Peizhi frowned when he noticed the sinister glare Lexus was giving him. He can't help but feel terrified under his dark gaze. Did he in some way offended this person? How?

Although he was terrified, he still did not let it show in his face as he tried to gather his resolve and ask with trembling voice, "Who are you?"

Lexus can't help but sneer in front of this shameless man, "Were you the one that hurt my woman?"

"She is my daughter so I have the right to punish her however I want." Peizhi replied as if the actions he had executed were right and just. He does not think that he did anything wrong at all as he also glared back at the unknown man before him.

In all honesty, Peizhi was feeling very conflicted. He was really scared while under the pressuring gaze of Lexus but his ego can't let him take the lose and be humiliated in the party he personally arranged. Also, he was currently surrounded by a lot of influential individual who attended this party that was why he was forced to bitterly grit his teeth as he tried to face this dangerous man head on.

"Daughter?" Lexus snorted derisively. Looking down to stare at the woman tucked securely in his arms, he couldn't help himself as he touched the red hand print on October's face. It was almost as if it was glaring at him. He squared his jaw as he regretted to arrive so late to the point of letting his precious woman to suffer such grievance. He looked hard on that hand print and his heart squeezed in pain.

"He already disowned you, right?" Lexus asked as his voice dripped with tenderness and enveloped October making her shudder. Like a victim under his spell, October dazedly nodded her head while still looking wide-eyed on Lexus' gallant face in front of her.

Right now, however, October can't hear anything around her anymore. She can't also seem to see other people except for this dazzling man in front of her. This was such a sin, ah! How can someone dazzle her so much as if he was glowing in her eyes? Why can't she turn away from him?

Because of how close their bodies were, she can feel his heavy hot breathing tingling her face, carrying with it his minty scent. She can even also feel his beating heart that was like in rhythm with hers. What is this?

Nodding her head slowly, October was kind of puzzled at his sudden random question but still answered him truthfully. This was a known fact to some guests of the party; however, it was still such an astonis.h.i.+ng news for them.

Lexus' eyes glowed as his eyes looked at her as if she was the only person in his eyes while others were only made as a backdrop for her. They paled a million times in comparison to his woman. His gaze landed on her stray hair and absentmindedly tucked it behind her ear.

Such gesture from him was so smooth as if he had done it a lot before but in fact, it was his first time to do it on a woman, especially in front of other people.

"You s.l.u.t! First was you had a scandal with that good-for-nothing man before and now I see you entangled with this man?" Peizhi's face was turning from red to blue then red. This sudden turn of events will really be feasted upon by a lot of the media industries. He couldn't stop himself from glaring daggers at the woman's back. It was all this s.l.u.t's fault that I got humiliated to this degree. If she want to put mud on someone, she should put it on herself alone and not include his family.

Lexus snapped his head toward Peizhi with a deathly glare that made all hairs on Peizhi's body to stand on end. It was such a one-of-kind glare that seemed like it was the eyes from the devil himself. That's how scary it was. "I dare you to call her that again."

Looking at how protective this man was on his daughter, Peizhi thought that he was able to trigger this man and smiled with a smug look on his face. "What? She is just an ungrateful s.l.u.t who I raised for years. But what did she do? She was useless, stubborn, and ungrateful to what I have done to her."

Lexus laughed loudly out of anger and furry. He was really wondering how his woman was able to endure such a stupid father up until now. However, right now, she has him. He can serve as her only backing. He was enough to trample all over her enemies. Caressing her smooth face tenderly and rested on her chin to slowly lift it up for him, his cold lips landed on hers for a short while. After that fleeting moment which caused a lot of soft gasps from the people around, his cold and sinister voice reverberated throughout the room, "Your husband will teach you how to deal with this kind of people so you better pay close attention. I'll do something really cool for you."

October, having heard this with blus.h.i.+ng face, blinked her eyes as she slowly regained her cool-headedness but still remained in his embrace. Oddly enough, she felt warm and safe in his arms. Slowly turning her eyes away, even though reluctant, she looked at her "father" with dead eyes as if the man was a complete stranger to her. Her previous glow already vanished into thin air and was replaced with her usual expressionless self.

Lexus' words kept ringing in her ears. She does not know why but hearing him claim as her husband really made her taste something so sweet that it was getting her so addictive. This man was the only person who made her feel something so much mixed emotions; the only man who can make her feel that she was normal and needed. She tightened her hold of him, as if refusing to be abandoned. Let her be selfish today. Even just this once and after that, she will not think about it again.

"Xi." Lexus coldly called his a.s.sistant. In a blink of an eye, a.s.sistant Yu stood beside him, awaiting for his next orders with a very respectful manner. "Tell Gu Chen to get his a.s.s out here now."

"Yes, young master." a.s.sistant Yu humbly replied with a bow. After that, he took out his phone and dialed a number.

The people who was spectating at this "free show" in front of them, looked at the domineering and dangerous man with fearful but also curious eyes. There hearts were beating fast as they got curious as to what this man wanted to do at this time. However, their question will be immediately answered as soon as they a person running toward the center of their circle with a stupid grin on his face.

"Lex! I didn't expect to see you visit me here." Gu Chen smiled widely as he hurriedly went forward in an attempt to give Lexus a big bear hug but before he can even touch him, he was ruthlessly pushed away by Lexus.

"Don't get near to my woman." Lexus warningly growled at Gu Chen with eyes filled with dark indifference while also tightening his hold of October in a very possessive manner.

Gu Chen felt hurt at this but froze in place as soon as Lexus' words sank into his mind. He gawked at the scene in front of him, with his eyes almost popping out of his eye sockets due to how unbelievable this situation was. Never in his whole life did he expect to witness this and blinked his eyes profusely at this.

"Wh-what..." Gu Chen stuttered as he mechanically looked at a.s.sistant Yu with a questioning gaze but all he got from a.s.sistant Yu was a helpless smile.

He turned his attention back on Lexus and then glanced at the woman wrapped obsessively in his arms.

"Even if you are my friend, I won't let your dirty hands touch my wife." Lexus threateningly said with squinting eyes.

As if lightning stroke, Gu Chen was unable to know what to react with this. When did this d.a.m.n ruthless man kidnapped an innocent woman? Instantly, he felt pity to this woman.

"Mr Gu. Please help me." Peizhi Park rushed toward Gu Chen as asked with a pleading voice. Because of the distance from him and Lexus before, he unfortunately was not able to hear what the two were saying and so unconsciously dug up his own grave, "This people were shameless enough to barge in and disrupt my son's party. Help me chase these shameless people away immediately."

Peizhi said as he looked at Lexus and October with a smug look on his face. For the humiliation he had experience tonight, he will not them off. He will make them regret ever clas.h.i.+ng into him. Now with the owner of this restaurant present, he can exercise his power as one of the shareholder of this business.

Fu Yung looked at them with an innocent smile yet her mind were filled with a sinister laughter. She did not expect this at all. She was right now good as ruin. Ah, this satisfaction of trampling over October was really so addictive to her. Her eyes twinkled in delight at the other's misfortune while waiting for the mess that will break out of here.

However, that time didn't come and her smile froze and her blood run cold.

"Guards!" Gu Chen loudly called and immediately, a lot of black-suited men came out of their hiding spot and waited for his next command. "Have these people leave my property right this instant." Gu Chen's voiced boomed and reverberated throughout the room and slammed hard on each of their pride. However, it didn't stop from there when he opened his mouth again and added, "Blacklist all of the people attending this party."

The guests were shocked silly at this and was furious at how arrogant his words were. It was really a tight slap on each of their faces. However, they were not able to struggle much because of how burly and immovable the guards were that was shoving them out of the restaurant. Their struggles were futile.

Witnessing this, Peizhi was frustrated and mad that he shouted in frustration at the man who was looking at him with a sarcastic smile. "Mr Gu, what do you mean by this?"

Right now, he was feeling like his blood pressure was rising up. But right now he was just filled with so much anger because of the repeated humiliation he had suffered today.

"Hmph! It means I am breaking off all of my ties with you." Gu Chen nonchalantly replied with a boring look on his face. "Now scram for me."

With that, Peizhi, Longwei, and Fu Yung were forcefully escorted out of the restaurant without a second long.

Finally, tranquility and peace arrived and in the room remained 4 standing people, with 2 people looking helplessly at the domineering man in front of them.
