"How did you do that?" Amber exclaimed.
"Did what?" Mira asked and looked in our direction.
"Magic," Black replied and curled up his lips.
"He's a magician," my aunt informed my two friends. She wasn't too much surprised by this. After all, last time my Black had made a whole piano appear out of nowhere. Popping up a candy in thin air wouldn't appear to be that big of a deal to her.
"Show us some magic too then," Amber said enthusiastically. She loved magic.
Black thought for a while and then said, "Okay. Today I'll do a special show for my wife's friends."
Black moved in front of the table so that he's right in front of his audience and then he popped the candy in Luna's little mouth. He kept the wrapper in his hand. He held Luna in his left arm while his right arm extended and showed the silver-red wrapper to his audience.
"What is this?" Black asked.
"A wrapper, of course," Amber replied.
Black then held the wrapper in his hand and closed his fist. After five seconds, he slowly opened his fist and in his hand was a small white ball.
"So wrong. You're out Amber," Black laughed. This time, my aunt's and Mira's eyes widened. Even Luna appeared confused by the sudden appearance of a ball. However, Lilith and Michael were unimpressed by his performance. They both knew that my Black is the angel of creation and he can create absolutely anything.
"Anyone else wants to try and guess it?"
"A white ball?" my aunt answered.
Black closed his fist again and when he opened it, this time there was a small cylindrical black coloured object in his hand. It looked exactly like a mini wand used by magicians.
"How are you doing this?" my aunt asked curiously and Black smiled in return.
"It's real magic mother-in-law and you're out too. Wrong answer."
"Tsk. Magicians don't tell their tricks." Mira commented.
"Wifey come here. I need your help for next magic." Black called out for me.
"Coming hubby," I replied and walked towards Black as fast as I could.
"You too joined him now?" my aunt asked. I guessed it was because I called Black hubby rather than joining him in his trick. I realized that my aunt didn't know that I already married him. I stood by my Black's side before raising my right hand, once again showing off my silver ring.
"Just when did you..." my aunt was too shocked by this sudden revelation. I loved that expression on her face.
"You can ask her later mother-in-law. Now is the time for magic," Black interrupted her.
"This wand is too small. Wifey pull it." Black held the small wand in his palm. I did as he asked me to. The small wand stretched and at the same time its diameter increased.
"Whoaaaaaa!" Amber almost screamed up while I stretched that wand.
I stopped when I felt it was the right size of about ten inches.
"The wand is still small. Bigger wand, better magic," Black told me. I couldn't understand this stupid logic of his. Nevertheless, I pulled on to the wand again. Black only asked me to stop when the wand was about a meter long.
"So who would want to guess it now?" Black once again asked the audience. Lilith and Michael were unresponsive. In the end, Mira tried to guess it.
"A giant wand?"
"Wifey. Hold the other end and jerk it on the count of three."
"Okay."
"Three... Two... One... Go." Black counted down and we both jerked the wand together. Though we weren't exactly synchronized, magic did happen. The next moment, in my hand was the edge of the cloth and the rest of the cloth unfolded down till it reached the ground.
"Oh, Mirajane. You couldn't guess it right either," Black sighed because no one could guess the thing in his hand. Everyone laughed up on hearing his over exaggerated sigh. Even Lilith giggled faintly.
"Anyway, let's continue to next act." The audience was happy about getting to see some more magic.
"Luna. Don't tell anyone what you're going to see. Okay?" Black warned Luna and Luna nodded once again.
The next moment, behind a small cloth, I saw him create something made of wood. I was shocked that he would use his abilities in front of Luna. What if Luna grows up and still remembers this scene? Luna was paying all her attention and gawking on it with a wide smile. It took only a short moment until a chair was formed. Black dropped the cloth from his end so that everyone could see a chair.
"This is so cool! Wow!" Amber shouted and clapped. She was the one who most enjoyed this little magic show. Although my aunt and Mira were enjoying it too, they weren't as excited about it as Amber.
"Wifey. It's your turn. Show them some magic too," Black said to me as he sat down on the chair he had created along with Luna. I was sure he was asking me to test and exhibit the power of my ring in front of others.
"I'm not good at it. So help me out from the sides alright?" I went with the flow and moved half a step forward.
"So I'll start with the same magic as my hubby did," I said and extended the left palm of my hand in front of everyone. I placed my right hand above it and then slowly lifted it up so that it would give the proper appearance of magic. Midway through lifting up my palm, I opened the gate and brought out a deck of cards from the s.p.a.ce zero.
"So here is a deck of card."
"Impossible!" Michael almost screamed off the top of his lungs. He who was most unaffected by my Black's magic was most shocked after seeing my magic. Even Lilith's calm expression had changed to that of amazement.
"Why are you so shocked now?" Mira commented. She didn't understand it. The trick I did was the same and it was kinda boring to look at too.
"But you're...You're... Just how is this possible." I understood Michael wanted to say 'But you're just a human'. I didn't bother to explain to him. It was nice to see him act like a fool.
"Help me out with the next. Okay?" I told Black. Although he didn't know what magic I would do, I was confident he would understand me. There was nothing that the strongest angel was unable to do. I shuffled the deck thoroughly as I had seen in movies, but my way was a little clumsy. Next, I kneeled and separately placed all fifty-two cards on the table and asked Amber to select a card and take it.
She selected a card that was placed in the middle right of the table.
"Go on. Take it. Don't show it to me. You can show it to everyone else," I told her as I collected the rest of the cards and bundled them up at the center of the table.
"Remember your card and place it over the deck," I instructed Amber. The rest of the people carefully looked as she obeyed my instruction and placed her card over the rest or cards.
"Now Amber, look into my eyes and think of the card," I said and stared into her deep brown eyes. Normally I'd envy her beautiful eyes but watching Black's beautiful emerald eyes had rendered unable to think of any other pair of eyes beautiful. She knitted her eyebrows as if I could really see into eyes and read minds. I couldn't help but chuckle. Perhaps not me but a certain someone had that ability.
"Seven of spades."
"How the h.e.l.l are you doing this?"
"As everyone can see, I didn't even touch the deck or cards. Now Amber pick up the deck and search for your card."
"Isn't it on the top?" Amber asked me but I didn't reply.
Amber picked up the topmost card first and checked it. It was five of hearts and not seven of spades.
"Whaaattt!!!! ..." I heard the sound of shock coming from the audience. Michael was still the one who exclaimed loudest. Amber then carefully checked the whole deck but the card she had chosen had disappeared. There were only fifty-one cards left in the deck.
"Amber. Check the back pocket of your jeans," I instructed her again.
"How can it be there?" Amber refused to believe it. But she still stood up and pulled out the seven of spades from her pocket.
I couldn't have done this magic without the help of my Black. My accuracy over the use of ring wasn't that good. I couldn't specifically put the topmost card in the s.p.a.ce zero. In truth, when I was looking into Amber's eyes, Black had already transported the topmost card. It was easy as a breeze to see the card in the s.p.a.ce zero. And I just told them the card that Amber selected.
Next, Black waited for me to say the name of the place where I wanted to make the card appear and then he placed the card in Amber's back pocket. Even though we never had practiced the trick before, our collaboration was absolute perfection.
"The f.u.c.k... This is absolute madness. How can such ability be taught? How the h.e.l.l did you do that? Hey, beast... I mean Black, my dear friend, your 'magic' can be taught right? Teach it to me too...Please." Michael was the most shocked one of them all. It was funny to think that the second strongest angel would use such a wide variety of swearing words. He appeared to be traumatized by our magic trick.
