I believe in an alternate life. A parallel world. A place where you could do whatever you wanted. A wish fitting for a gamer.
I have lived many different lives. I fought, I socialized, I farmed, and I even saved the world. I had learned about all of them through games. Games were my teacher. Games were my story teller. They were drugs which injected beautiful stories inside my mind.
In reality, I was an isolated being in an age where I should have a family, children and a job. I unfit for society. Sudden depression kept me away from everything. I didn't want to remember every bad moment that happened in my life. So I ran away through games. That's why, games became my savior. A new world with a new life. Nonetheless, I was a man with a dim hope. Although I believed that an opportunity would come someday.
And the day has come.

A man was sitting on the floor, staring at a package lying in front of him. A box with 1 meter tall and 3 meters wide. He curiously began to open the package. There was a pod-looking bed inside, and a black helmet. Above where the head should lie, there was an attached monitor with keyboard. He pressed the power b.u.t.ton on the monitor, it switched on… Words slowly appeared on it, 'New Life' was flas.h.i.+ng. Then a registration page suddenly popped up. He filled the blank box with his information and clicked sign up b.u.t.ton.
After a few minutes, 'Registration Complete' appeared on the monitor. Then, he picked up a piece of paper and a pen on a table beside him. He stared at the white paper with empty eyes. Deeply in thought as to what he should write. Five minutes pa.s.sed, then suddenly he finally put the pen and the paper down on the table.
He sat on the pod picking up the helmet and putting it on his lap. He stared at the wall for a while thinking…
'This marks the end of my real life… I will never log out.'
He let out a deep sigh as he laid down inside the pod and put the helmet on.
