Fu Yung arrived at the entrance of her husband's company and stood with poise and great confidence. As soon as she arrived, she immediately caught the attention of a lot of people. It was like her presence itself calls for attention.

That's right. You should look at me with admiration and envy. Fu Yung smiled at herself. This was the kind of thing she have always wanted to have and she has been living her life happily and luxuriously.

Fu Yung is a young and intelligent woman. She was also charismatic with an alluring yet gentle charm exuding right out of her bones. She was a beauty. Men looked at her with admiration. However, even if she looks immaculate and one who can't even break a gla.s.s, the epitome of a delicate and reserved woman, she was, in fact, looking down at them with eyes full of ridicule and mocking.

Flipping her straight black hair that pa.s.sed right at her shoulder, she walked inside the building with elegance accompanied by greetings from the employees who she pa.s.sed by. She gave them her sweet kind smile as she pa.s.sed but as soon as she was turned and was out of other's watchful eyes, her face were cold with a glint flas.h.i.+ng dangerously out of her eyes. "Idiots."

She immediately skipped toward the CEO's exclusive elevator and waited till the elevator opened. As soon as she arrived in Peizhi's office, she sweetly greeted, "Darling."

Peizhi, who was typing words on his laptop, paused and turned to look at his young and charming wife. His face instantly lit up as smile plastered on his face. "Darling, what a surprise."

Fu Yung walked toward Peizhi as she swayed her hips alluringly and looked at him with seductive eyes. As soon as she arrived on his side, she placed both arms around his neck and kissed him. A few seconds later, the two broke and were lightly panting.

She sat on his lap and circled a finger on his chest and sweetly said, "I brought you food. You still haven't had your breakfast, you know." She pouted.

Whenever she does this, her husband will go crazy and dote on her more. He was really easy. This man is easy to please. See? He immediately got hooked.

When she saw that Peizhi leaned down to kiss her again, she swiftly stood up and avoided him. She giggled and said, "Come on, Darling. Let's eat, I'll feed you."

Peizhi looked at his young wife and thought of how lucky he was to be able to meet such an amazing woman who accepted him for who he was. She was also sweet-tempered and looked fragile that he wanted to always protect her and keep her away from harm.

Helpless, Peizhi stood up from his chair and went to sit beside her. He looked at the boxes laid on the table and inside were the dishes he liked. He laughed delightedly.

"You really are so thoughtful, Darling." Peizhi exclaimed as he looked at the woman beside him with doting eyes.

As Fu Yung fed him, an unnoticeable glint flashed from her eyes.

"Darling, is it okay if I attend your company's next meeting?" Fu Yung slowly asked.

Hearing this, Peizhi stopped and his eyes turned a little dark. "No, there's no need for you to attend such meetings. All you need to do was to be in the house and take care of our son."

"Yes, but I might be of help."

"Such things will only tire you out." Peizhi ruthlessly rejected her offer. He might have loved her, but if it was regarding his business, then another issue.

Fu Yung's hand paused for a moment, almost cracking her facade. Why can't she convince him to let her work in his company? She graduated from the college with an excellent record. But why can't he entrust her with some work? This was frustrating.

Well, she had already prepared some countermeasures. Because of how stubborn her husband was, she has no choice to go that path. She will slowly take over this company and make it hers. She will let her son own it all and not left a single cent for that sl*t.

At the Halo Company...

"Good morning, Director Park." Yun Xixi greeted October and bowed her head respectfully.

"Morning, Xixi." October replied calmly. She looked at Yun Xixi and her eyes were still as straightforward as her personality. Her eyes showed no malice. Guess she have someone on her side who looks at her with such clear eyes.

Yun Xixi smiled brightly. She looked at her boss' straight back that was br.i.m.m.i.n.g with iciness and confidence. Her eyes were full of reverence to the person she deems as beautiful like an ice G.o.ddess. She was the person she most looked up to. No matter what others say, her opinion about her idol will not waver in the slightest.

Yun Xixi was the closest person to October. She spent long hours with this cold person yet she could still not fathom her boss' mind. She was just like a white blank canva.s.s: clear, pristine but nevertheless desolate.

Yun Xixi wanted to talk to her boss like a normal person would. She wanted to be close with her, have fun, go shopping, share lame jokes with each other and many other things. But her boss has a wall she built around her. It was so st.u.r.dy and thick that she can't break it all.

Yun Xixi unwaveringly looked at October until the door of her office was closed before she blinked her eyes and step out of her daze. Somehow, her boss seems different. She looks more...dazzling. Was she imagining things?

Unconsciously making her way to her table and dropping herself down to sit on her chair, she muttered under her breath, "Is it true that my boss is pregnant...?"

Yun Xixi immediately shook her head and slapped her face. No, she can't let those false and baseless rumors affect her idol. After that, she turned her focus on her work and arranged the things she needed to submit to her boss and rechecked her schedule for the week.

She received some calls and emails from people inside and outside the company that either seeks her help or was asking for a meeting with the a.s.sistant Director. After confirming everything, from her emails down to her revised schedule for her boss, she stood up with papers in hand and went to knock on her boss' door. She then heard her boss' voice for confirmation and so went inside.
