"Your Test is finished, young man!"
-To exhausted to even reply to him, Rin just lied there and waited to hear his results.
-The pillar that he was supposed to damage was still standing where it did before, and its s.h.i.+ne was the same. There were no cracks or any signs of it being cracked, but what there was, is a small cut in the shape of an X, barely visible and if you didn't look closely you wouldn't even see it.
-Even at the distance that they were standing at, both Furui and Matthew noticed the cut and knew that it was made by Rin's blade.
"Congratulations, you pa.s.sed!"
-A sigh of relief, Rin used all the strength he coud muster and turned on his back and put his hand in the air while screaming at the top of his lungs.
"h.e.l.l yeah!"
-He was the happiest person in the world at this point, the fact that he managed to hold on and pull off an attack while being under that sort of pressure was a big achievement. Unlike before when he was Intimidated With Vladimir's aura and ran away leaving Alexander to fend for himself.
I did it, I was finally able to fight back and not run, I finally did it!
-Moving one step at a time, Rin had managed to stand on top of one of the many things he regretted while in the OverWorld, the fear of being Overwhelmed by someone stronger than then himself and losing all will to fight and running away for your life.
"That was h.e.l.l, but I did it!"
"I congratulate you on a test well done, Your name is Rin, is that correct?"
-Furui Chie and Matthew came to Rin and congratulated him, the tests he had to do were a hundred times harder them what he was supposed to do originally. So, of course, a congratulation was in order from those two.
"Y-yes, sir!"
-when they got in front of him, Rin used all his strength he coud and stood up on his feet. While shaking their hands as a sign of introduction.
"I hope you can forgive us for meddling with you like we did, during your entrance exam?"
"I a.s.sume you had your reasons, so there is nothing I can complain about seeing as it helped me as well."
"Hahaha, aren't you a fun fellow, I am Furui Chie, and this is Matthew, he is one of the teachers in the school, it's been a pleasure meeting you."
"M-Mine as well sir!"
"You want to join the Archeological part of the Magician's a.s.sociation, right?"
"That's correct!"
"Well then, good luck in school!"
"Furui Sir, We haven't done the Ranking yet!"-Said, Matthew.
"Uh! You're right, I'm sorry Rin my boy, at the age I'm at, some things just pa.s.s by my mind, one minute they're there and the other they're gone."
-Matthew took out a small stone from his pocket, no bigger than his palm. the Stone was completely white, with no signs of any other color, or even edges it was in a shape of a cristal and possessed the name, Cristal Shaman.
"What's that?"
"This is the Cristal Shaman, an artifact which we use to determine the strength of the Magicians."
"So, how does it determine my rank!"
Even tho I know I'm a C rank, thank's to the Underground tournament. but I still don't know how many ranks there are and which is how powerful.
"That's actually pretty easy, You take some of your blood on your hand, and grip the stone with that bloodied hand. The darker the color the lower your rank is, the brighter the color the higher the rank."
"Alright... but how exactly does it determine my rank..."
"The stone itself doesn't determine your rank, it only shows us how strong your aura is. We a.s.sign the ranks by seeing the brightness."
"That stone is pretty useful for those who need it, become stronger and you won't need to have that stone to see how strong your opponents are, you'll be able to tell with just one glance!"-Said Furui to Rin.
"But, until you become that strong let's use the stone."
-Rin bit into his finger a little bit and mushed the blood onto the palm of his hand, after which placed the Cristal shaman into his hand and gripped it tightly to see what his Rank will be.
"Now, Ranks go from weakest to strongest. E, D, C, B, A and S, those stronger than that are a seriously rare few, for now, let's stick to your rank, which is..."
-While Matthew was explaining to him the Cristal Shaman glow a what was nether to bright nor too dark, it was just in the middle. A perfect combination of dark and bright.
"C, Impressive!"
"Impressive, how so?"
"It's not that often that we have kids who are that powerful but especially skilled at such a young age. There are a lot of kids with powerful and dangerous abilities out there that coud cause millions of death easily, but their power is ranked at E or D becouse they don't know how to use it!"
That is definitely true, I've seen a lot of abilities that coud be a danger to society in the UnderWorld and the tournament. Hood, for example, If he had better mastered his ability I wouldn't have been a problem for him, Even if I say so I haven't mastered Little star either.
"Then I'm a rare specimen?"
"Unfortunately, not that rare at the academy!"
"I see..."
"If that was all, we shall take our leave, I have some business to take care of later. The detail of your inrolment will be sent by letter in a few days, so I'll see you at school, my boy!"
"Goodbye, sir! and Sir Matthew as well!"
"Ah, Yeah, See ya around Kid!"
-And so, they left just as fast as they arrived. Matthew picked up the Liltanium pillar by Furui's order and carried it outside as they left the school. Just a piece of Liltanium was already hard to find, and to be in the possession of such a big amount was something than only those with serious connections coud have.
"Ah!!! Good job, congratulations Rin!"
"Eh! Give me some s.p.a.ce mom, you're gonna squeeze me to death!"
-Overjoyed by his acceptance, Serah feared the worst becouse she saw how he acted before the exam, his body was trembling and shaking, he said himself he was overwhelmed by Furui's power so seeing him overcome it and fight back was impressive and made her happy.
"I'm just happy, you're getting closer to your goal, and that's the most important thing!"
"Thank you, mom, but now isn't the time for that. For now, let's focus on the gymnasium that I destroyed."
"Yeah... That might be a problem."
-And while they were talking with the teachers and apologized for the damage caused, the two people who left a little while ago had their own little conversation going on.
-While driving in a black car, Furui and Matthew talked about the events that occurred at the entrance exam.
"Furui, I don't understand! What was the reason behind doing all of that?"
"Reason, huh?"
"Did you not want to enroll him, or did you just want to play around a little?"
"You know that I don't play around with people Matthew!"
"Of course I know, I was messing with you."
"But your first guess was right, I Didn't want him to join the School!"
"What! So all of that was!"
"Yes, after I arrived in the cla.s.sroom, he just started writing the test. I noticed it then, he was smart and a brilliant kid, strong as well. That's why I decided to change the exam!"
"I tried intimidating him at first, but he got out of it in the span of fewer than ten minutes, so then I decided to crush him with our auras and intimidate him to the point where he had no choice but to fall to the ground and fail. but he overcame that as well, so my plan was ruined."
"I understand, but why?"
"Why, becouse he coud have had a good future if he didn't pa.s.s the entrance exam! You know just as well as I do, This school is basically a military base, meant for training new recruits, disguised as a school. Did you know that more than one thousand Magicians died in the last year!"
"I know they died, but not the amount."
"Human's are beautiful creatures. We feel all sorts of emotions and can do whatever we set our minds to... so it pains me to hear that every day, they are killing each other like animals. If I have a choice, of course, I would save his life instead of sending him to death's door!"
"But sir wasn't the goal of the Magician's to stop the killing, and protect the weak. When you asked me to join the Magician's high board of teachers you said that our goal is to protect humanity, right?"
"You're not listening to me, everything you said was correct but it's not what I meant!"
"Then what did you meen, just tell me you old fart!"
"...What I seek is peace. While I was on my journey around the world I saw what true piece looks like, so how am I suppose to help someone who's heading to their death. For G.o.d's sake, we're making soldiers for war, not Piece. I can't do anything if they are expected at the beginning by Leonard, but in situation like these, I can do something!"
"...Of course, I know that as well, in this new era we now live in, I don't know if there will ever be peace."
"...There will be, there is always a way. And if I can, I will guide us towards that piece my self!"
"Then... Why didn't you use all of your aura on Rin, when we were suppose to use all of our aura to make him unable to perform the exam. Why did you hold back?"

"huh!"-Furui grinned lightly, before answering Matthew.
"I was surprised after he came in thew those doors, to be honest, I didn't think he coud ever overcome even that amount of my aura, especially on his level of power. So when he did, I felt something I thought had died inside of me long ago. that strive to advance and overcome your fears, that newly discovered inner strength. That's when I thought, Wouldn't it be nice, having someone who coud help me in achieving my dream. And I decided to give it a shot, and when he overcame both of our aura's I knew I was right."
"So you want him as your disciple?"
"To h.e.l.l, No! He needs to get stronger on his own, I coud see he has a striving motive so I can't interfere. That and I had a disciple long ago, but it didn't work out with him, so I gave up on teaching!"
"That's news to me!"
"Mah! not that important, what is important now is that we get the result of the exam to Leonard so that he can send him all the recovery information he needs!"
"Your right, I got couth up in our conversation and I almost forgot, I'll send it right away."
-The truth about the exam as well as Furui puts everything Rin thought on its head, the little comparison he made earlier between them was completely wrong. If we're to compare it again, and If Furui Chie was to use all of his strength, The one drop of water that represented Rin, Furui would be the entire Earth's ocean in comparison!
