The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 124 - 124 Hubby Meets Rong'er (Part 3)

October opened her eyes. At first, it was blurry. She blinked her eyes a few times until it was much clearer. She stared at their ceiling for a moment...wait! How did she get in their bed?

Immediately sitting up, October looked around and realized that she really was in the bed she shared with Lexus. 

Did he carry her to here? Was she heavy? Why did he not wake her up that they have already arrived at home?

October then inhaled a sharp breath as she remembered that her mother-in-law was currently staying in this mansion. She then let out a groan and covered her face with both hands in embarra.s.sment. She just let her mother-in-law saw her sleeping like a log and had even let her son carry her to their room. She felt like she does not want to get out of this room for she still does not know what face she will show her mother-in-law. 

It was just so embarra.s.sing! That Lexus! He's clearly making fun of her again! Why does he not spare her from such humiliating jokes in front of his mother?

October looked down on herself and heaved a sigh of relief when she saw that she was still in her office clothes. It turned out that Lexus was still somewhat sensible enough to not took the liberty of changing her clothes. If he did, then she really does not know how to face him. But then again, October convinced herself that she will most probably wake up if that really did happen. 

Out of the blue, a growling sound was heard in the silent room at the same time that the bedroom door was sw.a.n.g open. Right after that, a chuckle was heard by the door.

October's eyes darted toward the person who just entered the room while touching her belly. Great! Just great! How can her tummy just had to let out a hungry growl at this time. Her face was tinged with a pink color as she uncomfortably looked at the man standing by the door, looking at her with clear amus.e.m.e.nt written on his face. With his hands shoved in the pockets of his dress pants, he slowly walked toward October. 

"I thought that I'll have to wake you up to have dinner downstairs. Turns out..." Lexus started as his smile grew bigger and his eyes were filled with laughter while looking at the embarra.s.sed-looking face of October, "...your  alarm clock  sounded just in time and woke you up."

October's lips twitched at this. She then sent a cold glare at Lexus as her lips pursed in a thin line. She was angry at Lexus to have pointed that out; however, this was more of frustration and embarra.s.sment

Having to notice the growing anger from his wife, he dryly coughed to hide his laughter and said, "Here, let me help you. Mother is already waiting for us in the dining hall." 

Seeing Lexus' hand stretched out for her, October chose to ignore it and climbed out of the bed herself and walked pa.s.sed Lexus without looking up. Her embarra.s.sing moments had increased tremendously ever since she was with Lexus. These moments were more than she had ever experienced in her twenty plus years of existence. 

Yes, October realized that she was acting petty. But she can't stop herself from doing so! Her emotions that were nonexistent before came crus.h.i.+ng down on her now, surging all over her to the point of making her drown in it. Her usually calm and indifferent temperament had even became thin as she would flare up with anger. 

Lately, she was becoming more and more emotional. She really does not know what was really happening to her anymore. It was scary. She does not know her anymore. What she was sure about was that she was never someone who would be so petty to every little things and could not control her emotions. Wait...but then again, did she ever had any emotions before she met Lexus? Maybe there was, but it was so miniscule of an existence that it was so easy to control.

While she was mulling over this, she found herself get yanked back making her gasp in surprise. And then her back slammed on a hard chest that she knew all too well. After that, she was instantly wrapped securely and firmly in an embraced, unabling her to move at all. 

His head then knocked on her head and she heard him sigh, letting out a hot breath that tingled her bare neck and crawled toward her heart. October can feel her heart beating so fast in her chest. That was not all, for she can feel Lexus' heartbeat on her back, it was so loud as if to accompany her own heartbeat.

"I'm sorry." Lexus said softly in his deep and gruff voice. 

October shook her head. "No, I'm sorry. I overreacted."

While the two were in each other's arms, they heard a clicking of a tongue up ahead. They both turnee and saw Mother Song with her arms crossee over chest while looking at them with a playful smile on her pretty face.

"Tch, tch, tch. You two would really go lovey-dovey whenever you were given any opportunity." Mother Song said as if she was irritated and she gave Lexus a knowing look. She was again shown a different side of her son. So her son was the clingy type.

"Mother, if you don't want to look, then don't. Or if you're jealous, go back to City A and find father." Lexus rolled his eyes as he ruthlessly said this to his mother. He gently pulled October's hand and went the dining hall. 

October frowned at Lexus' words for it was like it was full of thorns. He had such charming parents, yet he was treating them like this. She turned to her mother-in-law and wanted to apologize, yet stopped when Mother Song opened her mouth.

"Yeah, I could do that. Well, we've done a lot of things and have been lovey-dovey since we've been together so I'm not envious of you. In fact, you guys just started, while I am more experienced in this. Well, do you want to tell you all about the things we did since you were not able to see it?" Mother Song's smile was so wide as she teased her son. Who said she does not have a sharp tongue? Hers are more sharp and piercing. After that, she turned to October who was silent this whole time, "How about you, dear? Do you want to know my and Wei's love story? Hmm?" 

Lexus' face was black as coal as his grip tightened while holding October's delicate hand. "No need. You don't have to taint her mind."

Mother Song sneered at her son's comment and rolled her eyes. She turned on her heels and went to the dining hall. "Don't worry, my daughter-in-law. I will tell you all about it when this stupid son of mine is not here to interfere with us. Come, let's eat."

After dinner, the three of them were lounging on the living room, watching tv. 

Mother Song, being a former international model, watched a fas.h.i.+on tv show which October and Lexus did not any say to it. The both of them silently watched it while snuggling on the couch, with October leaning on Lexus. She felt relaxed and comfortable. 

After thoughtfully thinking in silence, she turned to look at Lexus looking as handsome as ever, making October mesmerized for a moment.

"Hubby, I have something to say to you. Promise me you won't get angry." October startee as she used one of her killer cards, the "hubby" card.

"Okay, I won't. I promise." Lexus' elegant brow raised as he looked at October's gem-like eyes. He felt like she was up to something yet still complied with a smirk on his face, however, the next words he heard from October made his smile to freeze instantly.

"I'll go fetch Ma Rong early tomorrow morning." October said as she went straight to the point. Wasting words were not her style and so bluntly said this. She then looked at Lexus' face and saw it flash. She can even vaguely see his smile turning stiff and rigid.

The next morning, a black stopped in front of the Song Mansion. A man in a very fas.h.i.+onable style got out of the car and stood languidly, with his long and silky hair tied in a simple ponytail and a broad smile hanging on his lips. 

Without waiting much, a young and emotionless women came into view as she slowly made her way toward him. Instantly, his smile broadened even more at the sight of her. He then spread his arms, ready to hug the woman, and went to meet her, "Berry, I missed you so much."

However, before he could even touch a single hair of October, a big hand immediately covered Ma Rong's face and use this as leverage to push Ma Rong away. 

"Ow! My nose. b.a.s.t.a.r.d, how dare yo-"

"Don't touch my woman." Lexus growled in a dark glint flas.h.i.+ng across his eyes as he held October tightly in his chest.
