He read Sky's articles in college magazines which Princ.i.p.al gave him. He returned the magazines after knowing Sky had a copy of it.

While talking, there was another visitor to the Princ.i.p.al. Sky made an excuse to leave seeing the person enter. "Thank you for inviting me, Princ.i.p.al! You will have many visitors so I will not take more time."

The princ.i.p.al signaled the other person to sit, who sat next to Arlo where an empty seat was present. She noticed Sky holding man's hand and sneered ignoring Princ.i.p.al talking to Sky. "Sky!"

Sky gave a faint smile to her and looked at the princ.i.p.al who spoke, "I wanted to meet you personally to ask if we can use your painting 'Northern lights' for our magazine? Your theme suits our magazine theme and many voted it for putting on the cover page of Magazine."

Sky's faint smile turned into a surprising curve, "I didn't know paintings are still safe. Princ.i.p.al! Of course, you can use it."

"Shall I take a look?" Arlo asked hearing they had Sky's painting.

The princ.i.p.al nodded, "I will ask to open the door of the gallery for you two."

"By the way Sky! I heard Ellis opened a studio in aboard, Do you have his contact information? His many paintings were in his dormitory room when he left and I had s.h.i.+fted them to my house as they were very beautiful."

Sky paused, she didn't even remember him to see in reunion or ask his cla.s.smates. "We are not in contact. If you don't mind, May I check his paintings too?"

The princ.i.p.al paused and took a few seconds to respond but the lady who was next to Arlo sneered.

"Sky! You are holding somebody's hand and asking about another man. Can't you keep your hands away from any good looking man?"

Arlo who didn't care to look at the lady glanced at her. She was in a bodycon dress hugging her curves perfectly. She might be beautiful but Arlo was annoyed by her gaze on Sky.

Sky took a deep breath and looked at the princ.i.p.al who was glancing at both women in confusion, "Princ.i.p.al?"

The princ.i.p.al pa.s.sed a card that had his address and phone number. "I will inform in the home! But I suggest you take them. You can send it to Ellis if you get his information. I'm finding it difficult to look after them."

Without hesitation, Sky answered, "Sure. No problem!"

The lady scorned, "How many more men do you want Ms.Barton?"

Sky turned to her and replied calmly with a smile, "That's none of your business. Ms.Bell."

"Thank you, Princ.i.p.al!" She stood up and pulled Arlo, "Let's go."

Arlo followed her out after he nodded at the princ.i.p.al. He followed Sky to the gallery. Seeing her distracted, he decided to ask, "Sky! why was that woman hostile towards you? Why is your mood affected because of her?"

Sky held his arm and walked as she asked, "Will you mind if I keep Ellis's paintings at home?"

Arlo promptly answered, "No! There is nothing to mind."

The attender turned on the lights for them in the gallery, "Miss, I will be here. You two can check inside."

Sky nodded and went in with Arlo. They checked the painting as Sky told about Ms.Bell.

Sky Barton and Hafsa Bell were well known in college as Best friends. Both were in the same cla.s.s and the same extracurricular activities. Hafsa was staying in College Domintory whereas Sky was staying at home. Excluding resting time and after college, they would spend all the time together.

She had even taken Hafsa to meet her family. Sky even shared her bedroom with her whenever Hafsa didn't want to stay in the dormitory. They used to have fun bunking college whenever they had no mood to attend the cla.s.ses.

Sky never would say no to whatever Hafsa was asking or requesting her. She even prepared projects for her whenever she said she couldn't do it. Sky would ask to prepare Hafsa's favorite food at home so that she could take them to her. They were that close.

Hafsa liked a guy from the senior batch. Whenever she wanted to meet him or see him, she would drag Sky with her.

Since he was the one Hafsa liked, instead of giving cold shoulder to him, Sky would nod or curtly reply to him if she was asked anything by him. Hafsa always took her everywhere despite Sky protested to be the third wheel between them.

She would give one reason, "I and Danny don't want any gossips about us in college. If you come with us, there can't be any rumors. Can't you do this for your best friend?"

Sky would eventually give in to her. Once Hafsa wanted to go on an outing with Danny but Sky refused to join them. Danny made his stance clear to Hafsa that he would only take her only if Sky joins them.

"Danny liked you instead of her." Arlo said as he understood the upcoming part of her past with Hafsa.

Sky nodded at him.

Sky never asked or Hafsa never told her conversation with Danny. So she didn't know Sky's presence was not because Hafsa wanted. It was Danny who always said to Hafsa, 'Bring Sky! We can avoid gossips.'

Sky didn't agree to go outing and that too for multiple days. She directly rejected. Hafsa asked in Sky's home who agreed to send Sky. But the latter didn't change her decision.

Even though Sky knew Andy well at that time, she never stayed out with him. Maximum they would go in the morning and return at dinner time. So going with Danny for Hafsa who she didn't even know properly was out of option.

Hafsa was very disturbed at that time as she lost a chance to stay with Danny because of Sky. She eventually became normal but bitterness stayed between them.

Hafsa started to mingle with other girls and would take them to meet Danny. The latter started to avoid Hafsa with random reasons knowing she was bringing some other girls.

Sky wasn't aware Hafsa was taking somebody else to avoid gossip and Danny was avoiding her. But she started to see Danny more frequently near their cla.s.ses. Since she would greet him back whenever he greeted her, she followed the same not knowing what was Danny and Hafsa's relations.h.i.+p state.

But Hafsa was getting happy to see Danny and tried to talk more but he was ignoring her and was striking a conversation with Sky.

Hafsa started to think, Sky was the reason for her and Danny's increasing fights and misunderstanding.
