrated. There was a message on it.

[Brother Ren, it's your first radio interview today. I will definitely listen to it.]

The message was from Xiao Rin. After their talk, Xiao Rin behaviour had turned to normal.

She did not look much distracted these days and their scenes together are getting much better and better, even Director Fu was very happy with it.

After reading the message, Ren quickly answered by saying that she should sleep and not be awake just to listen to his interview as she would also be tired after the shooting.

After sending the message, Xiao Rin's reply came in a instant.

[Don't worry about it. I will sleep if I feel like it.]

Ren didn't reply again and just put his phone on silent. He felt that the messaging will never finish if he kept replying to her.

"You are getting along well with Xiao Rin."

White bear said as he saw Ren message Xiao Rin.

"Yeah, we sort of get along well."

"That's good. You should take care of each other as people from the same company."

"Don't worry, I know that."

"That's fine then. Oh, so you want to hear the radio?"

White bear said as he gestured to the radio in built in the van and Ren nodded and gestured him to do it.

He was feeling sleepy anyway, maybe his drowsiness will decrease after he listened to the radio.

[h.e.l.lo, our dear listeners, are you listening to our program this early in the morning. Well, waking early in the morning is always a good thing. You will feel refreshed after a good night sleep and seeing the sun rise is a beautiful experience.]

The voice in the radio was of a male. Ren was not able to see his face but the voice had a sort of soothing effect to it and it was nice to listen to it.

Ren felt his drowsiness going off as he continued to listen to the radio.

[We are getting many comments even this early in the morning. We are really grateful for that. Mr. A is commenting that he is on his way to home after a long night of work. He must have work hard. Mr. B is saying that it had became a habit of him to wake up early. We think that it's a really good habit to have.]

The RJ on the radio was speaking about the comments he had received and giving his own remarks on it.

People were also commenting frequently on the website. Although radio is not mainstream because of TV shows and morning dramas, it still had it's own user base.

There are many people who still liked to listen to radio early in the morning or at night.

Listening to the radio, Ren felt his drowsiness going off as he stretched his arms. He felt a new energy gus.h.i.+ng from the bottom.

He was now feeling excited about his radio interview and before he knew it, he was already in the radio station.

6 AM

Early in the morning, an old man with grizzled hair and a white moustache walked through the door of the radio station.

He was not an employee but the security guards didn't stop him and even greeted him with respect.

Even the female receptionist who was feeling sleepy due to her early s.h.i.+ft put on a bright expression as she greeted him politely.

"Good morning, Senior Wu."

"Yeah, you too, work hard."

The old gentleman was Wu Wei, a famous singer in the 90s and now a host in the radio station who's show has been going on for 10 years.

He was very respected here and everyone regarded him as a senior but despite his glorious past and respect, he had always behaved well with others.

That's why he was pretty famous in the radio station.

"Senior Wu, I hope you can feature in our show. It's a segment about old nostalgic songs."

An employee said to him as he was going to studio number 5.

"Me? I don't think I can sing anymore."

"Senior, you are still the emperor of love songs. Please, out ratings are a little down lately."

"I will see about that. Work hard."

Wu Wei didn't outright rejected him and left after a short exchange as he entered the studio number 5.

There he meet with Writer Hu and Producer Ma of his show.

"Senior, you are looking handsome today too."

Producer Ma greeted him with a smile on his face. Due to working with each other for 10 years, they were well familiar with each other.

"I don't think I look handsome now. I am just a old fart now."

"We all know it's not true. Senior Wu is still handsome."

Writer Hu said as she giggled.

"So, who's the guest today?"

"Oh, it's an actor called Xin Ren. He was in a controversy for sometime recently. Maybe you would have heard of him."

"I might have read about him on internet."

"Well, he was in the real-time search rankings for a long time."

"We will be talking about his drama, his life after the controversy and his upcoming plans. Overall it will be a segment of about 20 minutes interview and a 10 minute comment session."

Writer Hu said as she arranged the stack of papers in her hands.

"Here are some information about him."

Producer Ma said as he pa.s.sed some doc.u.ments to Wu Wei and he started reading them after receiving it.

"Although he's an actor, he's still a rookie and is quite young. Do you think he will be okay."

"Well, I think he was good in the second part of Whiz stars."

Producer Ma and Writer Hu discussed about Ren as they both drank their coffees.

"Well, we will see once we saw him."

Wu Wei muttered as he read through the doc.u.ments about Ren.
