"Hmmm..." Lexus squinted his eyes as he looked at the rings that were on display before him. He was so focused on it that he did not notice his surroundings.

Wh-what the heck?! What is this scary man lookig at? It was like he was looking at something really unpleasant. Did we perhaps showed him an ugly ring? 

The staff as well as the manager were totally shaken up as they saw that dark look on the man before them. They were all scared stiff that they almost forgot to breath.

Considering that CM is a jewelry store that many wealthy people go to visit and buy jewelries, they had already been accustomed to the arrogance that those rich people have and adjust to them accordingly on the ways they see fit. One can say that the staff in CM are people who could deliver great customer service. They have never been one that could be intimidated easily, until now. 

All the staff and the store manager were all shuddering in fear in the presence of this devil-like man. They were, at first, drawn in by his good looks and his get up were of top notch. What's more, he has this air in him that he was like on top of the world. Also, the other two men behind him were also good looking, even though they are not on par with the man in black, but still!

However, those have all been flushed down the drain when that same man looked at them. It was just a gaze but the undeniable look within his ocean eyes that were almost like black in color made them freeze and their blood turned cold. 

This man is scary! That was the thought all have screamed in their minds. 

Lady Qin, as what the people call her which is the store manager, was pale but looked attentively at the man who was walking at the front who immediately went to look at the rings section. Even though she was scared silly at this man, she still had to swallow her fear down and do her job properly. Every person who enters their store in their valued customer so she has to give a.s.sistance to anyone, including this man. 

After calming herself down for a little, she went up to him and asked politely with a shaky smile on her white face, "Dear sir, welcome to CM. How would you like me to a.s.sist you?" 

She was totally ignored. Somehow, this ticked her off.

What's wrong with this man? He was the most arrogant customer she had ever received, even though he is extremely scary, isn't there a limitation to being arrogant? She was still the store manager of this world renowned jewelry brand in this city and those wealthy people still gives her face but this man did not even look at them, especially her the store manager, ever since he entered heir store. 

Before she could try to ask the man again, one of the men who was following him stepped in with a smile on his bright face.

"Lady Qin, a pleasure to meet you." Gu Chen greeted the middle-aged lady before him with his polished professional smile but this smile did not reach his eyes. He then cursed Lexus in his mind. This d.a.m.n arrogant jerk. If he did not follow him today, then this thoughtless idiot would most probably be hated by the store manager and get blacklisted in here.

"You look so young, Lady Qin. It's like you are srill in your late 20s." Gu Chen, with his sweet tongue and a charming att.i.tude, immediately diverted the attention from Lecus onto him. 

"Oh my." Lady Qin covered her mouth and giggled sweetly. 

Success! Gu Chen's smile widened.

"Lady Qin, my friend here wanted to find an engagement ring. I want to look at your best ring you have here." 

"Well, it's not that simple. Also, it is expensive." Even if she was afraid at Lexus, she still actee tough as she crossed her arms over her chest. 

"Don't worry, no matter how expensive it is, that guy can afford." Gu Chen confidently smiled as he pointee at Lexus who was still looking over at the rings in front of him. 

"Hmm. It can be done. We do have here a new ring that just arrived from Europe. However, it is only for people with our VIP card." Lady Qin said, feeling doubtful. The two gentlemen looked like someone from a good background. 

"Lady Qin." a.s.sistant Yu stepped forward as he showed a black card to Lady Qin, seeming respectul but his eyes showed otherwise. 

As soon as Lady Qin saw the black card on a.s.sistant Yu's hand, she immediately stiffened and her haughty att.i.tude vanished and was replaced with extreme astonishment and fear. 

Is that the most expensive VIP card that their company has offered. This black card alone costs millions! She only knew that only few people has it and the card holders can be counted with her fingers. She never thought that she'd see this card here in City D of all places. Just...who are these people? 

Gu Chen smiled as he looked at the changing of colors on Lady Qin's face and couldn't help but snort mockingly before he asked gently, "So is this card fine, Lady Qin?"

Lady Qin's heart literally dropped as she saw the smile on Gu Chen's face and the indifferent look that a.s.sistant Yu was giving her. What's more, just who is that terrifying man behind them?

Lady Qin shuddered and swallowed a lump on her dried up throat.

Meanwhile, October looked at the black envelope that was handed to her by Yun Xixi. 

"What is this? Who sent this?" October asked as she received the envelope and looked at it curiously.

"A man named a.s.sistant Ke sent this, Director. He said that it was for you." Yun Xixi said as her glittering eyes looked at her boss with a look full of admiration.

"Hmmm." October looked at the sealed envelope on her hand thoughtfully. "Thank you, Xixi. You can go now."

"Yes." Yun Xixi obliged and bowed her head respectfully toward October and left.

This seemed like a doc.u.ment from her grandpa, but what could it be?
