Sky breathed through her mouth to remain calm and got a glimpse of the body. "That's not Brother Jai." Sky patted on her chest as she moved ahead and saw the big nail scratches on the body.

As she went near she saw the ring on the forefinger and didn't move ahead clutching Arlo's jacket tightly. He saw her line of sight at the hand and saw the ring.

"Did you remember anything by that ring?" Arlo asked and held her hands which were slightly s.h.i.+vering.

Sky nodded. She took a deep breath and told looking at Arlo. "After beating the ones who kidnapped, I was hugging Brother Jai and noticed that ring when he was tying the string around those people. They all saved me, why did they end up here like this? And... And I couldn't even do anything for them."

She choked on her tears as she completed. Arlo clenched his teeth and stroked her head in his embrace. Since they didn't find Jai yet, She composed and remained positive.

All walked ahead. Arlo's main bodyguard didn't receive any message so they weren't sure if the first team was going in the right direction or the other two and Jai escaped. They knew well until they get any information about Jai, Sky won't agree to leave the forest.

It was already twenty fours that they started searching for Jai in the forest.  n.o.body could believe Sky could actually keep up with them or keeping herself strong for to search Jai. Seeing her resolute about her decision even after seeing two bodies, they were giving hats off to her determination and affection towards her brother.

Again everyone had energy bars, cookies, and other light snacks as they continued to move ahead.

They had to cross the long gra.s.s field. Since they couldn't see anything over there, All guards covered them as they walked ahead. It was a very long stretch yet they couldn't see any animals if they present.

Sky saw a snake when they were near the end of the field and shouted, "Snake... Snake..."

A guard stepped on its head and oppressed under his boots which Sky saw live. She soon exited the gra.s.s field and threw up whatever she ate an hour back. Arlo patted her back and handed her the water bottle when she was done.

After cleaning her mouth, She sat on a stone and was drinking water Clark gingerly asked who didn't know why she threw up. "Sister Sky, are you pregnant? What happened to you?"

Sky choked on water and coughed very hard. She wasn't sure whether she should laugh or get angry. Arlo patted her back, "She isn't."

Sam knocked on Clark's head and pointed at the pedaled snake, "Sky saw it how it ended up like that so."

Clark scratched his head and spoke, "Sister-in-law Sanem is pregnant. So I asked."

All looked at Jimmy who was. .h.i.tting his forehead. Sky knew Clark said it at wrong time but she still congratulated Jimmy, "Congratulations Jimmy, you should have stayed with Sanem."

Seeing Sky not talking the energy bars from Arlo, A guard who had collected pears cautiously extended his hand at her looking at Arlo for not to offend him. Sky took two out of four and thanked, "Thank you!" He bowed and went back. He didn't expect her to take it and the thank you was out of his expectation.

Jimmy slapped Clark arms for choosing the wrong time to tell, "Thank you Ms.Sky."

Looking at her pale complexion, Sam wanted to say her to rest but he changed, "I'm tired, Let's rest for some time."

Sky who took a bite of pear, looked at him, "Worst excuse."

Sam rolled his eyes. Everyone knew why he said it and seeing Sky sitting, they relaxed. But she only sat till she finished the two pears and drank water.

As they continued to walk, they reached the river and walked on the bank of it. They were tracing the path which the first team followed. When the river direction changed, They were leaving the path, Sky stopped and walked backward. She felt like she saw some red color and tried to check where she exactly saw it or it was her illusion.

Sam and Arlo followed her and others stationed looking at them, "Sky, what happened?"

"I think I saw blood." Sky said and checked around in all directions. After a minute plus Sky pointed a rock between the water, "There... There! Isn't it dried blood mark?"

She anxiously asked and looked at Arlo and Sam. The latter nodded and Arlo asked a guard to check and he confirmed after a closer look.

Sky saw water just reached till the waist of the guard and entered water holding her stick tightly. Sam and Arlo furrowed their brows and held her arms on each side and crossed the river without letting her walk in the water.

Sky didn't hear them talking and was speechless.

All crossed and a few guards took the lead.

Sky looked at both men and sighed, "You two work well together when it's about me. Isn't it? Just like soulmates understanding everything without talking."

Maxwell, Clark, and Jimmy burst into laughter hearing her say soulmates to Arlo and Sam. The latter flicked her on the head and Arlo kept his poker face as led her.

Sky looked around as she walked but for some unknown reasons, she rooted and looking at a big tree in front of the rockface. Sam shook his head resignedly and asked, "Want to check there?" It was dead-end hence they didn't go.

Sky nodded and guards went ahead to check first and shouted, "A member is alive."

Everyone's pace quickened as Sky ran towards them but, "Ahhhh..."

She screamed before taking her tranquilizer gun which she loaded fast and shot. The first time she hid behind Sam who was next to her.

It was a bear which was on the ground, stood up on two limbs suddenly scaring the sh*t out of her.

The bear was looking at them before feeling numb and shook its head where Sky had shot. Seeing it take a step ahead, A guard shot the leg and bear sat down before laying on the ground.

All looked at Sky in amus.e.m.e.nt. Sam patted her head who had squeezed her eyes. "Even you know how to be a girl. Not bad."

Sky gritted her teeth and went towards the cave hoping to see Jai and saw a man leaning on the rock wall as the guards started first aid on the arm and forehead.

The other two gave him water to drink and checked his pulse.
