"Don't worry about me, Mika. Save yourself!" Her friend, Mich.e.l.le, once again cried out.

Sob! Sob!

"M-Mich.e.l.le…" Mika murmured as tears streamed down on her face.

'G.o.d, I will do anything. Just please save my best friend.' Mika prayed in her mind as she watched her best friend who was about to die in the hands of the number of goblins. However, as if a G.o.d heard her pray, a powerful explosion suddenly exploded out, blocking the path of the wave of monster.

'W-What's happening?!' Mika held her gray cone hat with her right hand as she defends herself with her left hand which is holding her staff while keeping her balance.

The two men also stopped at their feet when they heard the powerful explosion as they heard the agonizing scream of the goblins and gray wolves. Looking behind them, they found a huge fire and smoke, burning the monsters alive.

"What in the world is happening?!" The man with a longsword on his back muttered with a flabbergasted expression.

"Don't ask me that. I don't even know myself!" The man with a steel bow answered with the same expression.

While they are staring in shock, Mika was jolted back to her senses as she cried out with a worried expression. "Mich.e.l.le!!!"

"MICh.e.l.lE!!!" Mike screamed out once again. However, there's no response at all as, she also could not find Mich.e.l.le. Thus, she started to become anxious while thinking that maybe Mich.e.l.le was caught up by the powerful explosion.

'N-No, Mich.e.l.le is alright!' Mika thought as she shook her head and slowly walked forward with determined eyes to search her best friend.

Upon seeing this, the two men behind her were momentarily stunned as they clicked their tongue at the same time, before running and stopped her from going.

"What are you doing? Are you insane?!"

"Vince? What are you doing? Get off me, I will find Mich.e.l.le!" Mika shouted when she saw the man with a steel bow who's trying to stop her. Attempting to pull her right arm off Vince, a rough and strong hands suddenly held her other arm.

"Mich.e.l.le is gone. You're going to kill yourself!" The man with a longsword on his back spoke with a loud voice as he clasped the flinging arm of Mika.

"You too, Bryan. Let go of my hand!" Mika demanded as she forcefully pulled her arms.

Upon seeing this, Bryan couldn't stop himself from grumbling in frustration. "Argh! You're mad!"

"We need to go now! Mika, come on!" Vince spoke while looking at the big fire, as he felt the increase in the temperature. Beads of sweat streamed down on his face.

"No, I'm not going without Mich.e.l.le!" Mika exclaimed without an ounce of hesitation as she starts to advance.

"Argh!" Bryan growled as he held his head in frustration. But then, his eyes locked with Vince as he saw him nodding his head.

At first, he was confused about Vince's meaning. However, it didn't take long as he realized what's his indicating. Thus, without hesitation, he kneeled his left knee on the ground and put Mika on her shoulder with a growl.

"Graaaaa…"

"W-Woah! Put me down, Bryan!" Mika demanded while kicking her feet.

"Forgive me, Mika, but we're leaving now!" Vince took the lead to apologized as he nodded his head to Bryan before he leads the way.

"No!!! I'm going to find Mich.e.l.le!"

BOOOM!!!

Another deafening explosion exploded out as the quaking voices of the monsters reverberated in the forest. It was followed by a whoos.h.i.+ng sound as a human figure pierced out of the cloud of smoke, arriving behind the escaping Mika's group.

Thud!

The human figure suddenly fell its knees on the ground. It's a black-haired man in an azure knight armor with a white-robe woman on his shoulder. It's Mich.e.l.le.

"Who would think that I would save a cute girl in my lifetime…" The man muttered under his breath while looking at Mich.e.l.le's round face.

Cough! Cough!

'd.a.m.n, it seems like I overestimated myself this time!' The man thought in helplessness as he brushed off the blood that streamed out of the corner of his lips.

"MICh.e.l.lE!!!" An ear-splitting yell rang out as the man raised his head with furrow brows. Looking in the distance, he saw a well-shaped woman in black-robe running towards his location. 'Ah! This girl's teammate!'

The man exclaimed in his mind as he realized that this girl is not alone. However, realization also hit him when he heard the screaming voices of the monsters behind him. 'Sh*t! It's not the right time to be dazed!'

Forcing himself to stood up, the man began to run with all the strength he could muster, Mich.e.l.le on his shoulder as he then shouted. "Don't come! Go, escape! Run to the other direction. I will follow you!"

Upon hearing the man's voice, Mika was stunned of a millisecond as she turned around and ran with full speed.

Whoos.h.!.+

Awoo! Graaa!

Furious voices of the monsters rang behind them.

Furrowing his brows, Kim s.h.i.+n saw the horde of goblins along with gray wolves as he questioned himself. 'What's happening here?'

The monsters were running toward his opposite direction, seemingly chasing someone with furious expressions. He doesn't have any sliver of idea on the situation.

Fwoos.h.!.+

Out of nowhere, a wooden arrow swiftly toward his direction which he reflexively deflect. It didn't stop there, few more arrows rain on him.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

After fending of the arrows, he saw that some of the monsters behind were sprinting toward his direction. They discovered him. Well, to be precise, the wolves discovered him. Since, their senses are keen compared to goblins.

Twenty or more pair of goblins and wolves are coming to him. He doesn't know what's happening but he knew that maybe something big is happening.

'Or did someone already discovered the Goblins lair?!' However, he immediately shook his head, clearing that thought. Since it would be impossible, it's too early to be discovered.

After shooking his head, he firmly gripped the hilt of his sword as he glared like dagger to the incoming monsters.

'This is enough experience points to level!' Kim s.h.i.+n grinned with that thought as he dashed straight.

After ten minutes of battler, or maybe ma.s.sacre, Kim s.h.i.+n eventually leveled up after killing all of them.

Phew~

As he dismantled the corpses of the monsters, he found different footprints on the ground. It wasn't a monster's footprints. It was Mika's group's footprints.

Frowning, he couldn't help but wonder who are the people that the horde of monsters chasing. 'Nevermind, I should quickly raise my level. I know that the boar fangs brotherhood won't stop until I die.'
