I'm currently doing my last day of therapy before school starts and d.a.m.n it's been tough Callie is a tough woman. So I'd like to say to my past self is how could you be so stupid to think it would be easy to get to were we are now Especially the first month *s.h.i.+vers*.

(Flashback 2 months)

June 1, 2013

I'm going for the second day but this time I'll be on my own. My mom has a worried look on her face she must be afraid of me getting hurt she been extra attentive since I got back from the hospital.

I look at her and say " mom don't worry about me I need this okay it's for my own good I'll be back to myself in no time."

She looks at me and says " I know Alex I love you and I can't wait for you to be better"

My mom pushes me in and waits for Callie to come get me then she leaves after giving me another hug.

Then the hardest days of my life started I've never felt sooo...weak. Everyday for the first month she made me do every stretch you could think of and everyday she would push me a little further. Then one day When I asked why the h.e.l.l we were doing this type of thing she said " well since you think it's not important I'll explain it to you, you need to perform stretches and exercises to prevent immobility. Also you want to know what other benefits you get from the physical therapy I tell you to do increasing muscle strength, increasing circulation, oh and it also reduces spasticity, which causes continuous muscle contraction which can interfere with your normal movement, speech which your lucky , and gait Still want to complain."

I say " no I apologize for being so rude, I'm grateful to have the help of someone so beautiful" I look at her feeling guilty at first then I give her a smile.

She blushes then quickly hides it but I see it then she says "Hmph! Hurry up and finish your stretching so we can do some exercises, then we could see if you could handle some weights" and she smiles at me at the end and I can't help but *s.h.i.+ver* and I do the stretching while thinking 'worth it' cause I saw her blus.h.i.+ng face 'cute.' And that's how the first month pa.s.sed by I also practiced singing and playing guitar half way through when I could move my arms normally. And I also study things I would have learned the past 2 years well more like refres.h.i.+ng my memory of them because I have a test to take the day before school starts that decides whether I'm a senior or have to be tutored at home and start from soph.o.m.ore year, I'll be homeschooled.

'The system is crazy it helps me progress faster than a normal person but when I got close to 50 it took a little bit longer to get one point and the YouTube videos of singing lessons really helped me get better. And I can't believe she went that hard on me it must have been me calling her beautiful was she happy or not I don't know ,but the second month could almost be called worse almost because of Birdie it wasn't. Birdie would be worried when I would come home worse off then the day before sometimes she would sing to me bring me food or do something silly to make me laugh she is such a cute little sister.'

(Flashback 1 month)

'I have to be able to walk on my own come ON!' I'm currently in the therapy center with Callie trying to learn how to walk on my own again I almost got it I can feel it. I'm in between these two bars holding my self up and trying to walk when my mom and Birdie walk in and see me ' I bet birdie keep telling her she wanted to see me.'

Anna starts tearing up hands covering her mouth " is this... really happening...your almost there my sweet... baby boy"

I say " well I'm only standing but I'm getting stronger looks like you'll relive my first steps huh mom"

She laughs" yes of course I'll record you on my phone" and she laughs a little more.

Birdie hops up and down excitedly and says " Alex I know you can walk I know you can"

And she looks at me with eyes filled with hope.

'Hah guess all I needed was for my little bird to tell me I can and I will' then with eyes filled with determination I take one step then two then three then ... I'm falling 'd.a.m.n' ...and now I'm not I look and see Callie holding me up beaming with pride but she quickly hides it so I don't get a big head 'I saw it anyway.'

I say" you know Callie if you wanted to hold me so close you could have just asked ... not that I mind of course" she blushes then it's gone quickly as it came.

And she said" alright let's go work on your leg strength can't have you falling all the time now can we"

I respond with " unless it's for you right" she blushes and just ignores what I said and we do our workouts for the day and we finish and as I'm leaving I say " Callie your smile really is beautiful you should do it more often I enjoy it when you do" loud enough so she can hear me she quickly walks back in to the center. My mom just laughs and Birdie looks upset with her arms crossed. And as the month pa.s.ses the therapy sessions intensified so I would be able to reach my goal Which Callie said was almost impossible but seeing my determination she gave in at least it gave her more chances to tor-train yes train him harder is what she was thinking. I also kept on practicing my guitar playing and singing and studying.

And these past two weeks I got off crutches on the 1st and the the workouts I would call them now are closer to what normal people would do I'm perfectly fine now I have the strength to walk on my own I just don't have the stamina so we've been working on that with the little time I had left for school.

Now I'm just finis.h.i.+ng my last therapy appointment with Callie whom I've grown really close to even though she won't admit it.
