At the third storage unit, the presence of a motorcycle was again apparent, but the hunter had become quieter. He didn't seem as confident or as powerful. It would seem that my appearance had hinder his plans.
In the end the unit was eventually sold to him at 1,500 dollars, very cheap. So I had guess that he must have not prepared the money for the auction and was hoping to cheat his way out of paying.
I smirk at the thought of an easy win.
When it came to the fourth storage unit, the price dropped even further, and it was sold to the hunter at 1,000 dollars. But he didn't look too happy any more.
The last unit was where daisy was sitting cover with a tarp and hidden behind fake plants and furniture. But aura couldn't be hidden so I knew what I wanted.
"Four hundred, four hundred, four hundred dollars! This is the last unit, and as we all know we leave the best for last. Anyone going to bid four hundred?"
"Four hundred!" I said as I wave my hand.
"Four hundred, the bid is now 400! I'm going to ask for 600, 600! Anyone willing to accept 600…"
"Me!" the hunter shouted.
"Six hundred dollars, six hundred now, how about…"
"Eight hundred!" I shouted,
The cowboy nodded before continuing, "Very nice, large room plenty of items …"
"Eight hundred" the Hunter interrupted.
"One thousand!" I said with a wave,
This was getting compet.i.tive. People were looking at me funny. I continue to bid.
"Fifteen hundred!" the hunter shouted,
"Five thousand! Fight me!" I shouted, feeling annoyed, the thing was persistent.
Meanwhile, the auctioneer continued, "Five thousand two thousand dollars! Anyone for fifty-one hundred?"
After two more announcements without any response, the auctioneer pointed towards me.
"Congratulations Lady, you have won this precious unit!"
Finally, I got to paid the fees and open my unit. Daisy was in a box in the back, I tore the box open, the smell of rubber started to fill the storage area.
She look perfect.
Daisy was a 1969 Triumph Bonneville with a mutated 12-volt generator. She was all white except for the bars that were yellow. The best part was she custom to the hills with protection spells and runes.
