These weren't humans, so people turned to look and they were stunned to see so many of them. However, the people noticed that the majority of the slaves were handy capped so their fear died down.
The Dark Elf and two Demi-human Bear Brothers wanted to ask why he would buy them, but they held back for now. Soon, they came to a restaurant that was pretty decent in size with people going in and out of it.
"Okay, guys, this is the place!" Some of the slaves were deaf, so they had to be spoken to in sign language while the blind ones had to be guided. Once they entered the restaurant, the woman behind the counter was shocked silent. Seeing the woman's face frozen while remaining silent, Vitiate had no choice but to speak first.
"I would like a table for..." Darius paused and looked at the group of slaves and did a quick count. "21, please. If you can give us a separate room away from other people, then I'm willing to pay a bit more."
"T-this.." The woman was stuck in a dilemma, she wasn't sure she was obligated to serve foreign races. So, she told Vitiate to wait so she could bring over the manager or get confirmation from him or her.
"What the h.e.l.l is this!? You brought mere slaves into our place of eating, you really do have some b.a.l.l.s!" Suddenly, a man who was eating couldn't stand it anymore and spoke up seeing the number of slaves.
"Who the heck are you? Shut up and enjoy your food, this is none of your business!" Vitiate knew someone would be against this, but he didn't think they would say it directly to him.
"You see, it is my business when I want to eat, so you better take your slave posey out of here, or else!" The man grinned and put his hand on his Axe stationed on his waist.
"Or what? What can you do? If you try anything, then your arm's gonna get broken from this all of this!"
"Haha! I'm an E+ Ranked Adventure, what can some random guy do to me, you're only asking for a beating!" Vitiate could see his status, but he couldn't see his stats. His t.i.tles alone got him knowing what type of person he was.
"..."
"Hoho! You're silent now, you should have listened when you had the chance!" The man didn't draw his weapon, but he still rushed Vitiate baring his fist. His fist was wrapped with some strange energy, it was obviously the use of Aura/Ki!
Vitiate stuck his hand out and intercepted the man's fist!
"What!?" The man was stunned, he put a decent amount of force into this punch, but it was effortlessly blocked.
"Let go of me!" Vitiate started to squeeze the man's hand slowly!
"Agh!!" The man fell to his knees and grabbed Vitiate's hand with his other hand, trying to pry his grip away. Vitiate's strength stat was the highest, so it wouldn't be hard for him to crush most individual's hands or arms.
Just when he was about to break his hand, he was called out to by someone.
"Stop! Customer, please, no fighting in the restaurant!" Vitiate didn't look at the man, but he knew he was the manager that was retrieved by the woman from earlier. He complied and let the man's hand go, but as soon as he did, the man reached for his Axe with a maddening expression.
However, he was kicked in the face and sent sliding across the floor like a mop! Vitiate wasn't the one who did this, it was the woman who went to get the manager from earlier! "The manager said no fighting, so there shouldn't be any fighting here!" She always wanted to hit this guy, he always said and made pervert gestures towards her, so this felt good to her.
"My teeth! You d.a.m.n b.i.t.c.h!" Just when the man wanted rage again, the manager called out to 2 bulky men.
"Throw this man out, he's causing a ruckus in my restaurant!" The two men nodded, they were also E+ Ranked Adventurers, but they were stronger than the other guy who was also an E+ Rank.
"What!? I haven't finished my food! Give me back my mon..." The man couldn't finish when he found his face sliding across the pavement outside!
"Sorry about that Mister, to answer your question, yes, we have a place for 20 if you want to be seated there. Also, it will cost a little extra, money is money and if you can pay it, you can get anything you need and want!" The Manager smiled, if you could pay the right price, all would be well in his eyes.
"Perfect! That'll do then." The man nodded to Vitiate's word and called a worker over to guide him and his crew of slaves to the room. The slaves were stunned at the strength of their new master, they couldn't figure this guy out.
The Dark Elf and Drow's eyes squinted, they were just as confused but didn't ask. The room was s.p.a.cious with two large tables present, enough to feed up to forty people or so! The man that guided them to the room gave them several menus since there were so many people.
Once he was done handing them out, he gave a slight bow before leaving. He had seen Vitiate's strength and it was well deserving of respect.
"You can choose anything you want to eat, I know you guys haven't eaten any good in a while so go for it." The whole room remained silent, it was like everything had frozen in time. He just bought them and now he takes them to a restaurant to eat!
"Hey, don't look at me like that, I'm being serious here, just choose what you want and I'll buy it." Some of the slaves looked at Vitiate with strange expressions, the crippled slaves that couldn't walk had to be placed in their seats.
The slaves looked at their menus, happily, most of them could read, but there were still a few that couldn't. They were given a.s.sistance by other slaves that could, so there was no problem there.
"What is your gain, what are you trying to do by buying us?" The Dark elf finally spoke, he only had one hand. His face was the worse, it was scratched up so badly, it ruined his 'beauty' which elves usually had.
"Well, you guys are going to help me with my business. I'll be taking you guys there to work as workers there." They were going to find out sooner or later, so he didn't mind telling them.
"Bussines? Workers?" The Dark Elf looked a Vitiate like he was crazy! "Do you not see the condition we're all in, we can't do any type of labor, look at those crippled people. Some can't see, hear, and walk, or worse." The Dark Elf had a point, there were no able workers amongst these slaves, but the deaf could still work properly through sign language to receive direction.
"I have resources and that can heal these problems, so pipe down and relax." Vitiate stretched, there was no reason to talk much about it here. Once his businesses were up, he would give them all a complete rundown about everything.
"....." The Elf didn't say anymore, he seemed to be thinking of something. He didn't want to go against a guy who was trying to buy his sister for him.
"H-how long are we going to be slaves? Are you going to keep us as slaves forever?" Suddenly, a Demi-human with bear ear asked. He was tall and somewhat muscular, at least he should be more like so, but that wasn't the case.
"No, you can work for your freedom, so there aren't any problems there, just make sure you don't get caught again!" Everyone was shocked, was he really going to free them once they worked it all off!?
However, some didn't believe this, but this was understandable. The host came back and everyone ordered their food. After a while, multiple maids came in with food to serve to all of them. Without hesitation, they ate happily, Vitiate wasn't hungry so he pa.s.sed eating up.
For precaution sake, Vitiate appraised the food for them and found that it was safe to eat. Needless to say, they all pigged out and ripped into their food without a shred of decency. Food didn't cost much, well, it depended on the quality like his last world.
Sadly, there were even humans amongst this group of slaves, they didn't let their own kind off either. Everyone was eating happily, they hadn't eaten this good since they could remember. Time pa.s.sed as two hours went by just like that.
The slaves were talking to each other about their experiences and how they ended up as they did. Vitiate needed to go to the bathroom, so he got up and left while everyone was talking. On his way to the bathroom, he could overhear some of the conversations. Well, it wasn't like the person talking was trying to hide what he was saying.
"Have you heard? The Silver Scorpion faction is coming here to subjugate a powerful monster in the forest!"
"They're coming here all the way from Tarnish Desert to take down some monster, what monster is it, the manticore?"
"Manticore? No way, why would they come here for something like that? Tarnish desert has its fair share of annoying and creepy monsters with the manticore being one of them!"
"So what are they coming here for? Stop holding out on me and tell me straight up!" The man started to get anxious.
"You know about the rumors, right? It's about the Phoenix on Terror Mountain! I heard she was weakened from laying an egg, but the other factions still wouldn't dare to push against her. But something incredible happened about a week or so ago. Some adventurers saw her in a fight with an Earth Dragon, they were sure she was wounded by the dragon, thus weakening her enough for the Silver Scorpion faction to raid against her!"
The man ranted on excitedly, it was a chance of a lifetime. They wanted to take down a Pheonix, the reward would be astronomical if it was a success!
"Excuse me! Sorry to pry into your business but could you tell me when they're coming and how many they'll have with them." Vitiate had to ask, his dungeon was stationed on terror mountain, so the probability of being discovered was high.
The men looked Vitiate, they recognized him from earlier, yeah, they've been here that long!
"They'll be here in about a week or so, the number said was around 30-70 men! Yeah, I heard that they might even have a few Rank Adventurers with them." He didn't mind telling Vitiate, he had recognized his strength from earlier.
"Ah, thanks fellas!" Vitiate nodded and walked to the bathroom to take a leak before going back to get all the slaves. He paid at the counter and left with the group, it was basically night at this point. Vitiate had wasted so much time at his Dungeon creating the structures, so this made the day go by so fast.
He also wanted to kill more time by feeding the slaves and waiting for night to fall.
Most people were already entering their homes because of martial law and with the fact that they didn't want to become victims of the murderous monster hidden within the village. As the saying goes, a vampire can't enter your home unless you invite them in.
The sky was just about darkened with many people running through the streets to make it home. Though Vitiate's group stuck out like a sore thumb, no one could be minded with them now. He quickly made it to his newly purchases land.
The slaves were confused, why were they here of all places? There wasn't a single structure to be found here.
Suddenly, a beam of light shot out of the empty void after Vitiate said a few words. He had chosen the position he wanted to place both structures. There wasn't anyone around but him and the slaves, so no one knew about what was going on here.
And just like that, the mall appeared before everyone! After entering the mall with the slaves, he showed them to their rooms. Vitiate also told them that he will start to heal the one's he is able to tomorrow.
"I'll head back to my Inn to sleep, but I have to wake up early in the morning and come back here." After speaking to himself, he left the Mall, and with a snap of his finger, his disguise disappeared as he reverted him back to his original look.
At this point, there wasn't a soul on the street. Eventually, he made back to his Inn, but there was something going on. The Inn had knights in it questioning a few people, there was a body bag on the floor, someone had died!
