Ethan stood up from the couch and took her to the room holding her hand.

"When you left, William said you left with somebody who picked you in a luxury car. I thought you were a gold digger who played with my feelings.

I was just partying with those friends, after hearing it, even I went around with girls. I was changing girls frequently and never really cared about anything else.

I didn't even dare to reach you thinking what if you really left me for somebody richer than me. I became egoistic, arrogant and what not to hide from everyone..."

He made Winne sit and poured wine into two gla.s.s before pa.s.sing one to her. Winnie's alcohol tolerance was high hence she accepted and continued to hear him.

"When Dad brought me back to country A, they had arranged a date with Sky. Uncle David and Dad are friends. Have you heard about President Harley? Cold-blooded, ugly, crippled like rumors?"

Winnie nodded taking a sip, Ethan continued, "That's Sky, Sky Harley. President Harley, Youngest CEO and President in Country A..."

Winnie widened her eyes, "Ms.Sky is younger than us by four years, how is she managing such a big conglomerate? She isn't like as rumors say She is very gorgeous, sweet and... rags too." Her face turned bright red saying rag.

Ethan stroked her cheek as he continued, "Yes! Dad and Mom adore Sky as a daughter. She takes care of everything and everyone. n.o.body treated me badly or rejected me but she didn't care about me on our date.

She almost broke my wrist on our first meet. I felt as too childish in front of a little lady for the first time. She sent me to the hospital and I met her again on the same day night. I had looked down on her look seeing..."

Winnie cut in, "Look? She is very beautiful. Why did you do that?"

Ethan smiled, "She was in a typical suit looking too plain. The same day I saw her in a simple gown but she carried off too well-grabbing everyone's attention with her smile and then I understood, she was cold to me hence she looked serious to me.

Anyway, after that our conversation and talks were quite relaxing. I consider her a friend and she is like an elder sister to me who lectures me if I take the wrong path.

What you are seeing me today as CEO and President Jeff was only because of her else I would be partying and time-wasting. She was always there for me whenever I was in trouble. So there is nothing to be jealous about Sky other than admiring her."

Winnie nodded in understanding. They filled wine second time as they chitchatted light topics before Winnie told him about her story briefly.

"Do you remember your friend Rick? He was dating our cla.s.smate for so long and he broke up for another girl. Our cla.s.smate couldn't move one and she couldn't take it Rick used her and didn't really love her so she committed suicide.

I tried many times to talk to you but you always said, 'I will not leave you' and you still hung around with your friends and partied.

After that, I always heard rich heirs marry the one whose family arranges and till that they time pa.s.ses with other girls giving fake promises.

I was really scared and tried to avoid you but you always gave into me and took care of me. So I transferred back to country P college.

The car I went to the airport was a professor car who was also going to the airport hence she offered me a ride. That wasn't any rich man."

Ethna pecked on her backhand, "I'm really sorry for making you feel insecure."

Winnie smiled lightly, "I'm sorry I left abruptly. I should have spoken to you."

They spoke about their past for a little while before sending Winnie to get fresh, "I will ask somebody to get your luggage from the hotel tomorrow. Shall I give you my nightwear for tonight?"

He pa.s.sed a s.h.i.+rt and a pant for her before he went to the next room to get fresh.

He returned to his room soon and took his mobile to send a thank you message to Sky but he left it remembering Sky would kill him if he continued to thank her.

Winnie exited the washroom soon wearing an oversized s.h.i.+rt and pants which made her frame look even tiny.

Ethan spoke seeing her come out as he personally changed the new bedsheets and arranged everything, "You sleep here. I will be in the next room, Call me if you need anything. Alright?"

He was leaving when Winnie held his hand. She spoke hesitatingly, "Ethan... While I was trying to move on, I was in a live-in relations.h.i.+p for seven months before I broke up with him." She wasn't sure how Ethan would react for it.

Even though Ethan wasn't in a live-in relations.h.i.+p with anybody, he was physically intimate with a few and he didn't care about her past relations.h.i.+p.

He released her grip on his wrist and held her shoulder as he guided her to bed, "That's all past now. What really matters is that we love each other nothing else."

Winnie nodded. Ethan tucked her in and was about to kiss her forehead, Winnie suddenly widened her eyes.

Ethan couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong?"

"Are you... sober?" Winnie thought he was going to kiss her on lips and she didn't want him to kiss her in a drunken state.

Ethan knew why she asked. She used to ask the same in the past too. He didn't have such thoughts but he changed as a smile crept on his face.

"I am sober. I didn't drink much."

He went to her soft pink lips. He was thinking for just light kiss but he instinctively deepened when Winnie responded to him...

By the time both felt breathless and broke the kiss, Winnie was on top Ethan who had ended up on the bed.

She was blus.h.i.+ng heavily as her arms were around his neck which made her movement restricted. 

Ethan teased her face brus.h.i.+ng his nose before helping her lay back on the bed. "Sleep!"

Winnie held on to his s.h.i.+rt hem finding the right words to speak. She had wriggled too much on him which gave him a b.o.n.e.r. She didn't want him to suppress himself.
