"I'm not a baby!" I finally said without holding myself back. "Put me down you dolt."
"No way I'm letting you go." Black started arguing with me. I felt his arms clenching my waist tighter than before as if he feared that I'll fly away like a bird if he didn't hold me in his cage.
"Ah. You're holding me too tight. It hurts. It hurts." I feinted.
"Is it really hurting?" Black asked in a very caring voice. "I'm sorry." Black eased up his grip on me. It was just enough to support me. I leaned behind a little. I was in a higher position than him after I had climbed onto him. I looked down only to see his handsome face staring at me.
"Tricked you," I said and flicked my middle finger on the centre of his forehead.
"Ouch." He cried out but I wasn't sure that it hurt him.
"You're such a naive child."
"You..." Black said as if he was angry at me but his voice but his expressions betrayed him. I felt like laughing at him.
"I'm so gonna punish you." Black poked my stomach with his fingers tickling me. That little poke sent s.h.i.+vers down my spine. I knew what he was gonna do and it was so scary.
"Noooo..." I said but I said it too late.
Black kept both of his hands on my waist and started poking tenderly with his thumb. His poke was gentle but somehow it touched the most ticklish spots on my stomach. That combination was deadly. I laughed and I laughed. No matter how much I tried to suppress my laughter, I couldn't stop. My hands were placed over his. They were trying their best to get rid of his hands but my small hands were powerless against his strong ones. I felt like pulling his hair at times so he would stop but I couldn't. I couldn't move my hands away from his. I feared that he might tickle me more if I let go.
Within a few seconds, I was left breathless. I tried so hard to grasp the air but I could only exhale air out of my lungs. I was on the verge of fainting when he finally stopped. I finally placed my head on his shoulder and rested my weak powerless body.
"Now tell me who's a baby."
"I am... I am... I'm a baby... I'm a newborn..." I helplessly said. I couldn't take another a.s.sault of tickles. Though I accepted my defeat, in my mind I was thinking of how I could get back at him.
Black chuckled, victoriously and started walking down the hallway.
When I regained my energy, we were already out of the main gate of the building and in the open. He was walking towards the parking zone. But many students were sitting on the benches across. They were in the park, they were walking around here and there. There were more people than there were in the hallway. He was walking slowly, with me in his arms. Everyone would look at us more or less. I could bet they were thinking that me and my Black are weirdos.
"Put me down, Black."
"You're so shy. Let them look."
"But it is embarra.s.sing..."
"Want to see magic?"
"Why are you thinking about magic now? Just put me down first."
"See."
At that moment, I felt something strange. It was a very peculiar feeling. I felt something but I couldn't put into words what I felt. There was like a change in surroundings but everything was the same as before in my view.
To make an a.n.a.logy, I felt that before it was chaotic. Like there was a s.h.i.+p sailing inside a storm. The s.h.i.+p dwindled as if it would break or sink anytime. But despite all of this, the s.h.i.+p kept floating in the water.
But suddenly, the storm stopped. The dark clouds scattered away and clear blue appeared in the sky. The rain droplets vanished into thin air instead of falling down. The waves in the water disappeared and the sea became dead silent.
There was peace. Everything was frozen. At that moment, I realized the change in the real world.
The time had stopped!
"What the..." I said and the sound kind of echoed a little from nothingness. I gawked with my mouth open in astonishment. My jaw would have dislocated if not for my Black closing my mouth.
The people that were talking with each other had their mouth open as if they were going to say something but they said nothing. The ones that were looking at us, appeared to be looking behind us because he hadn't stopped walking. I saw someone playing with a football and the ball has stopped in mid-air.
"What did you do?" I came back to my senses only to realize that my Black did all that. Was that the real strength of Black? I asked him in a very faint voice, fearing my voice would start that stopped time or my voice would echo again.
"This ability of mine is called The Leap of Time," Black said in a smug manner as he showed off. Normally, he doesn't show much emotion when he shows his ability but this time he had a very proud voice.
"You've stopped time?" I asked. I knew that I still had underestimated the powers of the strongest angel.
"No. I've just increased the flow of time around us. The one second of the outside world is equal to a hundred second near us. We both grow older than everyone by a hundred seconds every pa.s.sing second in the outside world. Moreover, because time is separated, the s.p.a.ce has become distorted and no one in the outside world can see or touch us. But we cannot touch them either."
That was some insanely overpowered ability. If someone runs five meters in one second, won't he be able to run half a kilometre in one second after using this ability? Leave running, Black can even fly! I've never seen him fly but he has admitted he can! How fast can he be?
"In my best condition, I can use this ability for like a thousand seconds relative time in the outside world. But because we two are here, we only get something like five hundred. I guess it's more than enough to reach your car and you won't need to be embarra.s.sed."
My mind started having vertigo as I listened to him explain. He was using that inhumane ability just because he didn't want to let me go from his embrace for a while. Was that smart or stupid? It felt like he was using a sharp sword to peel off vegetables.
I stopped thinking about it. I knew I would surely get annoyed the more I think of it. I only focussed on his sincere wish to hold me some more and I felt warm in my heart again.
He walked while carrying me silently. I didn't know how he knew where my car was parked but he walked in the right direction. I didn't ask him anything but my head just wandered around, enjoying the wonders of the world one can only see while the time had stopped. The more I looked the more fascinated I felt.
"Eve..." Black spoke, but his voice didn't echo. I wonder if I was hallucinating before. "I wonder how many babies would you like to have?"
"Where did this come from?" I replied. I realized that my echoing voice from before was really my misconception.
"Just wondering ever since you professed you are a baby." I could only ignore him. He had grasped my weak spot and it was like my neck was hung on a blade. I couldn't deny him at that moment. At that moment, I think we had come close enough to discuss something like that without any shyness or hesitation.
"I guess two are more than enough." I sincerely answered him. "I've never before thought of the topic but as everyone says, two are the best."
"That's so... less..." Black replied in an exaggerated manner. Two ain't that less. We were talking about babies, not candies!
"How many kids would you like to have?" I forwarded him his own question.
"Um... let's see." He pondered for a while and then replied, "At least thirty-three."
"Oh." A little oh escaped my mouth but when I realized what he said, I was instantly stunned beyond belief. I wondered if I heard the wrong number so I asked again to clear my doubts. "How many?"
"Thirty-three," Black said in a plain voice as if it was just normal. "This many babies sounds just fine to me!"
Like h.e.l.l that was a fine number!
"Do you wanna kill me?" I murmured subconsciously.
"Why do you say that?"
...
...
An awkward silence followed after that. I didn't know what to say to him. He was so freaking dense. I wondered if he had any brain inside. I've heard that it hurts like h.e.l.l when babies are born. I've even seen it in some videos. Won't I die while giving birth to so many babies?
A thought appeared in my mind. My Black had told me that he can always heal me to my best condition. Then did it mean he was serious? Another thought appeared in my mind which was more comfortable to think at. He was tricking me like I had tricked him before. He was getting back at me.
"You're kidding, right?"
"Why would I joke around with such a serious topic?" He spoke in a very firm tone.
f.u.c.k...
My Black wasn't kidding!
