Hurricane:A Flash Story 22 She Knows

I leave cash and a tip to pay the bill and I leave. But it seemed like she was hiding something. I think about it outside and realize I'm being paranoid. But my curiosity gets the better of me. I hide in the bushes and wait. A flash of red goes by into the store and I gasp. It's the flash. What is the flash doing with Eddie's girlfriend? I take a picture and turn to leave.

When I get on the mainstreet i'm paying attention and I'm in the middle of the street and a truck is coming. I put up my hands as the truck is speeding towards me. But the truck slows down as it's about to hit and I look around and everything is slowed down. I use this opportunity to get out of the way of the truck.

"What the h.e.l.l just happened."

I stop and think for a second and I go to the warehouse. When I get there I realized that I feel like there is lightning in my veins. So I just run. I run fast. Super fast. Flash fast.

"WOOOHOOO"

I take about 20 laps around the warehouse until I realize I'm starving. But how did I get the flash's powers? While I'm walking around thinking about it, I see a box with a note from Emily. It said

"I know everything."l

I chuckle. I pick up the box and inspect it. I open it and gasp.

"How the h.e.l.l did she know." I whisper to myself.

In the box is a suit. A superhero suit. It's blue,black and purple. It comes with gloves and boots that look like they have a good grip. There are also two batons with no ends which I don't know how to use. Just then, I realize there is something else in the box. A mask. Behind the mask is another note.

"Every superhero needs their mystery."

I grin. I put the note back in the box and go to try on the suit. When it's on I go look in the mirror. The suit is a perfect fit and the colors really fit my eyes and… wait a minute.

"What happened to my eyes."

I look closer and realize they are tainted blue. How did I not notice this before. I need to buy colored contacts before someone else notices. Oh my gosh. The tips of my hair are tainted blue too.

"Blue looks good on me though."

Just then I hear an alarm. Bank alarms. There is probably a robbery in progressive. I think about it.

"No I shouldn't. The police got it."

I think about it again.

"I AM the police though."

I smile and put my mask on. I might as well practice with real people. I speed out to the bank and see four people with masks on.

"You know if your going to rob a bank you might want to account for the fact that there are people with superpowers."

They turn around to face me and then smile.

"Don't worry guys, it's just a girl. I can take care of it.

"Don't be so sure of yourself."

Everything slows down and I check my surroundings. I hit the guy walking toward me in the stomach. When everything is back to normal speed I smile and say "too slow."

All of them are paying attention now. Another one comes running up to me with a bat and I slow everything down again. I remove the bat and elbow him on his lower back. Then everything is back to speed.

"Wow, I thought I might break a sweat. Guess I was wrong."

The last two guys came at me at the same time. I don't slow anything down this time. I grab one arm and I kick the other one in the stomach and as he bends down I kick him in the face, knocking him out. The second one is holding my arms together so I do a backflip behind him and put him in a chokehold until he pa.s.ses out.

"Well this has been fun but I should probably go before the cops get here."

As I'm about to run out the flash stands in front of me.
