While all this was happening, w.a.n.g Ming was still oblivious sitting in the ambulance with his customers. Not knowing what had transpired and lucky that, the special person was sitting in the ambulance with him. Which let him escape, though if w.a.n.g Ming had stayed no one could be sure of who would suffer defeat. Not even w.a.n.g Ming, since he still didn't know the limits of his powers.

On the way to the hospital, w.a.n.g Ming tried to check up on his customers to see if they were doing fine. Though before he could, the paramedics already started the questions, so he just sat down listening to their diagnosis.

None of them were in a critical condition, and their diagnosis is that someone had poisoned his customers, like w.a.n.g Ming had thought. It had to be something to do with the meat and the suspicious needle holes. The holes were there when he took the meat, so his best bet was to ask Weng Ping about this. He didn't believe that Weng Ping had anything to do with this, but Weng Ping would be his biggest lead.

There were only three possibilities. The first possibility was that Weng Ping was behind this and wanted to screw him over. The second is someone sneaked into either Weng Ping's shop and poisoned the meat and the third that Weng Ping's source did something.

Though the last one wasn't too plausible, it should be either the first or second possibility. Though thinking for a while, w.a.n.g Ming thought of one person, Weng Ting. Maybe it had something to do with him, did Weng Ping screw with him because of Weng Ting? Or did Weng Ting want to take revenge, so he coerced his uncle or sneaked into the shop? Well, he would find out after finis.h.i.+ng up the business at the hospital. The most important thing now is to take care of the victims.

Arriving at the hospital, the ambulance opened up, and the paramedics started to unload people from the ambulance. Seeing this nurses started running out of the hospital to help the paramedics, w.a.n.g Ming also helped the paramedics. He then tried to carry Zhu Hang, but his father Zhu Hong stopped him. Zhu Hong then took his son in his arms and carried him by himself.

Following the nurses, w.a.n.g Ming felt relieved that they placed all his poisoned customers in the same room. This would make it easier for him to get the diagnosis from the doctor and for w.a.n.g Ming to explain himself to their families. Seeing the doctors finally arrive, w.a.n.g Ming started to grow nervous. If there was only a weak poison, then it wouldn't be too bad. But if this was a slow acting but lethal poison, then w.a.n.g Ming's reputation and freedom would most likely be gone forever.

Seeing the doctor examining one after another not saying anything made w.a.n.g Ming even more nervous. The only expression the doctor had on his face was a frown. Finally, examining the last person, he then turned towards w.a.n.g Ming's side, where Zhu Hong and his wife also stood. No other family members had come yet, but were probably on their way.

"Who are the family members of these patients? The people who are not please go outside, and wait for visit times."

Hearing what he said, Zhu Hang's parents and w.a.n.g Ming instantly replied.

"We are the little boy's parents!"

"I'm not a family member, but they got ill after eating in my restaurant. I really need and want to hear about their condition to see if they're fine. And also investigate what went wrong."

w.a.n.g Ming he didn't have any reason or authority to hear about his customer's situation in the doctor's eyes. But since he asked so sincerely, he sighed and said for w.a.n.g Ming to stay. He then told them what he had found.

"We have to do a closer examination to know for sure. But we are 99% sure that this is a case of Aconitum napellus poisoning. Aconitum napellus is normally called wolfsbane. Wolfsbane isn't a herb used in cooking at all, so we don't understand how they all have contracted this poison. Wolfsbane is known throughout China as a faux herb known to cure muscle pain and also that it's poisonous."

Taking a deep breath, the doctor followed up by saying.

"They got many of the symptoms a.s.sociated with Wolfsbane poisoning like. Nausea, slowed heartbeat, numbness, dizziness, and weakness. There are some other symptoms, but these are the main ones. We checked on them and they do have a stable heartbeat and it doesn't seem much weaker than normal. So we think only ingested a small dose of it, meaning they will be ok after a while. But we prefer if they stay here 1 day so we can do a full checkup."

Finished talking, the doctor looked at w.a.n.g Ming and Zhu Hang's parents to see if they had understood what he had said. Seeing them nodding, he made his way out of the room. But before he could run off, w.a.n.g Ming stopped him at the hallway.

w.a.n.g Ming didn't have much knowledge about poisonous herbs, he only knew that Wolfsbane is poisonous and shouldn't be consumed but nothing else.

"Sorry for wasting your time doctor, but need to ask a question."

Before the doctor could respond, w.a.n.g Ming started asking. Since this was an important question for him, he needed to know the answer.

"How do you poison someone with the wolfbane? Do you have to ingest it directly or its seeds? Or can you make it to a liquid formula and potentially inject it into something?"

Thinking for a bit, the doctor then replied w.a.n.g Ming. The answer made w.a.n.g Ming even more restless.

"Ah, this is easy. The only thing you need to do is cook the wolfbane. This is how many people extract a lot of the poison so they can consume it. So you would only need to inject the water into the thing you want to poison. I guess you want to find out what happened at your restaurant."

After thanking the doctor, w.a.n.g Ming got to thinking again while walking around. Hearing his answer, w.a.n.g Ming was now sure that the poisoning had happened at Weng Ping's store. Since there was no way for Weng Ping's source to know of who would buy the meat for Weng Ping. So unless they poisoned a large amount of meat for fun and didn't want to frame w.a.n.g Ming then it would make sense.

But looking around the hospital, w.a.n.g Ming couldn't see any other patients that had been poisoned by consuming wolfbane. He had also asked hospital staff if they knew of any other hospital, who had gotten patients with the same poisoning. But all the answers was no. Which meant that someone had to have targeted Weng Ping's shop or w.a.n.g Ming's.

There was no way for him to find out of the answer now, so w.a.n.g Ming could only wait to finish at the hospital first. Before going to Weng Ping's shop.

Making his way back towards the room, where Zhu Hang and the others were. He could hear a lot of loud noises inside. Seems like the family members had arrived, and it didn't seem like they were happy. Sighing then pumping his chest up, w.a.n.g Ming then walked in confidently. He couldn't appear weak here if he did, then they would skin him alive.
