At a young age of sixteen, here at Wordsworth kingdom, Duke Sairas Aicker also the Captain of the Mythical Beast Knight Squad, was at wits end.

Or so it happens, there exists a special squad within the Mythical Beast Knight Squad, but the mythical beasts attached to the said squad are all aloof and doesn't listen to people's words.

Calling it 'the special squad' truly sounds beautiful, but in truth, they are a group of troublesome deviants who could not blend in with the main squad. And their leader is partnered with Sairas, which made his head hurt even more.

"Gyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!! Ple-ase—– heeeeeeelpppp!!"

How many times have it been this week. From the special squad's shed, a scream could be heard from the new candidate which will be in charge of them.

"A failure today as well…."

Ever since the old aged predecessor suddenly hurt his back and had to be away from his duties, the new keeper for the special squad's mythical beast had not been decided.

Sairas who personally conducted the interview sent several candidates which seemed proper to the shed to meet them, but their fussy nature had made looking for the best candidate hard to find.

For now, Sairas has been in the center of dealing with them as a desperate measure, but evidently it seemed difficult and there is a reason the status quo could not be maintained as such.

The annual practical meet is just a month's time away. And the amount of unfinished work piles up day after day, and the limit for a day's work has surpa.s.sed.

"How should I go about this…"

To begin with, the mythical beast comes from the G.o.dly beast, the dragon, who left traces of his blood by mingling with different races before going into extinction. They are the existence where the dragon's blood thickens, the genes awakens and surfaces itself. From dogs, cats to birds and various other kinds, born with their natural standard and abilities heightened. They are called the mythical beasts.

Of course their intellect are a chart above, but their b.e.s.t.i.a.l desire are not lost, so they are still loyal to their instinct. Due to that, they require individual care and adjusting to them would deem to be a difficult task.

The mythical beast with their heightened abilities and the caretakers who wants to have a symbiotic relations.h.i.+p with them, and the mythical beast with dragoon blood flowing in their veins who stays true to their instinct. No matter what happens, the ones with the reins are always the mythical beasts.

"Seems like there is no other choice but to alleviate the requirements and provide better reception, and continue taking in applications then"

Saying so to himself, Sairas placed his hand on his forehead and made an anguished sigh full of distress.
