Taking out the phone, w.a.n.g Ming noticed that his whole arm were trembling. He didn't understand how Qiao Meng could be as calm as she were in this situation. Calling the police emergency number, w.a.n.g Ming got a fast reply. After telling them to send an ambulance to the shop, the police officer on the other side wanted w.a.n.g Ming to tell him what w.a.n.g Ming was seeing.

w.a.n.g Ming wanted to give this job to Qiao Meng, but she was busy looking around for evidence the perpetrators may have left behind. Giving the job to examine the body to him.

What w.a.n.g Ming saw grossed him out and made him uncomfortable in so many ways. Walking closer to the body, he finally recognized the person hanging from the ceiling. That person was Weng Ting, his body was hanging on a meat hook which is usually used to hold up pig or cow carca.s.ses, which had been lodged right into his shoulder. Walking closer w.a.n.g Ming could hear faint breathing from Weng Ting.

Seeing Weng Ting was still alive w.a.n.g Ming urged the policeman to send an ambulance. Which caught Qiao Meng's attention, so she started to examine Weng Ting together. w.a.n.g Ming then wanted to lift Weng Ting's body off the meat hook to release him from the pain. But stopped when Qiao Meng started to shout and scold him for being reckless. There was no bleeding coming from the wound in Weng Ting's shoulder, which meant that the meat hook were stopping the bleeding. If w.a.n.g Ming had pulled the hook out from Weng Ting's body then he would most likely had bled out in only 5 minutes since the wound is large.

w.a.n.g Ming then kept examining Weng Ting's body while also telling the police officer on the line what he saw.

Looking at Weng Ting's body and its condition, it seemed like they had tortured him for at least a day could even be more. Pulling up Weng Ting's t-s.h.i.+rt w.a.n.g Ming could see different sizes of knife cuts on his stomach, all the cuts looked different from each other, which suggested to w.a.n.g Ming that the people who tortured Weng Ting had used different kinds of knives. The knife wounds on Weng Ting's body reminded w.a.n.g Ming of how some knife sellers would promote their knives, by using the knives to cut into a piece of meat showing them how sharp the knife was.

The worst part though was looking at the cuts w.a.n.g Ming could see a red color which didn't seem like blood. Smelling a familiar smell from it, w.a.n.g Ming instantly understood what it was which is chili. The people who had tortured Weng Ting had used chili oil, chili, and salt it looked like and smeared it over all the cuts they had applied on Weng Ting's body. To further the pain and discomfort, w.a.n.g Ming didn't understand how a person could be this evil.

While examining the wounds, w.a.n.g Ming also kept checking on Weng Ting's condition. Weng Ting were unconscious but were still breathing which eased him, but it kept growing weaker and weaker. w.a.n.g Ming prayed for the ambulance to come soon, even though Weng Ting had tried to mess with him last time. It didn't sit right with w.a.n.g Ming to just see him die like this.

Examining further w.a.n.g Ming saw bruises all over Weng Ting's arms and legs some spots had a deep purple color, which meant that they were most likely broken. They had beat him so hard, that his skin tissue were breaking apart leaving dry and cracked skin behind. But the worst part was even yet to come, as w.a.n.g Ming looked at Weng Ting's feet the sight of it made him nauseous.

Weng Ting's feet were b.l.o.o.d.y. At first w.a.n.g Ming thought that it was because of the cuts on his body that had bled downwards. But realized now that the people who had tortured Weng Ting had pulled out all of Weng Ting's toenails and then used glue to glue on top of the wound and also his toes together.

This made it so Weng Ting wouldn't bleed out but was a painful way to do it. Thinking about the pain Weng Ting would experience when the doctor would remove the glue, w.a.n.g Ming shuddered and hoped for Weng Ting that they would knock him out first.

After looking at Weng Ting's feet, w.a.n.g Ming started to feel uncomfortable. He had seen many dead things in his life which chef hadn't. He had made food with things looking hideous but seeing a human being treated like this was just unbearable.

Not wanting to do this anymore w.a.n.g Ming told the police officer to hurry then disconnected the call.

Regrouping with Qiao Meng, w.a.n.g Ming was shocked to hear that she had found nothing out of the ordinary.

"I've searched the whole place, but there's nothing here. These guys are definitely pros. Though do you remember the letter you found? It said something with leaving behind instructions, which means something has to be here. And the only place I haven't looked is on Weng Ting's body."

Hearing Qiao Meng mentioning Weng Ting's body, w.a.n.g Ming unconsciously jerked his body. Since he didn't want to go close to Weng Ting's body yet.

Seeing w.a.n.g Ming's reaction, Qiao Meng remembered that w.a.n.g Ming is only a normal person, and not a police officer.

"I'm sorry w.a.n.g Ming. I forgot you are only a normal person. Not a police officer. If you want to, you can stay here while I check out the body."

Walking up to Weng Ting, Qiao Meng also heard that Weng Ting was still alive. Which meant that she had to be careful not to hurt him anymore than he was. Examining the body, Qiao Meng found nothing different from w.a.n.g Ming, even though she was more thorough. But looking at Weng Ting's feet, she found something odd. Where was his shoes? Looking around she hadn't found them anywhere, it made little sense for the perpetrators to take the shoes with them either. Which had to mean that his feet were the answer?

Crouching down to look underneath Weng Ting's feet, Qiao Meng finally found what she had been looking for. There were some words which had been carved directly on Weng Ting's left foot, probably by a box cutter. Reading the words it said Fong storage 6 PM.

Seeing the name Fong storage, Qiao Meng recognized where the place was instantly. Since Fong storage 20 years ago was the biggest warehouse which stored wine in FenZhong city. But after a fire which killed over 20 persons, including the owner, no one bothered to take over after leaving it empty ever since.

Looking at the clock Qiao Meng saw that it was already 5.20 pm, which was close till meeting time. Wanting to get there before the meeting time to bust and catch the perpetrators. Qiao Meng then ran as fast as she could out of the shop and towards the parking. But before she did, she hurriedly explained to w.a.n.g Ming.

"w.a.n.g Ming, since you aren't a police officer, it's better for you to stay here. I have to go now, to catch the perpetrators, the meeting is 6 o'clock at Fong storage. And if I don't go now, then the other police officers coming will take over the case. This is my chance of promotion thank you and goodbye!"

Hearing what she said, w.a.n.g Ming didn't know what to do. He wanted to follow Qiao Meng, since he felt worried about her. But couldn't leave until the police arrived, he also felt intimidated by everything which had happened. Especially after seeing what they had done with Weng Ting, w.a.n.g Ming didn't want it to happen to him. But if they could do this to a man like Weng Ting, what would they do to Qiao Meng if she got caught? w.a.n.g Ming didn't think slavery and s.e.xual violation were out of the question.

Thinking about this, w.a.n.g Ming felt his heart and body boil with uneasiness. Every second he waited now felt like hours and minutes like days. Finally, after 5 minutes, both the police car and the ambulance arrived at the restaurant. Rus.h.i.+ng to tell the police officers what had happened, w.a.n.g Ming then hurriedly ran out of the market to find a taxi. The police officers didn't want to let him leave and wanted to take a statement, but seeing him like a crazy dog they decided to take the statement another time, and let him go after taking his phone number.

Usually at these times, there were always many people fighting for a taxi. But today w.a.n.g Ming had great luck as just when he got out of the market. There was a vacant taxi which stopped right in front of him asking if he needed a ride. Hurriedly telling the taxi driver the address and getting in the car, w.a.n.g Ming felt his mind and body starting to get stressed out.

Along the way to Fong warehouse, w.a.n.g Ming didn't see Qiao Meng's police car, which made him even more worried. w.a.n.g Ming also looked around for any suspicious persons on the way but didn't see any. Which made him believe that the people Qiao Meng went to ambush were already there from the start.

Finally arriving at Fong Warehouse, w.a.n.g Ming stepped out of the car, just to be startled by a scream and a bat coming towards his face.
