Respect for David increased immensely in Sky's heart. He didn't marry again even though he was scared to lose her. He never cared about having another child and was willing to live alone.

"Help me!" Sky said after taking a few files in her hands.

Sam took the remaining files, Arlo took the files which she was holding. They left Harley corporation.

Arlo rushed to Sigma as he had many things pending. He spent half of the night in his office before going to the Smith mansion to sleep.

Sky reached the Harley mansion and had dinner with David and clung on to him all the time.

"La.s.s! go and sleep. Aren't you tired?" David asked looking at his daughter who was following him all evening.

"I am thinking to sleep in your room today." Sky said as she watched the news channel.

"Why? Is there any problem with your room?"

"Nope. Since you never coaxed me to sleep, I thought to grant a wish." Sky said gave a cheeky smile.

Even though David was happy by what she said, he still probed, "La.s.s! Now tell me, Why are you clingy today?"

Sky turned off the television and turned to butler, "Uncle, Please send a duvet to Dad's room."

"Right away young miss." Butler left.

"Let's go" Sky brought David to his room and told him about the Lan family and a few business misconducts.

"I am safe by rejecting him." Sky grinned after saying everything.

David rubbed her hair gently and said dotingly, "I will support you whoever you choose or reject. Poor or rich, younger or elder."

Sky chuckled saying, "So can I go for younger too?"

"Isn't it common in this generation? As long as you are happy, nothing else matters."

Even if one day, she wants to leave the Harley corporation to purse what she likes, he would agree without thinking for a second.

"Touchwood. I have the best father."

After some more talk, both fell asleep in his room.

The next day after workout and breakfast, Sky went to her study to complete her office work.

Before lunch, Sky heard a knock on the door, "Come in."

"Let's have lunch." Sky heard a voice and knew whose voice was that.

"What's up?" Sky asked without looking at him.

Sky scribbled her name and went towards the door wearing her long floor length full sleeve shrug.

He silently waited for her. Sky exited and heard noises from downstairs. "Sam! What's going on?"

The living room had simple decoration with flowers and a few add on tables with snacks on it. There was soothing music playing.

Sky saw Jimmy, Maxwell finis.h.i.+ng up the decoration. Clark was carrying cookies to the table. David was sitting on the sofa with his a.s.sistant and Arlo.

Sam finally spoke but he didn't say anything, "You will get to know soon."

Arlo, as usual, reached the Harley mansion but saw everyone arranging for a simple party. He was about to excuse himself and go upstairs to Sky's study but David stopped him to speak about the accident in Country U.

He explained everything and mentioned the driver was drunk and he wasn't targetting Sky. Anyway, the driver was in prison for a drink and drive, an accident and placing two VIPs of Country A lives in danger.

They almost finished talking, when he saw Sky coming down with Sam. Her shrug was sweeping the stairs, Her black and pink ankle-length home shoes had bunny ears which looked cute on her slender fair legs.

He retrieved his eyes back soon as David and a.s.sistant's eyes were on him. David saw his eyes towards the stairs and knew why his eyes darted there.

But seeing Arlo sitting back in indifference David sighed inwardly and asked, "When are you planning to tell Sky?"

David knew well how Arlo working in Harley and then a late night in Sigma. Initially, he kept people behind him to get information then dropped seeing him working sincerely.

Arlo understood what he was asking, "The third week next month. After announcements of Harley resorts to the public."

David was well aware of his daughter. She never tells but she would be nervous until she sees the results. So Arlo's decision to propose after the announcement was faultless.

"Do you know what she said to President Lan?" Even though David knew Arlo wasn't someone like that, he wanted to listen to his response.

Arlo remembered about voice recorder but didn't show his smile or any reaction on his face. "Yes! If I have such ideas, the first one to slaughter me is my grandmother."

He knew Olivia was very fond of Sky and even if she was not Sky, she won't let him treat a woman like a piece of thing or business deal.

David had met Olivia many times and he knew how Olivia does things. So what Arlo said made sense to him.

Sky reached them, David's a.s.sistant and Arlo greeted her.

"Young miss."

"Ms.Sky!" His emotionless voice had a hint of gentleness.

Sky nodded at both and curiously asked David, "Dad! what's going on? Sam isn't telling me."

"You will get to know in a few minutes."

"Hoo! What's so secret?" Sky sat and gave it a thought, "Are Brothers Jai and Loran coming?"

David looked at his daughter in amazement thinking how she connects everything to them. "Do you know the world without your brothers?" David asked.

"What's the use of the world without them?" Sky said nonchalantly and went towards Clark saying, "I will ask Clark."

It would be a lie if David says he wasn't envious of Barton brothers but it wasn't as high as in the beginning.

David looked at Arlo whose lips slightly up looking down. David coughed lightly and spoke, "I hope you know who you shouldn't offend to be with my daughter."

Jai Barton! One word from him, Sky would leave everything and do as he says.

Arlo nodded at him in response as he saw Sky who was going around Clark to get information.

"... Clark! Are you really not telling me? Clark!" Sky couldn't make him say anything.

"Sister Sky, If I say, Brother Peter will beat me up into a pulp." Clark tried his best not to tell but Sky got a hint.

"Okay!" Sky spoke like she gave up on asking and chose a different way, "Is this all because of Peter?"
