Linri fell face first into the ground, he was panicking. This was not in his plans, he was expecting to fight against some skeletons or something. What the h.e.l.l was the sudden teleportation. If this was how they treated criminals why were there broken equipment in the first place?

Linri got up, due to the impact of the fall his headlight was broken and torch was snuffed out. He was in total darkness, the air was heavy but not suffocating compared to before.

The moment he got up, torches started to lit up. They lit up one by one till the whole room was as bright as outside. He covered his eyes as they were not able to adapt to the sudden increase in light. Once he felt like he could see now he parted his hand to see what was in the room.

The whole room was empty, there was only a statue of some kind of giant tiger-like animal. Linri could not see Jaime around and he got worried. She was dragged into this mess because of him so he would feel guilty if something had happened to her.

Sudden cracks started to appear on the tiger statue.

"Oh no!"

He knew this pattern after reading countless books. The statue was coming to alive and was gonna eat him. Linri ran to torch closest to him and grabbed the whole bowl after raising his body temperature.

He put it down and took out a couple of spray cans and bottles from his backpack. He had to hurry because the cracks were getting bigger.

Before Linri could finish what he wanted to do the giant tiger came out of its sh.e.l.l and pounced on Linri. He grabbed one of the bottles on the ground and rolled to his side. That was dangerous, the animal was so fast that he could only react in the nick of time despite the difference of distance between them.

Linri took a crouching position and looked towards the tiger. It was also looking at him so their eyes were interlocked. He was hesitating about what to do while the tiger was sizing up its prey. Seeing the giant tiger not moving he could tell that this was the best opportunity he could get.

'Inferno Cage'

Flames appeared under the giant tiger's claws and Linri became dizzy due to the sudden loss in prana. The beast was startled by the sudden circular flaming cage around him and instinctively tried to get away. Because of this, its backside was burned and a mad expression appeared on the giant beast's eyes.

The tiger pounced towards him once more while totally ignoring the flames. Linri dodged again and came face to face with the animal. He could almost see a sneer in the beast's eyes. Even though half of its body was burnt and battered his prey was standing in front of it.

While on the ground Linri looked at the giant tiger-like face in front of him, he was being looked upon by an animal. He was scared for his life but he would be lying if he said he did not feel angry.

Linri could see that he was not able to deal much damage with his Inferno Cage so it was almost guaranteed that this beast had higher attributes than him. The room was small and there was not any place to hide. He did not have any kind of firearms with him and he could not even cast magic properly. To him, there was only a single way to get out of this situation alive but it was gonna be risky.

-----

Tiger lifted its giant paw that was as big as Linri's head and attempted to slash at him. Contrary to its expectation the puny human did not run away from his paw and instead ran straight at it. Because of this, the human was able to dodge the strike. He was not worried though even though the fire could hurt its beautiful fur but there was not any real damage done to him. They were just surface wounds.

Dodging the paw the puny human did another unexpected thing. It ran under his giant paw and jumped at his head. This was the most disgraceful the tiger had felt ever since the day he was born. Some puny human which was weaker than an ant in his eyes actually climbed at his head.

He shook his head furiously but the human was still clinging there. What was worse, he could feel something unbearably hot on his head which was driving him crazy. He felt like his head was on fire so he smashed his head against the wall repeatedly. He was going to squash this bug, the play time was over.

The puny human had managed to jump away from his head before he hit the wall so he was still alive, but not for long. He gave an angry roar towards the human and saw the mocking expression on his face.

'BOOM!'

It hurts, it hurts, ithurtsithurtsithurts!!!!! The tiger was in great pain. He did not even see what happened. He gave an angry roar but suddenly his mouth started to hurt while there was a slight buzz in his ears. Just what had that despicable human done to his n.o.ble self? He kept wailed and felt even more pain. This human was commanding the fire in the room to enter his body and it was burning him within.

He could not close his mouth, he could not move, he could not do anything! This despicable human was killing him and he could only watch. No! He was of the n.o.blest bloodline, how could he give up without a fight. Even if it was certain he was going to die, he was gonna bring down the human along with it.

With the last of its strength, the n.o.ble tiger rose from the ground and leap at him. His whole body was hurting, every breath he took was agony and he did not even know if he had a chin any more. That was why this human had to pay for his arrogance thinking that he could get away scot free.

Though before the tiger could even take off from the ground a wolf made out of flames appeared before its eyes and that was the last thing it saw before its life was ended.
