The main ingredients were batch of Flux Seed and sprinkles of Blue Herb.

Flux seeds used for cooking, so he could get it inside the kitchen. As for that blue herb, Abium might find it in the mansion garden. It was an ornamental plant, so he didn't need to sneak outside to search for that. Abium moved ahead to collect those two materials and some pure water.

A few minutes later, he returned to his room and placed the flux seed, blue herb, pure water, and some utensils on the table. He almost alerted the guards when he sneaked inside the garden.

Soon he calmed down and began to concentrate. First, he pulverized that magic stone and Flux seed. Following that, he took a small bowl from the shelf and placed it near the table.

Then pour some pure water in a tiny vessel and boiled it. After a few minutes, Abium mixed sprinkles of the blue herb into it. Immediately a sweet aroma emerged inside that small room. The fluid changed from transparent to light green.

Next, Abium added the powders of flux seed and magic stone into the solution.

He heated till it resembled like gelatin. He once again noticed the color changed from green to yellow.

When gelatin looked like yellow color, he cooled it down.

Once he cooled down, it went from a semi-solid state to a liquid state.

Drinking this potion would be no benefit for cultivators. But for Non-cultivators, it would be a treasure.

When Abium drank that potion, a crus.h.i.+ng pain struck him all over again. The pain appeared like icy wind choking the breath from his lungs and making a noose around his neck.

It's savage, bitter blasts cut right to his bones and gripped his brain in it's freezing claws. His heart constricted in its wake as if not sure if it should go on beating. A few minutes later, he returned to normal, but he felt there was still discomfort for some time due to raising mana and spirit.

His body soaked in full of sweats. A small sigh came out of his mouth.

Abium soon observed the changes happening inside his body. He noticed the improvement of mana inside his body also felt his mind refreshed than before.

By the time he finished everything, darkness had started to fade, and brightness appeared everywhere.

He didn't waste any time and started to pack a few things for the morning trip. Then soon, Abium walked out of his room and arrived at the yard. He noticed the city in the daylight, the city which he never thought of seeing it again. Roseglen city was enormous. It was beautiful and so much color. Some obelisks rose into the sky, casting their shadows across the rest ground. With a single glance, anyone would tell this Viscount to spend so much money on this city.

Abium thought of the upcoming journey, which would be a turning point in his life. It was a journey to Royal capital, Dewsummit city, and it would take at least five days to reach there by carriage.

The journey to Royal capital was for Viscount's son Robert's future. Robert planned to attend the mage selection test that conducted every year in Kaummiths Inst.i.tute of Magics to become a mage.

Robert desired to become a mage, so Viscount already paid many gold coins in advance. Now, Robert was on a journey for the apt.i.tude test.

Once he got selected as a mage apprentice, then the inst.i.tute would give those students with basic cultivation techniques. These were the privileges only available for n.o.bles. For commoners, they wouldn't even have any chance to even dream about becoming a mage.

With the basic mana cultivation technique and basic spirit cultivation technique, it might take years to become tier 1 mage.

Students also additionally had to sign a soul contract to avoid spreading those cultivation techniques to other organizations. So Abium didn't have any slight possibility even to go near to the magic academy. He stood there while pondering how to get any mana cultivation technique.

Within an hour, everyone gathered outside that mansion and ready to set out. It was a rainy day, walking - every person with their head down and moved faster.

The sound of feet on wet paving stones almost lost against the splas.h.i.+ng of the traffic; only the click of high heels still clear.

The hazy drops dampen the usual smell of the fumes, and every face was on the blank-stressed spectrum - at 7:30 am it's always the same.

There were a total of 30 peoples, including five servants to attend the viscount 'Gauvain's heir Robert.

Fifteen soldiers were tier 1 warriors, and nine soldiers were tier 2, then the remaining one person was the leader of the unit, a tier 3 warrior.

His name was Johnathan; the person who left servants and soldiers as scapegoats and ran off with the young master and other household members in the past.

Sometimes had some goblins attacked the cart, but these goblins were easy to deal with as they engaged with fewer numbers.

Only if they attacked by large numbers, it would be tough to cope. Also, there would be no monster attacks in other areas besides some borderlands.

Although the whole trip was peaceful, yet only Abium knew this was the calm before the storm. This time he planned to save all these servants and soldiers at all costs. It's a little hard to achieve that goal, but he would be okay because he could fight against monsters with second-tier strength by applying basic sword aura.

If Abium had to compete with a monster with the strength of third-tier warrior head-on, he would be dead in a few minutes.

While he was in a daze, the group entered Baxbron woods, the forest that separated Viscount Gauvain territory and Margrave Eliot's region.

When they entered the forest, the sky vanished almost completely, only a few fragments of blue remain- like scattered pieces of an impossible puzzle.

The air was rich with the fragrance of leaves and loam, damp too.

Even so many hours after the rains had pa.s.sed, the soil remained wet, releasing its heady fog.

Outside was the noon daylight, the powerful rays of early summer, but inside the forest, everything was cold, and the colors have the softness of that time before twilight.

The only movement was the occasional bird, startling in a tree or a squirrel das.h.i.+ng up a nearby trunk.

In the past, everyone scattered in a different direction, and only three got out of the forest alive.

Those cruel monsters killed the remaining soldiers and servants one by one. Also, when the other two soldiers entered the Roseglen city, Abium heard later that they were immediately captured and executed in the name of treason.

Viscount also put all the servants' names and soldiers' names on the wanted list so that they wouldn't have any opportunity to even had a better life.

Viscount told everyone that those soldiers and servants stole his young son's magic item and ran off while others were battling against goblins.

Because of that, Abium had to hide his face every time he went to the Roseglen city.

After he pondered for a while, Abium chose to take care of that later. He might be only a peasant now, but he had already determined to walk on the path of mages.

Additionally, he planned to take some artifacts from the hidden vault and other places so that he could hold some advantages during battle.
