The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 36 - Crisp Slap

"Oh my, I never thought that 'that' scandal was indeed true. I never believe in it before but I guess it really was true." Madam A whispered while looking at October with eyes full of mocking and disdain.

"Ha! Looking at her closer will make you think that she is very aloof and indifferent with almost everything while boasting about how pretty and young she is." Madam B whispered back. She was really getting old and wrinkles were already forming on her face that can't be erased anymore. And now, looking at this stunning young woman in front of her made her jealousy explode.

A lot of whispers and hushed discussions were made and it encircled around October. It was like they were ganging up on her and making her trap at the center of it. Their whispers mixed with laughter were so loud for October making her head ache in pain. Slowly, sweat were forming on her forehead and on her back.

October, although under this circ.u.mstances, she still had her head high, back straight, and a blank face. No matter how hurtful and humiliating their words were, she stood her ground and showed them that it did not affect her at all.

Turning her head away from the lecherous man, her sight landed on her so-called father who was looking at her with eyes filled with fury. She can almost guess what he was thinking. He was most likely thinking how embarra.s.sing she was and that how he regretted ever permitting her to attend his son's party tonight.

'Ah. Such a look really is something I never thought he'd give me.' October thought. She then looked at the woman next to her father who was coiling around his arm with a look an almost undetectable look of delight in her silent eyes. Such a woman, how can she be so naive of having this sort of woman get close to her and her family? No matter how October wished to reverse time and let her correct her mistakes, such a thing was absolutely impossible and would just leave her full of regret.

"Hey! Look at me." The man who claimed to have been the man who slept with October suddenly yanked her by the arm so hard that she almost lose her footing. She looked at him with a blank face but an eyes as cold as ice.

"Be grateful to me since I've looked for you since that day. I've exhausted all of my money in finding you, you know." He said as his eyes stared hard on her pretty face. He was no longer able to control himself as he reached out his other hand to caress October's face but was smacked away by her hand.

"Let go of me." October said with a voice dripped with venom and ice.

Hearing her melodious voice again made the man's body to shudder. However, it was not of fear but of excitement. He was paid to humiliate her and that he can do whatever he wanted to do with her. Just thinking about it made his excitement rose. He can't wait to see this woman grovel under him, begging for his mercy. While thinking of such a scene, the man gripped his hold on October's hand and let out a low and dark chuckle. "Thankfully, my connections were wide that I was able to find you. And because of that, I was able to discover something, a piece of news that really made me so happy."

October felt her arm was starting to turn blue from how hard this man was holding her. She tried to pry his hand away but to no avail. When she heard him say his last sentence made her felt that a foreboding predicament will happen. With her face still not showing any emotions under these sort of situation, she felt like her heart was beating so hard in her chest. "Let go of me."

Right now, October really regretted having to attend this party and be feasted upon in this den full of cunning foxes. Then, it dawned on her, she was really, in fact, alone in this world with no one to turn to. It would have been another thing if her grandpa was here, but he is not here right now to protect her. Her father is here with her, but he is not doing anything and was even looking at her with a gaze full of coldness and indifference as if he was not looking at his own daughter.

Again, October was feeling emptier by the minute. Even her stinging arm was already getting numb.

"Don't worry, my dear, I won't hurt you at all. I am a very responsible guy so of course I have to take responsibility to you." The man said with a smile glowing in excitement and eyes burning with l.u.s.t. He dragged his sentence as if to put some emphasis on his last words, with raised voice, as he finished his sentence with a big evil and cunning smile on his face. With this, his job is done and he can even eat this woman whole. "That's right, my dear. I'll take responsibility for you and my baby that you are carrying."

Loud gasps could be heard around them. Was this man saying that the eldest daughter of the Park family is currently pregnant? And that baby was his? Such revelation was something that they never expected at all. Was he saying the truth.

With this questions popping one after another, they all looked at the woman in question. They saw that the woman just stood there frozen in place and didn't say anything. However, what they saw was her eyes slightly widened in shock.

So it was true. She was pregnant with this man's baby.

The surrounding crowd concluded judging from the reaction that October showed. Really, they can't really judge someone on their outer appearance. What's more shocking to them was that she has such low standard to even hook up with this kind of sloven man even to the point of getting pregnant.

Another bout of whispers were heard. Some were shaking their heads in utter disbelief, some were showing slight pity on her, while some were enjoying her downfall, most were the madams and young misses who were jealous of her beauty.

October felt like her blood run cold and her whole body froze. She was so shocked at what this man was saying that she couldn't help but widen her eyes.

If this man was hired to ruin her, there was a limitation at least to humiliate someone. But this extent, in which saying about her pregnancy, she was really caught off-guard.

Having to be in a daze for a good few seconds, October finally returned back to her normal self as she tried to calm herself down, convincing herself that this farce was going to end soon. "Mister, I don't even know you so how would I even carry your baby? Please stop spouting nonsense just to humiliate me. So let go of me."

October was already sweating profusely because of how she was holding herself back from toppling down and her headache was already getting worse by the minute. She tried to free herself but the man tightened his grip on her arm making her lips tightening.

Letting out a sinister chuckle, the man's eyes twinkled in fascination at how he was getting so attracted to this woman every second he laid his eyes on her. This kind of woman, he wanted to see her what she looked like when she breaks down. "Don't fret, my dear. I know it must have been a shock for you but I am here now. I will never let you suffer any grievances. Look, I even brought your test result with me here. See?"

Saying such, the man got something from his pocket and showed to everyone a piece of paper. The first one to react was October's father who immediately s.n.a.t.c.hed the paper to look into it. After scanning through the paper, his eyes turned dark and deep scowl appeared on his face. He was shaking while clutching the paper. Not being able to stop himself anymore, he crumpled the paper in fury as he shot his furious eyes at October.

Everyone was curious at first as to what was on that piece of paper, what was the result. When they saw Peizhi's face turning from red to blue then back to red, they already know what was written on it. They shot October a gaze full of utter disbelief.

"You disgraceful daughter!" Peizhi roared as his face was so red from getting so humiliated tonight.

Slap.

Everyone on the scene was silenced as they all saw and heard the crisp sound of the slap. What's more, Peizhi was the one who slapped his own daughter in front of them. This was something they never expected.

October felt like her head almost snapped at the abrupt turn. On top of it, her head were already aching so bad since a while ago. She caught herself in a daze as she reached out her hand on her stinging cheek. However painful she was feeling right now, there was never any sign of changes on her blank face and empty eyes.

In the midst of this chaos, a steady sound of footsteps were heard in the silent room. At the same time that the footsteps were heard was the coldness that filled every inch of the room. It carries with it the dangerous atmosphere that made them so suffocated. Everybody's instincts were on alert and was screaming for them to run but they can't because of how their bodies shake in fear.

Soon, the footsteps were already closer and the people automatically parted to make way for this evil monarch to pa.s.s. They all held their breaths and averted their eyes, unable to look at the face of this person.

As he got nearer and nearer, the atmosphere he was giving off was getting colder and dangerous. Soon, his eyes zoned in on the woman's dainty figure who had her face turned sideways. His eyes immediately glowed a dangerous color as soon as his eyes caught sight of the man holding his woman. Immediately, his anger exploded as he quickened his footsteps and his hands closed into tight fists, one can almost hear it making crackings.

"You b.a.s.t.a.r.d, how dare you touch my woman!" Lexus roared in fury as he pushed the guy away from October while pulling her into his broad chest. As soon as she landed on his chest, he held her tightly on her waist as he looked down on the b.a.s.t.a.r.d man. What was even more surprising was that his woman's body was shaking. Whoever dared to hurt his wife will pay for it a thousand, no, a million times! He will make sure of it. He is not a Song if he can't even protect his wife.
