I get to work and I can tell something is wrong. Everyone is frantic.

"Hey. What's going on?"

"I don't know either." He looks at me confused.

"Are you new? I've never seen you around before."

"Well kinda. I was supposed to start months ago but um something got in the way."

I realized I was spilling my life story to a stranger. I was about to walk away when Captain Singh comes up to me.

"Emma Duncan. The best detective from star city. Are you feeling any better?"

"I feel fine. I'm ready for an a.s.signment. Why is everyone stressed?"

"The arrow is in town." Captain Singh said while walking away. I almost drop everything. The arrow is the coolest person ever. He saved me and my sister from deathstroke. I moved to central city because I saw a report of how there was a little boy who saw a streak of red before his mom died. I thought it might have had something to do with my dad's death. At this point I realize that I'm staring at the captain.

"So what are we going to do about it sir."

"We are going to wait it out. We're hoping he'll leave on his own."

"Yes sir."

The mystery man and I say it at the same time. I look at him and I get a feeling I know him.

"I'm sorry, I realized I never asked for your name."

"Barry Allen"

I shake his hand and look into his eyes for a hint of who he reminded me of.

" So Barry are you a detective or are you here to report something?"

"I'm a csi."

That's when I remember. He's the guy from the coffee shop. I am happy yet I don't completely feel like he's just the guy from the coffee shop. I have seen him elsewhere. But where?

Eddie walks in and gives me a disappointed look. I hope Barry didn't notice that. He did.

"You know Eddie?" he ask

"Yes i'm his adopted sister."

Barry looks at me with interest. But it's like trying to figure me out interest. I realized he keeps getting to know little facts about me and I barely know anything about him. I hate that.

"Well Allen." I say like a strict officer.

"I have work to do. And so do you according to the rumors I heard about you."

I walk away feeling like a jerk. Maybe I was a bit of a jerk. I get to my desk and I realize that I have powers. I COULD BE A SUPERHERO. Okay wait. I'm getting ahead of myself. I still need to learn how to combat with these powers.

I sit down and start doing research. I mean there aren't any cases that need investigation. I stop and I think. Am I really going to try to be a superhero. That's when dad pops into my head.

"I have too."

"Have too what?"

I look up and see my face standing over my desk.

"EMILY. What are you doing here?"

Emily is my twin sister. I got adopted by Eddie's family and she got adopted by a rich guy in star city called Gilbert James.

"Well I just had to see my second half while I'm in town."

"Then I guess we should go do something while your here. I technically have the day off since the captain doesn't want me to work till next week."

"What are we waiting for? Let's go!"

I grab my coat and Emily grabs my hand.

" I have so much to talk about."

" We both do."
