When he realizated that his helper wasn't able to sing in tune to the music, this made her appear more attractive to him. Duan Chengyu took out his phone and began recording her singing and dancing with her back to him. Meanwhile, Liu Rachael was at the marble counter on the other side of the kitchen, chopping carrots and other green vegetable to be used for dinner. As she was chopping the carrots, her finger mistakenly got cut by the knife in her hand. The bright red fluid began dripping on the cutting board and carrots, as she yelped in pain from the slit to her skin.

"Haaa!"

Without thinking, Duan Chengyu ran to where Liu Racheal was, forgetting that he had been secretly watching her from the kitchen's entrance.

"Are you okay?! Let me see!"

Not knowing that her boss or anyone for that matter was at home frightened Liu Rachael at first, as she stared at Duan Chengyu in shock. It took a few seconds to gather herself together and turn off the music. Using her momentary distraction, Duan Chengyu tucked his phone in the pocket of his pants.

"Ch..airman Duan?"

"Show me your hand!"

He didn't mean to shout at her, but knowing that she was hurt made the usually calm Chairman very rattled. Liu Rachael reluctantly held the index finger of her right hand for him to see. Already, blood was sipping from the opened skin. Duan Chengyu latched onto the hand she held up, placing them in his mouth and sucking on it with his tongue. That seemed to temporarily distract Liu Rachael from the throbbing pain.
