Changes was happening around New Moon Profound Palace. For the first three days, New Moon Profound Palace became the strongest power in the New Moon City. As for Qin Wuyou, his status surpa.s.sed the governor himself and gain control almost all the matters related to the city. As first, Yun Che tricked the sect masters using a dupe imagery stone to lure them away but he handed the real one to Qin Wuyou. He showed the scheme and the seven sects lose their foothold in the city. Without the elders and sect masters, they were crumbled instantly and their territories and wealth were instantly controlled by the New Moon Profound Palace. As for the Xiao Sect and Burning Heaven Clan, the main clan didn't bother at all when they lose their foothold in the city. A mere small city doesn't even cover a bit of their loss. In an instant, the palace gains respect and honor as the main power of the city.

Qin Wuyou and the remaining elders travel to the battle zone sometimes after Yun Che left the area. Right now, the two craters had become legendary location where the two legendary disciples fought for the honor of the palace. They looked at the direction Yun Che went that night, vowing to keep the palace safe as he bestowed them the highest honor they can give. The palace disciples wors.h.i.+ped them as two legendary beings and had artisans carved out statues of them. The disciples didn't know much but stories about them circulating everyday throughout the palace. Some of them wondered if they ever step in the city again in the future.

Somewhere on the mountain areas

Unaware of things happening in the palace, Yun Che and the party travel towards the next location appointed by the system. The system had initiated his next main quest that is obtained the phoenix inheritance hidden deep in the Ten Thousand Beast mountain region.

Yun Che made up some stories to distract Little Fairy and Cang Yue about the capabilities of his and Retsu's bankai. He told them about special powers they had when they were born and those powers evolve if they used it in the real world. It took some time but they finally believe that story. Yun Che and Retsu breathe a breath of relief because they're not ready to know the part about s.h.i.+nigami and Zanpakutos just yet.

Yun Che just gave the spatial rings of the sect masters to Little Fairy and Cang Yue since he had no absolute interest in them. However, he did pull all of the herbs from the rings to cultivate pills for his little girls and Cang Yue. Little Fairy and Cang Yue just accept them willingly and discard any items useless to them.

In the original story, Yun Che supposed to infiltrate the Xiao Clan and steal bunches of herbs and money from their treasury before being hunt down by one of their Spirit Profound Realm, Xiao Zaihe. If he was right, that Xiao Zaihe probably lose his life during Retsu's a.s.sault back at their base.

Right now, all of them are on board the eagle while Cang Yue was conversing with Little Fairy. Never expected to could get along with her so well. Yun Che was still using his s.h.i.+hakushou along with Retsu. There's no need for disguises once they are in the middle of nowhere.

"Young master?" Retsu's voice suddenly sounded in his mind. Yun Che's eyes widen to see why did she use the Tenteikura to talk to him.

"Young master? I've been meaning to ask. Why didn't your bankai transformation didn't trigger a large wind like mine?" Retsu was puzzled, previously he transformation created an uproar that cause the continent to turn their eyes towards them.

"Oh that? Hmm, from my opinion. Zangetsu had his own share of triggering that event as well. It only happened once though. The other spirits probably learn to control their first time energy output once Zangetsu shown them for the first time. Zangetsu probably become their scapegoat at that time. Still, glad they managed to learn it. Or else, we probably have the world's eyes on us again." He explained while putting his finger on his chin. He did wonder for a while when he released Zabimaru's bankai at that time. Looks like that was the case. But the only ones who learnt them are the ones he had right now. What about those coming in the future? He suddenly sighs while thinking of alternate methods to use their bankai in the future.

"I see." However, Retsu seems to have something on her mind but she did hesitate whether to ask him about it. However, Yun Che saw her expression and said "If you have something on your mind, you can ask straight anyway."

She clutched both of her fist while kneeling and said "Young master, you summoned to this world with the help of the system. It means do you have the ability to summon more? Then, when that happens. Am I still your girl in the future?" She said clutching her robe and closing her eyes.

Yun Che was quite stunned when she asked that but his gaze softened and put his hand on her head, petting her affectionately.

Retsu raised her head and looked at him in the eye and he said "Retsu, do you even need to ask that question? I will never play favorites when it comes to you and the others. Even if I can summon another one to this world. I couldn't discard you just like that. You're my fiancee and we went through thick and thin together. Even if you had more sisters in the future, you're always be my girl." He looked at her with eyes full of love. This girl, probably afraid Yun Che would replaced her if there's another one coming in the future.

"Young master!" Feeling blissful, she suddenly jumped to his chest and rested her head on his chest earning a jealous gaze from Little Fairy and Cang Yue. They knew she was close to him but they couldn't help by feeling jealous at her. Especially Little Fairy, since she lost control of her ice heart.

"Still, I couldn't help to think about Xia Qingyue from time to time thought." Yun Che suddenly closed his eyes and picturing Qingyue's expression at that time.

"Did something happen, young master?" She raised her head and ask.

"Kind of, I was being a big jerk back then. I wanted her to spread her wings but in the end. I just told her off. That's why I wanted to enter this tournament half a year from now. To see her and patch things up again." Yun Che explained while reflecting back to the event a year ago.

"You'll see her again young master. Besides, I wanted to test her abilities as well. If she's going to be my sister, she must have the capabilities as well." She said before resting her head again.

"Thanks, Retsu. It made me feel better for some reason. By the way, I haven't give your reward right?"

"Yes, I am still waiting for it. Young master." She said while putting a finger on her lip. Yun Che just shakes his head while smiling. But, before he could say anything. Little Fairy suddenly kneel down beside him and ask "Rascal, you didn't tell us anything about our next destination. Spit it, what so special about 'that place'? She said with her usual expression. She didn't wear her veil anymore around Cang Yue since their time at the manor.

"That's right, what kind of place is that anyway?" Cang Yue was even bolder. She suddenly sits in front of him and look at him in his eyes. Yun Che was quite stunned. Aren't these ladies a bit too close to him?

"Well, that place is known as Ten Thousand Beast Mountain Range. That place is the profound beasts' paradise. There are violent Nascent and Earth Profound beasts all over the mountains. There is even a rumor that there are three Sky Profound beasts dwelling in the mountain range."

"So, basically, you're looking a place to elevate your cultivation?" Little Fairy asked him.

"Sort of, but actually, I am going there for a reason. Rumors has it that there's a clan hidden somewhere in that range and we're here because of that clan."

"Clan?" Cang Yue looked at him sideways.

"Yeah, they are a peaceful clan though. They resided near an ancient ruin which holds a secret."

"What kind of secret?" Little Fairy looked at him curiously. If there's a secret, she wants to know more about it.

After flying on the eagle for a few days, stopping by just to get Yun Che to cook some food for them and get some sleep. They finally arrived at the outskirts of the mountain. Retsu made a great job scaring any beast that came close to them but it seems something was off. "Ten Thousand Beast" seems way too exaggerated. They managed to scare only a few of it but they didn't see any beast after that, as if these mountains were quiet to begin with.

Cang Yue's cultivation elevated to the first level of the Spirit Profound Realm in one go when Yun Che fed her with several pills he cultivated. Using his spirit force, he removes any impurities from her body and open up all her profound entrances just like he did to Little Fairy. Much of her shock, he fed her with pills using the herbs from the sect masters' rings. Right now, Cang Yue's body and cultivation was stronger than her previous state and she was able to execute her arts easily. And that process only happens in a few days compared to her training all these years. With Retsu and Little Fairy's guidance, her sword art reach pinnacle of her understanding but she still lacks of combat experience. This was due to the reason of her never killed before just like in her previous life. The previous Yun Che had to go drastic measures to expose her to killings just to get her to attack properly. Looks like he needs to do the same as well.

"This is really odd."

Tilting her head sideways, she asked "What kind of odd, young master?"

"Have you noticed there aren't any beast at all in this so called paradise? It's like entering a ghost town."

"When you said it rascal it seems odd." Little Fairy said while using her senses to detect anymore beast. She didn't find any of them.

"Are you sure we're in the right direction, Yun Che?" Cang Yue asked him while petting her white eagle.

Sitting back on the eagle, he said "Yeah, I am sure. The description match the area mentioned by my grandfather." The truth is he used the system's world mapping feature to see the location of the place. He had a lot of ongoing side quest right now and as soon as he sets it as priority, he can see the coordinates of the location just like normal RPG game back in his home world.

While he was pondering, he felt a pressure all of a sudden. But, he saw Retsu was eyeing him as well and gave him a nod. Both Little Fairy and Cang Yue couldn't feel this pressure at far because their bodies are human but he and Retsu can.

"This reaitsu, it came from the direction we're heading. Young master." Retsu voice sounded next to him.

Yun Che replied with a serious expression. "By the looks of it, they came in numbers. Looks like we need to make haste."

Little Fairy saw the seriousness these two emits and she knew it was not a good one. "What is the matter, you two?"

"Something is happening at the clan. We have to hurry."

Cang Yue nodded and make her eagle flew faster towards the direction. As soon as they arrived at the skies of the clan, they saw not one but hundreds of hollows on the outskirts of a small village. Cang Yue wasn't surprised because she fought hollows before in her contribution missions. But she was surprised when she saw hundreds of those things underneath them. From what they observed, the hollows are hitting the dome shaped barrier of the village with their attacks.

"Looks like they are trying to smash the barrier to pieces." Retsu said while observing the hollows attack patterns.

Seeing the barrier is still all right, Cang Yue said "The people will be okay as long as long that barrier is up."

"Yeah, but that barrier won't last long under the attack of hundreds of hollows at the same time."

"Hollows?" Cang Yue looked at them instantly. This is the first time she heard the name of those beasts in general.

"We called those white masked beasts "Hollows" though." Yun Che said earning a nod from Little Fairy. Looks like spending some time before enable her to learn a few things about these hollows.

"Young master, looks like the barriers hull is started to go down a little." Retsu used the system's interface to scan the barrier. She could see the percentage of the barrier appeared on her interface starting to go down bit by bit.

"Then, there's only one thing we can do."

"What is...." Little Fairy didn't get to finish her question before....

Without saying anything, Yun Che suddenly jumped from the eagle towards the top of the dome.

"That rascal, sister Retsu? What are you…" Little Fairy was shocked he jumped from this high without a proper planning but she didn't even expect Retsu suddenly jumped as well.

"Weeeee!!!!!" She shouted in a cute voice while making her way as well.

"Those TWO!! Cang Yue, land us somewhere safe and let's help them."

The small clan of the ancient ruins

"Clan leader, those white masked beasts are attacking for months. If this keeps up, the barrier won't hold for much longer." One of the villagers asked the clan leader of the village.

"This is as I feared, looks like we the Phoenix Clan are destined to perished." The clan leader said with a heavy expression.

Seeing the situation was dire, a man suddenly said "Caiyun, take the kids and go. Flee this clan."

Without a fear expression she said "No, we're going to die as family together. If you're fighting and I am fighting as well."

"Caiyun listen to me, those beasts are at least at Nascent and True Profound Realm beast. I won't able to die peacefully if you died as well." The man insisting his wife but she continued to hug her kids and said to him. "Say what you want and I am not going. I am not letting our kids grew up without a father."

The village was protected by a special array which condensed into a form of a barrier. The hollows came by a year ago and started attacking them. At first, they only attack for a few days before falling back and came again a month later with more numbers. The process repeated for the whole year and they started to see the barrier was slowly dissipating. Those hollows surround the village and attack from all direction of the barrier either from land or sky. The clan was not strong enough to fight even one of them in a battle. As hope seems lost for the village, all of a sudden they heard a shout from the skies.

When they looked up in the sky, they saw a black cloaked young man suddenly came from the sky towards their direction. He was soon followed by another figure wearing the same cloak but wearing a white cloak on top of it.

"Clan leader what is that?" The man from before asking the clan leader. He was still holding his wife's hand fearing another bad situation might occur.

"I don't know. If that man came with ill intention, then there's nothing we can do." The village chief said while looking at the young man silhouette.

However, the young man soon arrived on the barrier before pulling out a sword. But this sword was large and it didn't look like any sword they've seen. It looks more like a knife and it had white straps on the back.

Yun Che pulled out Zangetsu from his body and arrived at top of the barrier. Then, the villagers saw something underneath his feet. It looks more like a red bright board under his feet. Yun Che formed a board using his Quincy Manipulation Art and when he arrived on top of the barrier.

Yun Che slides from the top most of the dome barrier to the bottom. He slides from side to side avoiding any incoming attack from aerial type hollows and when he arrived at the middle part of the barrier. He suddenly increased his energy before jumping from the barrier towards the hollows on the ground. He swings Zangetsu on top of his head before.....

BOOM!!!

His landing created a loud explosion on the hollows side and he immediately rise to his feet and immediately swings Zangetsu's strap in a circular motion.

His swings take out all the hollows in one swift motion before jumping around throwing Zangetsu in any direction. Infusing his spirit force into the sword and creating explosion from anywhere he threw the sword. Pulling back and throwing it again. He keeps on attacking while notification continuously ringing in his head.

Retsu didn't pulled the same stunt as Yun Che. She shot up a ma.s.sive Hadō #31. Shakkahō from above and creating a large explosion as well. When she arrived, she draws her Zanpakuto and continued to attack the hollows as fast as the eye could see. The hollows weren't even reacting when she cut them into smaller pieces and fired off kido blasts while at it.

Little Fairy arrived moments later and saw the mayhem these two had created and sigh internally. This is how they attack, without any plans whatsoever. Just go in swinging swords every way they go. As for her, she just jumped to the other side and activated the Frozen Cloud Arts. She simply freezes the hollows before using her profound energy to shatter them. She didn't want to waste her stamina on weaker beings. She's not like the other two who enjoyed their killing spree of these beasts.

Cang Yue was a little scared at first when she saw hundreds of these things but she didn't want to feel like a useless baggage to them. In the end, she jumped to the weaker area and started attacking them. No matter how large these hollows, they are just at the True Profound Realm and she easily handled them. She sometimes falls back to have Little Fairy thin their numbers a little. Looks like their guidance really put her abilities to the test this time. Yun Che and Retsu have faith on her abilities and they could easily get to her if situation is too dire.

"Getsuga Tenshou!!" Yun Che fired multiple Getsugas across the battlefield destroying any hollow in its way. To make things interesting, he decided to test his newly made self-created kido art on these hollows. He created some kind of array using his previous knowledge on magic and fuse them with his spirit force. The results were quite interesting in the end. He tapped the heads of the hollow as fast as he could before jump from hollow to hollow doing the same thing. His tap created a small spirit circle on its head before jumping away as far as he could from them.

"Try this on for size. Geijutsu wa Bakuhatsu da (Art is Explosion)!!! Katsu!!" He said with a smile and snapped his fingers before all the spirit circle on the hollow's head started to explode taking the lesser ones beside it. Multiple explosions are heard across the battlefield as all the circles explodes simultaneously.

"Haha, Y'all see that? That's my diversion. They died on this version. I am going to called it 'Magic Bomb' "He said happily while looking at the Spirit circle on his hand.

Satisfied with the results, he continued firing off Getsugas and Magic Bombs around the battlefield once more. Right now, the hundreds of hollows slowly thin down into tens of them.

Multiple slashes and explosions are heard across the village. The villagers and the clan leader were gaping seeing their performances. From one side blue shaped energy arc and red blue explosions are flying everywhere. Then, another side full of flying ice shards and slashes.

"Clan leader? Am I dreaming right now."

"The heavens, the heavens are blessing our clan right now. They send help from up there to help us." With that, all the villagers suddenly shouting for victory as they saw the hollows are dying down.

When hollows are killed, their souls were purified and send them to the afterlife. So, the hollows killed by them disappears immediately into thin air. With the last hollow was killed by Yun Che, the villagers shouted for victory again started running towards them. With that, they finally end the year long hara.s.sment by the hollows to the village.

Yun Che breathe a breath of relief and holding Zangetsu on his shoulder. Not long after that, Retsu arrived at Yun Che's side and give him a peace sign while still holding her Zanpakuto.

"Well that was fun, it was great to kick off some muscles after few days of silence." He said while stabbing Zangetsu on the ground.

Slowly sheathing her Zanpakuto "*giggle. I too had my share of fun young master. I could finally test a lot of Kido spells while at it."

A voice suddenly came from a distance before arriving at their side. "Yun Che! Sister Retsu! There you are. You had me worried when you jumped off like that." Cang Yue was still holding her sword while her red hair was flowing in the air.

"*Knock. Idiot, next time try to think first before doing your own stunts like that. Retsu, you should be careful when following this rascal in the future." Little Fairy suddenly arrived next to him and hits his head. This idiot only knows how to create mayhem without even thinking.

"Haha, don't worry. I have strength to back it up. Or are you worry about me that much?" Yun Che rubs his head before showing her a grin. Little Fairy blushed a little before turning her head around.

"Hmph, who in the world worries about you." Her antics caused Yun Che to laugh followed by a giggle from Retsu. Cang Yue didn't know what's going on simply shrugged her shoulders while consoling Little Fairy.

Suddenly, they felt ma.s.sive reaitsu suddenly pressurized the area. They weren't affected and villagers were protected by the barrier. This pressure strong enough to be felt by Cang Yue and Little Fairy.

Retsu suddenly said "Young master, this pressure is quite strong compared to these low rank hollows."

"No, it can't be…." If the pressure is stronger, he knew the hollow is stronger than a True Profound Realm hollow. There's only one reason.

"Rascal, what is this…" Little Fairy could feel the presence as well. It was different than the presence she felt before.

"Its…" Before he could finish his sentence, he could hear a rip was slowly opening in the sky. All eyes are on that rip until it was big enough to create a big hole in the sky. Yun Che knew that rip well. It was a small scale Garganta opening up in front of him. All of a sudden, they saw something cause all of them to widen their eyes.

"Heavens!!! What is that?" The questions asked by the villagers were more like wanted to know the abomination that slowly peeks its head at the hole. Cang Yue and Little Fairy were no different but Yun Che and Retsu knew this one very well.

A ma.s.sive head was slowly entering the hole followed by eight ma.s.sive white and creepy fingers on its side. Looks like it tried to rip the hole to make it larger for it to come through. It they were to describe the head, the head was donned in black and only had big white mask on it. Its eyes were red and had long pointy nose with three holes on it. The mouth was big enough for humans to fit on it. When it entered, it looked at them for a moment before letting out a big roar.

"ROOOOAAARRRR!!!!"

"What in the world is THAT THING?!?" Cang Yue shouted on top of her voice.

Yun Che pulls Zangetsu from the ground and observed the approaching thing. "Hmph, I was wondering when you will show up. Its my first time in real life seeing a real life Menos."
