Her eyes widen with a faint blush when she realized just how close the distance between them was. With a gasp, she pulled away from him only for him to pull her back before she could hit the bookshelf being her. Closing her eyes she felt guilty as she felt the tip of her shoe touch one of the fallen books scattered around them. She was surprised no one else had come to see what had happened.
A terrible chill ran down her spine as she felt her chest tighten. Ants walking up and down her arm seeming to bite harshly on. Gazing down her face grew paler as her eyes made contact with the hand wrapped around her arm.
Feeling dizzy her head suddenly ached as memories flashed through her mind as like a nightmare. The world around her growing dark as she found herself trapped inside an empty cold dark room. Trembling in fear as an arm reached out to grab on to her. A cold laugh filling the room as she could still feel a pair of cold eyes staring down at her like prey. A scream clogged in her throat as she felt an intensifying pain in her eyes.
...
He watched with a raised eyebrow as her breathing went ragged. Her body losing all control as she felt down on her knees her wrist still held in his grip. His eyes widening slightly as he watched her face grow very pale, her whole body trembling like a leaf in the wind. Her free hand he wasn't holing was pressed against her eyes almost seeming in extreme pain.
"Hey-"

"Please." He heard her quiet voice beg as she raised her eyes slowly to gaze up at him. His eyes widening slightly more at her redden eyes seeming so broken and lost. The light he had seen in them during their first encounter long gone.
"Please, let me go." She told him, realization filling his mind as his hand drifted to his hand wrapped around her arm. Once he let her go he watched as she let out a heavy breath letting her fall back on the ground leaning her back on the bookshelf. Hand pressed against her mouth as she tried not to vomit. Taking a few breaths her body seemed to relax only just an inch. Her face still pales and suddenly looking ever exhausted. He watched as she struggled to stand up with shaky legs her trembling hands holding on to the bookshelf behind her.
Standing up she took a step forward before his eyes widen in alarm as her body fell forward to the ground. In a quick swift movement, he took her in his arms the moment before she could hit the ground. The sweet scent of roses and lilies filled his senses as her light body pressed against him.
Gazing down at her he let out a small sigh when realizing she had lost consciousness.
"Hey." He muttered out trying to wake her up with a small shake of her shoulders. Her whole body seeming so frail compared to his own. Like a small bird that one had to handle with care. As he stared at her face he could see the dark circle under her eyes from lack of sleep. Yet staring at her sleeping face seeing that small bit of now peacefulness seemed to affect him as well.
Moving her in his arms he kneeled down on the ground draping his uniform jacket over her small frame before carefully lifting her up bridal style.
Swiftly and silently like a cat, he walked out of the library down the empty school halls. An astonished teacher b.u.mped into them before quickly moving out of the young master's way with a low bow. Body shaking nervously as the young master walked pa.s.sed him.
"Dismiss all her cla.s.ses." The young master Xiao spoke out to the teacher who nodded his head vigorously.
"Yes, right away." The teacher said sweating bullets only letting out a sigh in relief as the boy turned the corner down the hall. Rus.h.i.+ng quickly away more concerned for his job than the young unconscious girl in the boy's arms.
Reaching the nurse's office the boy walked across the room to the bed pulling apart the white curtains before placing the young girl on the bed. Silence filling the room as he couldn't help but continue to gaze at her on the pillow and sheets around her as her chest moved with each soft breath she took. Even he who had no interest in females couldn't help but acknowledge the girl's innocent beauty. Her body small and slim compared to his own as he towered over her, her head nearly reaching his shoulders. Porcelain skin glowing like fresh pearls from the sea while her hair s.h.i.+ned beautifully. Her face shaped perfectly with full rosy lips and long full eyelashes that brushed against her cheeks. Even with that beauty he still saw her flaws. The dark circles under her eyes from little sleep and the frailness in her body. He could even notice a small faint scar just under her left ear. Even with the few flaws, he could see to him she was yet another unique masterpiece. In many ways, she reminded him of the sculpture Venus.
Staring at her sleeping face his face relaxed a bit before reaching into his pocket to pull out a blue ribbon. The same ribbon the girl sleeping on the bed had dropped during their first encounter. Closing he brought it up to his nose breathing in the faint smell of her perfume as he imagined the soft fabric was a strand of her hair pressing a soft kiss on it.
"If you hadn't been a Zheng."
