Su Lil’ Five answered rather emotionlessly. “She seemed familiar.”

“She? Who…was it Yan Qingsi?”

“She’s a celebrity. Perhaps you have seen her photos on the internet.”

The three of them chatted all the way to the hotel.

The car pulled over in front of the hotel main doors and Yue Tingfeng tossed the keys to the bellboy, having him park the car at the bas.e.m.e.nt carpark.

As the three were entering, they suddenly heard footsteps coming from behind. Mrs. Yue was the first to look around and saw a shadowy figure rus.h.i.+ng forward with a knife in hand. Under the moonlight, the reflection shown a cold, gloomy glint, rus.h.i.+ng directly towards Yan Qingsi.

Mrs. Yue was utter shocked and screamed at the top of her lungs. “Qingsi be careful…”

That shadowy figure rushed forth shouting. “Yan Qingsi, go to h.e.l.l!”

Yan Qingsi spun around and saw that it was too late to get out of the way. Yue Tingfeng’s facial expression instantly changed, stretching his hands out to pull her away.

Yan Qingsi’s body was suddenly forcefully pushed aside and fell over to the side. Mrs. Yue was directly in front of her, blocking the attacker’s path.

Chapter 538: Don’t Leave Me Alone, I’m Scared!

That shadowy figure has reached Mrs. Yue. Yan Qingsi could only watch helplessly as the cold gleam of the knife disappeared in an instant.

Yue Tingfeng’s arms and legs were cold. He held onto Mrs. Yue’s hand, trembling. He tried very hard to smile, but it did not come. He said: “Ma…don’t panic, don’t panic. Everything is going to be okay. It’s just a little blood, it’s okay, it’s okay…”

Mrs. Yue was in so much pain that she could not speak. She took the chance while she was still conscious to look over and see how Yan Qingsi was holding up.

Yue Tingfeng’s voice broke Yan Qingsi’s trance. She s.h.i.+vered, bent over gasping for air, then slowly stood up with a hand on her chest.

Yan Qingsi wanted to have a look at Mrs. Yue, but she was afraid. She was nervous…scared of looking at Mrs. Yue.

Yan Qingsi turned around to look at the a.s.sailant that was pinned to the ground, her gaze calmed down slowly while her face started to show a killing intent that grew stronger by the second.
