Nearly a year after Lorne pa.s.sed away, he opened his eyes to a world of shadows. Giants gathered around him exchanging words with one another. They spoke a language he was unfamiliar with. He felt the secure and warm embrace of a large female, his new mother no doubt.

This was Lorne's third time to be born but only the second time he could remember. The last time he spent ten thousand years in an egg and when he awoke he used his strength to crash through the egg. He met his new father with a right cross sending him flying into the next room.

This time, Lorne was very pa.s.sive. He imagined his current state is the typical circ.u.mstances of most newborns. Swaddled lying securely in their mother's arms as people stared and chattered about the baby. He was too tired to care too much about his new environment. He wasn't looking forward to growing up again. He was an adult after all, and he remembered how frustrating it was when he grew up as a dragon baby. Of course, his childhood and early adulthood lasted around fifty thousand years. Hopefully, things wouldn't take such a long time for his new life. It was already a good sign he wasn't born in an egg.

It took a few months for Lorne's new eyes to see more than shadows. He was able to focus his eyes and view his surroundings. His vision was a new experience for him. In the past, he had various types of abilities giving him a wide variety of spectrums of light he could see. He noticed he could see an aura around those he examined. It reminded him of his Wudi vision which could view energy.

One of the surprising things he learned was he was a baby elf. He discovered this because of all of the elves around him. He only learned a few elvish words so far. His mother looked to be in her twenties but she could have been two thousand years old, he didn't know how these elves aged or if they were immortals. His knowledge of his new world was very scarce.

Two years after being borne, Lorne was fluent in Elvish. He was always good with languages and he studied the new language very earnestly. His mother and father, Endra daughter of Kufta the Bright and Kaiza son of Trespin the Wind Howler, were convinced their son was a genius. They even had Lorne tested and it was concluded he was a genius of extreme standing.

Lorne now went by a new Elvin name, Boval son of Kufta. He decided he would go by this name now, he had the same name for thousands of years. He liked the sound of Boval. In Elvish, it meant 'rest.' It was given to him on account of his intelligence. The Elves believed that individuals of high intelligence could bring peace and rest because of their knowledge.

Boval son of Kufta was personally taught by one of the elders in their village. Elder Itrean of the HollowTree Mountain was eight thousand and three hundred years old. He taught Boval for half the day from the morning until lunch. After lunch, Boval's mother, Endra, would take him into the forest to play and connect with nature.

Boval, formerly Lorne, enjoyed his new world a great deal. He never felt as close to nature as he did now. The Elves were a race of geniuses and were also peace-loving. For them, there was nothing better than quietly gazing at the beautiful world around them. Boval found the simple but deep life of an elf to his liking. It appealed to his scholarly side. Of course, Boval also came to this world to explore. Once he grew up he would explore, but for now, he decided to enjoy life as it is.

One of the things Boval discovered soon after his birth as he was unable to connect with his Samsara Pod. He could feel the directions of Tower and B'wiri's new incarnations. Tower was somewhere far to the west; while B'wiri was somewhere south-east.

Other than feeling these locations he couldn't detect the Samsara Pod at all. It was like it didn't even exist. He didn't understand why the Samsara Pod was always available for him to rely on. Now, he felt much more alone and with one less safety net. Maybe it had something to do with the suppression he felt in his new world.

When he lived in Big Ole Wall Town, his abilities were suppressed to the point where his immortal life energies could only sustain him for a few hundred years and his other abilities weren't much greater than a very strong mortal. He could barely hover. Of course, the suppression took time, for his first sixty years he was just as strong as he ever was, but then he noticed his power was reducing at an alarming rate. He left Big Ole Wall Town and his powers began to return slowly.

His current situation was completely different. When he was in Big Ole Wall Town he could at least use some of his techniques to perform amazing feats but none of those skills worked. It seemed as if this new world was more and more mysterious.

Three more years flew by and Boval just turned five. He was officially going to begin learning with other elf children in school. He was curious about what elf school would be like. He was still learning with Elder Itrean, but now he would also experience the communal school experience. Even though he already mastered the subject to be mastered, his family and teacher wanted him to attend school to learn social skills. They were worried Boval spent so much time with adults and old people he would never learn how to interact with people around his age.

Thinking about the potentially very boring experience, Boval started to pout silently. This was very unusual behavior for an adult but completely understandable for a child. Boval learned that even though he had a very old soul; his developing young body's growth and age affected him emotionally. It made him impulsive, short-sighted, and silly. Sometimes he enjoyed these effects while at other times he found them annoying.

As Boval sat quietly an intense pain in his head interrupted his thoughts.

"Owwww!" he suddenly yelled. His parents turned to look at him and noticed blood dripping from his nose.
