The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 136 - 136 Zoom! Flap!

That night, Lexus dried October's hair with the hair blower, which October suggested when she saw him frowning while drying her hair. She found it pitiful yet funny and cute. After her hair was done, she then pushed Lexus down to sit on the edge of the chair and dried his hair in return. 

The two found themselves at peace. They were both quiet as they enjoyed the company of the other, their hearts warm and filled to the brim as they hoped that things would always be this peaceful and fulfilling.

Nothing out of the ordinary happened after that time and came Friday, the day in which October had to stand her ground and see who are those people who had given her that kind of report that was full of sh*t. It was even to the extent that it was making her eyes sore. 

"Good morning, a.s.sistant Director Park." The man in his mid-twenties greeted with great confidence as he give an emphasis on the word "a.s.sistant" while giving October a look. He had a perfect smile on his face accompanied with his gentle eyes. However, October can clearly see that there was some arrogance hidden beneath that gentle facade he was wearing. "I am the Team Leader, Su Ki."

October raised an eyebrow. She looked at the Su Ki who had his back straight like a rod, looking poised and full of conviction. The look that she was receiving from Su Ki was something she could completely ignore. As someone who had dealt with a lot of people from different backgrounds and different personalities, someone like Su Ki with his pitiful ego does not bother her at all. She then looked around the other four members of the group sitting around the table, two on each side of their team leader. 

She gave them a hard look but all of them did not give a glance even for just a second. This was something she had already expected. Still, for them to forward such work to her and had even had the audacity of attending this meeting shows that they were either forced to be here or they were just too full of themselves that they could deceive her. 

Still, October looked calm and cool. Her face was completely blank and did not show any emotions on her face. There was no ripple in her eyes. She turned her attention back on Su Ki and nodded her head to give him the signal that he may start.

There was a binded papers in front of her, still crisp and fresh and does not have any creases anywhere. It was clear for all to see that this was new. However, October did not even spare it a single glance right from the moment that it was placed in front of her by one of the team memebers. 

October looked at the smiling Su Ki "reporting" on what they did with their survey, how did they come up with the approach on their target market and the like. He was talking and talking that October found it hard to keep herself awake. She leaned her back on her executive chair with one of her hand supporting her chin. She looked at the team leader with a bored look on her face.

When Yun Xixi saw this, she was quite surprised that she can clearly understand what was written on her boss' face when she usually don't in the past. Does that mean that she had already grown accustomed to her boss' facial expressions that just from the slightest, even the tiniest bit, of change in her face, she can fully grasp what her boss was thinking? 

Yun Xixi was feeling hyped at this thought. She then turned her attention on the jerk-faced guy in front going by the name of "Su Ki." The moment she laid her eyes on this overconfident guy, she had already disliked him. It was as if he was regarding others as her subordinates and that he some hot shot with good looks with a great mind to boost. 

Ha! How laughable! a.s.sistant Yu is even more good looking than you and he is more capable than you, you jerk! What's more, he is a true gentleman.

Yun Xixi did not notice that she was starting to sing praises of a.s.sistant Yu in her mind. Right now, she thought that there was nothing wrong with what she was thinking. All she knew as that, there was no one that could compare to a.s.sistant Yu...at least that was what she thought.

Su Ki still had his smile on his face; however, it was starting to droop at little as he could not help himself from getting angry. He noticed at first that a.s.sistant Director Park did not even spare to give the papers a galnce in front of her; but now, she was looking as if she was lacking in sleep. He even notice the time when her head slipped off her hand. It was so irritating that the coner of his lips twitch in annoyance. 

The insides of Su Ki was boiling with anger. He was a man with full of aspiration and confidence. Also, he was confident with delivering a report. And now, he just experienced this kind of behavior during his reporting. This was totally unprecendented! This was unforgiveable. 

Thud.

Everyone flinched awake and turned to look at the bounded papers thrown harshly on the table and then to the person who did it. There eyes were wide in shock that were soon mixed with unease and worry. 

Su Ki squared his jaw as his face contorted in anger. His eyes turned darker and harsher as he glared at October, "a.s.sistant Director Park, do you find this report uninteresting and that you don't get what I am saying? Well, considering that you are in that position, you must be quite capable. Or is it that you gained that position through underhanded means? Perhaps because of your family background? Whatever it is, feel free to ask me anything that you wanted to know. I will answer all of your questions. I don't even mind you intervening my presentation."

After that confident speech of his, silence descended in the meeting room. There was not a single sound could be heard as they all looked at the man standing in front of them with br.i.m.m.i.n.g confidence. 

This...is he stupid or just plain stupid?

October was silent for a good moment as she looked at the uncomfortable teammates of Su Ki. Their heads were lowered even more as if they wanted their presence to be reduced into nothing. They were acting as if they were not at all related to this discussion. 

With narrowed eyes, October turned her focus back on Su Ki before straightening her sitting position. Even though this simple gesture was minimal, it was filled with grace, elegance and most of all, an imposing aura that could not be ignored. 

October finally looked at the bound papers in front of her and raised her brow. "So this is your report?" 

"Yes." Came a confident reply.

"And you are having a presentation." October said as she took the papers into her hand before looking at Su Ki. 

"Yes, obviously."

October was really surprised with Su Ki's straightforward reply. She had never encountered someone as self-a.s.sertive like him before. Aside from her husband, he has the skills (and devilish charm) to back it up. However, this one in front of her was more like a clown. 

Unfortunately, October was not someone like before and had her mood swings affected by her pregnancy. With that, she can control her emotions no more. "Really..."

Hearing this deep yet chilling voice of October, all of the people in the meeting room flinched and turned to October at the same time that they did not expect to happen.

Zoom.

Their eyes popped out of their eye sockets and their necks shrinked even more. It happened so fast that they were not able to react on time. The only thing they that they heard was the big thudding sound made by the bounded papers slamming on the board, just inches away from the unmoving body of Su Ki.

Flap.

The papers fell on the floor with some of it's pages torn and scattered on the floor. 

All peered to look at the papers on the floor with wide eyes. They swallowed a lump in their with difficulty as their backs soaked with cold sweat. This...what just happened?
