Alex walked over to the gate. When the person pacing on the gate frantically saw Alex he smiled. "Mr. Alex, welcome!'
Alex was curious. Did these guys already find out my information? Alex nodded and shook hands with the person.
"h.e.l.lo, my name is Alex." He introduced himself. "I was invited to the university."
The man nodded. "Indeed, indeed. It was I who was on the phone with you some time back. Please follow me, I will lead you to the dean's office."
Alex nodded and calmly followed. Along the way he looked at the vibrant campus of the university, full of students and filled with the vibrancy of youth. Perhaps in another life, he too might have been a university student and have fun just like an ordinary student, Alex thought to himself.
The man and Alex quickly walked to the main office building of the Warrior University and eventually into the office of the dean. Other students saw this man leading a young person to the office with a frantic expression and had curious looks.
Within the dean's office, Alex actually saw a very young man. He looked to be in his twenties. However, his hair was actually made of stone.
"Are you surprised to see me? I am indeed only 22. Yes, I am the dean of the Warrior University, Lionel Ace." The young man said with a smile.
Alex was stunned. The dean continued speaking. "I received information today that the object I have been desperately looking for is available with you." He looked at Alex, but a sad desperation crept within his eye. "Come with me." He said.
The three people followed a few corridors and then arrived inside a hospital ward. There, the dean walked up and stood in front of a young girl lying on the bed. The girl was very frail amd seemed to be extremely weak. However, the most shocking thing was that her body had turned into stone at many places.
The Dean spoke. "This is my sister. Our mother once suffered an attack in the fourth card dimension from some kind of dangerous creature. Then when I was born, I was diagnosed with a disease, slow petrification to death.
Luckily, my body actually happened to have a very small affinity with the stone attribute. My family thus found a stone attribute training formula for me. I thus became a pure stone attribute card user, with the goal of eradicating this disease from my body. The faster I grew, the more I could control the petrification amd eventually nullify it.
As you can see, my hair is the last remaining vestige of this petrification. I, however, was lucky. My journey has been hard, but I can say that I was lucky. Why? Because I had some affinity to the stone attribute in my body. I had a path out.
However, the same is not true of my sister. When she was born, my mother pa.s.sed away. My sister was also born with the same condition, but unlike me, she did not have any affinity to the stone attribute at all. Thus she has no recourse.
I searched far and wide and finally found out about this stick, and its properties from an Alien race. However, actually finding the stick seemed to be impossible. This object can convert my sister's body into a pure stone attribute body and the illness will automatically dissolve away.
If you have this object, then I hope you can sell it. I will be forever grateful to you." The Dean sighed as he looked at his sister.
When Alex heard this story, he felt sympathetic at their tragic story. He thought about Lionel, desperately practicing an attribute he had a minor affinity for, in desperation to reach a high enough level to become a dean for a top university in the Academic Alliance at just the age of 22. He looked at the sister who seemed to be in dire straits.
Alex sighed. He opened his bag and took out the stick. He didn't expect that this thing he randomly found would become a matter of life and death for another person.
When Lionel saw the stick he was shocked. He was sure this was the stick he had gathered information about from the Alien species.
Alex didn't say anything, simply handed it to him. Lionel, s.h.i.+vered, before taking the stick. He quietly walked towards his sister with trembling hands and touched her head. The girl suddenly woke up.
Lionel then spoke at the girl. "Aurora, come, eat this."
The girl weakly looked at her brother. "Brother, what is this thing? It looks like a stone, how can I eat it?"
Lionel was still trembling in antic.i.p.ation and replied. "It is a very rare treasure that can heal you. It will feel like eating a potato chip. Come, bit it."
The girl looked reluctant, but then she bit onto the stick. The stick didn't feel like it was made of stone at all, with a big crunch, the girl easily bit it off. Surprised, she quickly bit and chewed on the stick's morsels, ending up eating the whole thing.
Then a huge vortex formed above her body as her body began to change rapidly and the stone petrification on various parts of her body began to disappear and she became healthier. Suddenly there was a loud popping sound and the girl raised her hand for a stone attribute base card to appear.
Alex was a little shocked. This girl hadn't even formed a seed before and it seems that her body became a perfect stone attribute body and all the petrified stone was consumed to create her base card.
The girl suddenly sat up, like she was never sick. "Brother, I don't feel sick anymore." She said innocently.
Lionel was actually crying as he saw her transformation. He was smiling and crying. "Good, good. Finally, my Aurora is cured."
Alex looked at the two and felt a little wistful. This was a family, bound together by death, yet willing to die for each other. And his family? He shook his head. He didn't understand why this parallel universe changed his parents nature so drastically.
