"Do you have any way to escape from here?" Aliza asked while walking hastily towards the beach sand.
"No, here in this plane there is very little miasma. So, it's tough for me to recover my energy." Ulzez muttered and glancing back at his back.
"So, which faction are you from?" Aliza's squinted her eyes. She already guessed, this dragonkin was a Chaos affiliation and asked about which faction.
"Don't worry. I'm from the good faction." His reply made her breathed out a sigh of relief.
'Well, he seems to have no ill intention against me.' She soon noticed the whole church starting to go down, and her expression turned bitter.
"What are we going to do now?" She was always wondering why this mighty dragonkin ran like a coward instead of facing that small child. As if he had already read her thoughts, Ulzez replied with a heavy sigh.
"Don't look at me like that, girl. I am not a coward. I'm already exhausted due to the blood loss and those nullification rods. Also, I don't want to face that child of blood." Upon hearing that reply, a frown appeared on Aliza's face.
"Child of blood? What is that mean?" She knitted her eyebrows and asked in puzzlement.
"She is the daughter of Emone, G.o.ddess of blood."
"What?!" Her expression froze.
'Did I just release a being who could equally fight against legendary mages?' Her face began to turn pale, and soon, cold sweats started to appear on her forehead.
"Well, yes. But for now, That Blood Child's strength is completely drained due to the imprisonment. Moreover, it will take at least years for her to come back to her former strength." She sucked in a cold breath and nervously stared back at that falling church.
"How are we going to escape from here?" She was now regretting her decision to dive and exploring the deep sea.
'Well, how could I know that girl child is an evil G.o.ddess's daughter?' She comforted herself and started walking towards the beach faster. She could see many s.h.i.+ps near the sh.o.r.eline and ponder.
At the same time, She felt the connection between herself and that shark becoming closer.
'Zethis! Come to my direction.' She instantly called out in her mind and dashed forward hastily towards the sea. As they were moving closer towards the sea, Aliza suddenly thought of something and asked in puzzlement.
"So, Why are you imprisoned here in the first place?" From the earlier actions, Ulzez appears to be more of a good guy than a bad.
"I violated the agreement and entered this plane without official permission while tracking this child but ended up meeting a bunch of plane guards. After that, I was outnumbered and completely imprisoned here."
"Who are these Plane guards?" She became so puzzled by these new words and asked with a raised tone.
"You don't even know about Plane guards? Well, they are like guards protecting this world from the other astral beings or otherworldly monsters. Mostly elves are the ones who control that organization." Said Ulzez with a solemn tone.
"Oh! But I heard elves are nature-loving freaks and won't uphold their promises." Aliza's words startled him.
'Who taught these things to this girl?' He wondered. Soon, both reached the seash.o.r.e, and Aliza noticed a large figure moving towards their direction in the seawater.
"Zethis!" She shouted in excitement. At the same time, a twelve-meter long creature noticed her and moved towards their direction at a fast speed.
"Sanguis. Did you enslave it with your innate spell?" Ulzez asked with a surprised expression.
"I don't know. Some rune letters appeared in my mind a few days ago, and after that, I noticed I could enslave other living beings." She said with a bitter smile. She had no clue about those runes and felt more afraid of those runes inside her mind.
"Oh? Did some unexpected events triggered that spell to appear in your mind?" He asked while narrowing his eyes.
"Yes, when I felt so much betrayed, these runes started to appear in my mind." She said and suddenly thought of something and asked. "Is it possible, this spell comes from my dad or ancestors?"
"No, your condition appears to be special. Someone planted a death seed in your body. Most likely, that guy chose you as a test subject." Ulzez words caused her drenched in cold water all of a sudden.
"What do you mean? Test subject?!" She shouted in alarm.
"Don't panic. For now, all you have to do is face reality and start to improve your strength. I can tell that guy who put the death seed is more powerful than me." Ulzez said and quickly cast a spell. Soon, both floated in the air and moved towards a random direction while that shark followed them in the sea.
"Where are we going?" Aliza asked. She felt clueless about the direction in this devil sea in the past few days.
"I am searching for an island. I'm also powerless now, and my inner organs are completely damaged. If we went back to the mainland, I don't even know how many will come for my blood." He said with a sigh and started to move.
"But there is no island nearby. There is not a single s.h.i.+p coming towards this direction." Said Aliza with a frown on her face.
"We are already miles away from the mainland. Most of the normal s.h.i.+ps won't even enter the deeper sea because of the sea monsters. Only light a few powerful factions would try to explore and occupy those islands in the deep sea areas." Aliza finally nodded in understanding.
'So, I drifted so far away.' Aliza shook her heads and quickly started to think deeply about the guy who planted a seed inside her.
…
In the northern border fortress of Peral kingdom,
Fennelis and Umi stood at the entrance a two-storied building while covering their heads with black hoods. They had already entered this fortress and now planning to get the approval from officers to cross this kingdom.
"Mama, how many days will it take to find dad?" Umi asked in a tired tone. It's been almost more than a week, and still, they hadn't found her dad.
"We almost reached our destination, my dear. Don't worry; we will find Derek sooner." Fennelis comforted her and soon s.h.i.+fted her gaze towards the check post. Many merchants, adventurers, and some other citizens also lined in a queue and waiting for their turn.
Up ahead of that two-storied building was a large wall blocking everyone's visions. If someone wants to cross that five-meter tall wall, then they had to go through that checking process. Although for persons like Fennelis and Umi, it was easy to sneak, Fennelis didn't like to go illegally.
Soon, Fennelis also joined the queue line while grabbing Umi with her left hand and started to frown.
'But we are standing out too much with these hoods.' Fennelis could tell, all of the adventurers, merchants starting to look at them weirdly. Well, She knew wearing those black hoods during check-in would make them more suspicious, but she didn't have any option. A few days before, they already got a fight with a few holy knights who were roaming near to Margrave Eliot's territory, and she nearly killed them in response.
'I also need to control my strength; otherwise, I might kill innocent peoples.' She thought to herself. Fennelis had already started teaching about fighting techniques and about those innate spells to Umi and felt less worried.
'The only one who could threaten Umi's safety is bishop level and above rank members.' But she knew, the possibility meeting that bishop level here in this rural area was almost zero.
"Next." A rough voice broke through her thoughts, and she quickly pulled Umi with her left hand then walked forward. Soon, she saw a guard who wore a metal helmet, and silver armor stood at the entrance of that building.
He had a stern face and gave a suspicious glance at both of them then gestured them to walk inside. With a bow, Fennelis quickly walked inside that building and saw a wooden door in front of her. At the top, there was a number 2 written along with the symbol of adventurers guild's logo.

Knock! Knock!
Fennelis tapped that wooden door twice and waited for the response from inside.
"The door is open. Come in." A rough male voice came from inside that made Fennelis's eyebrows arched up.
"Excuse me." With a polite tone, Fennelis opened that oak wooden door and walked in.
In front of them was a fat middle-aged man around 40 to 50 years who wore a black uniform sat on the wooden chair. He had a slightly wrinkled pale face, short burgundy hair, upturned dark brown eyes, and a snub nose. Behind him were a total of six soldiers who stood with an imposing aura and appeared to be discussing something.
They wore a blue linen s.h.i.+rt and pants with a symbol of crossword in a circle. As Fennelis was about to ask something, her sky blue eyes caught a slim, middle-aged lady who sat in the left corner of that room. She had ordinary eyebrows, hawk nose, long pure red hair, and almond pink eyes with red limbal rings around the edges of her both irises. With a simple glance, she could tell that woman was unique.
'She is strong!'
'Who is she? What is she doing here?!' Fennelis was startled inside.
"Remove both of your hoods." That fat officer Vicar, who got annoyed a little when noticing Fennelis's rude behavior ordered with a rough tone. His upturned dark brown eyes were suspiciously gazing at both of them and urging Fennelis and Umi to remove their black hoods.
"Umi, take off your hood," Fennelis said with a sigh and, at the same time, started to remove her own hood.
"B-Beastkin!" Vicar's eyes almost popped out and shouted out loud in a stutter as he saw both of their faces. The next instant, all the six guards, stopped their talking and s.h.i.+fted their gazes with a surprised expression on their faces.
"Well, I didn't expect to meet beast kin here. So, do you have any permit to cross the border?" Vicar soon composed himself, then gave both of them a sharp look and asked with a harsh voice. Without waiting for anything, Fennelis looked out her adventurer's guild card and placed it on the oak table.
"Adventurer?" He raised his eyebrows upward and said: "You can go, but I won't allow that girl to cross this border." His sharp word made Fennelis frown.
"What do you mean?" Fennelis gave an icy glare at Vicar and asked in a cold tone.
"She didn't have any citizens.h.i.+p certificate or recommendation letters from higher-ups." Vicar wasn't fazed by Fennelis's cold words and replied in a flat tone.
"She is my daughter. And with my guild card, I have the right to bring one or two family members along, right?" Her face fell and asked that officer with a death glare.
"I am the officer here. If I say I won't allow her, then you must follow that even if you are an adventurer. Moreover, even if I kill both of you here, no one will come back and search for you anyway, right?" Vicar gave a mocking laugh and signaled other guards.
"Capture that girl and lock her up in the dungeon cell. Write a report that filthy beast kin breaks free from the slavers, and we are going to return her to the dealers." Vicar revealed his white teeth and said with a cold laugh.
Shw.a.n.g! Shw.a.n.g! Shw.a.n.g!…
The next instant, all six guards inside that room unsheathed their swords and moved towards both of them.
