After they had agreed to the plan, Lu Wan went separate ways from the other two.

Ye Jiao looked at the direction of her senior brother with worry on her face. "Do you think he's going to be alright?"

"This is his plan," Qi Huan summoned out his sword. He swung it a few times while his eyes were looking towards the alleyway. "At the very least, he should be able to complete it."

"I just hope nothing bad will come from it." Ye Jiao was still worried. After all, this was the first time they agreed with the plan that Lu Wan proposed. She had to admit, he can use his brain at times.

Qi Huan nodded. His clear blue eyes were looking in the direction where Lu Wan left just now. Even though the plan sounded quite ridiculous when he first heard it, he knew that it was the only choice for them to leave this place. However, just a single mishap might cost them Lu Wan's life.

That boy was playing with fire.

And the two of them didn't stop him. Instead, they decided to help him to make sure that he would be unharmed at the end.

"This is the first time he decided to settle his problem by himself. Our task is to support him to make sure his crudely made plan can go smoothly," Qi Huan said unhurriedly.

Ye Jiao nodded in agreement. "You're right."

"We have to go too. Good luck on your side."

"You too."

The two of them disappeared into the crowd in a matter of seconds. They blended perfectly as if there was no difference between them and ordinary citizens. All people could see was a young girl or young man who was walking around curiously on the street.

Lu Wan traveled across the alley at high speed, bypa.s.sing dozens of areas in just the matter of minutes. It was easy for him to travel a lot because there were two people who had forced him to travel for a long distance in a short time.

Compared to that, this would be child's play.

'With half of them focused on the prince and his entourage, there shouldn't be too much who will pay attention to me.'

Lu Wan reached the north gate, which he found to be filled with guards too. His face darkened. It would be hard for him to get out of the city with each gate filled with numerous guards like this. When they talked about what the Imperial Family would do, Qi Huan had warned him that they would go all out.

And now, he knew how true it was.

Just the sheer number alone would make everyone afraid. There were already a lot of people who were trying to keep their distance away from the gate. If it was not absolutely necessary, they wouldn't even want to approach the guards who were looking around with their menacing gazes.

'Time to go again.'

"HE'S THERE!"

The thundering voice traveled through the air. Lu Wan hurriedly quickened his pace as he traveled towards the alley. Several guards were following behind him closely, trying to find a way to capture him quickly.

"HE'S SO QUICK!"

"OVER HERE!"

"COME AND CAPTURE HIM!"

"DON'T LET HIM GO!"

Yelling and screaming to one another, they called for more help to capture Lu Wan. A lot of guards soon filled the narrow alleyway. It looked as if the place would be packed with guards if nothing was done soon. Even though the s.p.a.ce was small, the guards continued to pour in as if their lives depended on this capture.

Lu Wan evaded an arrow. His eyes grew sharp when he noticed the guards were adamant on chasing after him. Utilizing his Eon Energy, he quickened his pace to far beyond what usual Eon Energy Master Rank 2 could do.

Even though he was chased by the guards, his face remained calm. It was completely different from what youngsters his age could possibly do. There was not even any trace of panic as he exerted his Eon Energy and controlled his speed in order to make sure that the guards couldn't chase him.

Clang!

Right before he turned, a blade greeted him. Lu Wan took out his sword and not the chain as he blocked the attack. The man's face turned grim when he noticed that Lu Wan pushed him back with mere strength.

In the next second, Lu Wan had killed him.

There was no hesitation whatsoever in the young man's eyes as he moved again. Several guards had arrived by his place and readied their blade. Their expression was solemn for they had seen how powerful Lu Wan was. Just that one encounter with their comrade had allowed them to see much more.

Eon Energy Master who just had Eon Energy under their sleeve was nothing much. They would just like an empty barrel without any content. But an Eon Energy Master who could utilize their Eon Energy and kill without hesitation was a completely different matter. This kind of person mustn't be underestimated or they would suffer.

'He's not just a brat.'

'No wonder the imperial family wishes for him.'

'His strength is already on par with newly advanced Eon Energy Master Rank 3.'

The guards couldn't understand how come a young master like Lu Wan, who was known for staying in seclusion for a long time, could possibly have this high martial arts ability. It was as if they were facing a veteran who had fought countless life and death battles.

Little did they know, Lu Wan had indeed survived in numerous life and death battles.

Lu Wan's use of the sword was crude, but it was precise. He might not be the best swordsman, but he was clearly a powerful Eon Energy Master. Even when he was facing numerous soldiers before him, there was not even a hint of fear in his eyes as he continued to move his body around.

With each move, a soldier died. At the same time, more and more soldiers continued to pour into the alley.
