After touching his back, Rhytham felt there was something wet on his hand. He looked at his palm, he saw that his entire palm was covered with crimson blood and the bouncers were sneering at him mockingly. They looked at him as if looking at a dead man. This made him realize that Akshat was never going to discuss anything with him. He just wanted him dead. After thinking about this, there was an uncontrollable rage filling his heart. He wanted to tear that Askhat apart. If he was going down, he wanted to take someone with him too. Recalling the sick old mother lying in the hospital bed and the weeping look of his beloved woman, Rhytham shook his regretfully. Alas, he couldn't accompany them anymore.
With a low growl, Rhytham saw that bouncer swinging his knife once again at his face. Rhytham immediately stepped back and dodged the attack, but with that came a searing pain from his back. Loud hissing sound could be heard in the silent alley. But Rhytham still didn't back down and looked around to find any way to escape. If there is no escape, then he will just fight here to death. In the midst of his thoughts, he suddenly heard a voice in his head, "Do you want power?"
Rhytham looked around to find no one other than those bouncers in the alley, where did that voice come from? The bouncer looked at Rhytham and sneered, "You really shouldn't have dodged that. At least you would have died without much pain. Now, I will just have to stab you a few times to make sure you are dead."
Rhytham looked at him and shouted, "If I am going to die here, then I swear on my old mother than I am going to take at least one of you to the h.e.l.l with me!"
The bouncers heard this and fell silent for a moment before bursting out laughing. One of them said, "Did you hear what this dog said? He said he is going to take one of us down. HAHAHA! I really haven't laughed this hard in ages. Man, you should have been a stand-up comedian."
As Rhytham was about to say something again, he once again heard that same voice in his head, "Do you want to kill these 4? Do you want to kill Akshat? Do…you want the power to overturn your destiny?"
This time Rhytham was sure that he didn't hallucinate. He really heard that voice in his head. Although he didn't know who or what that voice was, Rhytham heard that it could give him the power to kill these 4 and Askhat. 'Is this the devil? Will he give me powers in exchange for my soul? But if I can kill these 4 and Akshat, then I am willing!'
Rhytham looked at the sky and shouted, "I accept it! Give me the power and I will eternally be grateful to you. I will be your loyal servant for the rest of my life and my soul is yours. Just give me the power!"
Why Saksham heard this from his home, he was dumbfounded. He looked at Rhytham speechlessly and thought, 'Buddy you watch too many movies. I am not here to take your soul, but whatever. At least he thinks I am some supernatural force. That's fine.'
He laughed and said in a devilish voice, "As you wish…hehehe!"
Rhytham heard this, he suddenly felt cold on his back. He suddenly felt as if he had made the wrong deal with the devil. But now he can't back down so he just closed his eyes, waiting for the said power. Meanwhile, the 4 bouncers looked at each other with a puzzled gaze. Did he go crazy thinking about his death? Why is he shouting at the air? These thoughts were revolving in their head. At this time, one of the bouncers said with some hesitation, "Do you think there are ghosts here?"
Before he could continue, one of the other bouncers slapped his bald head and said angrily, "Shut up! There is no such thing as Ghosts in this world. You! Go kill him! We have wasted enough time already!"
With his command, the bouncer holding the knife nodded and started walking towards the Rhytham who was standing with his eyes closed. He raised his hand to stab the knife at Rhytham's heart position. Just as the knife was about to land, it stopped in the air. His eyes widened as he saw that Rhytham had opened his eyes and was looking at him with a sneer at the corner of his lips. He was the one who was holding the bouncer's hand, not letting the knife touch him. The bouncer tried to pull his hands back but it felt as if his hand was being held by a pair of steel pliers. He even clenched his b.u.t.t to pull his hands back but wasn't even able to budge a little.
At this moment, the 3 bouncers standing behind also felt that the situation was wrong. Shouldn't Rhytham have died? Why is he still standing? Due to the darkness, they couldn't see the situation ahead clearly. So, they came forward a few steps to see that their companion's hand was caught in mid-air by Rhytham and the bouncer was sweating bullets.
This made them stumped but not for long. The head of their group growled, "What are you wastes looking at? Kill him!!!"
Hearing the roar from the leader, the rest 2 also rushed towards Rhytham, but Rhytham just looked at them as if looking at clowns. He raised his left hand and gave the bouncer in front of him, a backhand slap lightly. From any other person's perspective, the slap was so light that even a child would not be hurt. But the next scene almost made them s.h.i.+t their pants. They saw the bouncer who was. .h.i.t by the backhand slap, flew 2 meters away, and rolled on the ground like a rag doll. There were no signs of getting up either.
Seeing this, the other 3 bouncers unconsciously stepped back. Rhytham looked at them calmly and asked, "So, you are goons hired by Akshat to kill me, eh? Too bad, you are a little late. You should have killed me when you had the chance. Now…it's my turn."
With that said, Rhytham rushed towards the nearest bouncer like a cheetah. He was so fast that no one was able to respond. The next moment, they heard a crackling voice and then saw someone flying over their heads. It was none other than their companion who was standing nearest to Rhytham. Now, only 2 of them were left in the alley. In the silent alley, 2 gulping sounds could be heard. The leader of the bouncer group touched his head with a trembling hand and found that his whole body was wet with cold sweat.
He spoke in a shaky voice, "Rh-Rhytham, yo-you see we are just some goons hired by Akshat. We have no enmity. I-if you want to kill someone, then kill Akshat. Leave us alone."
"Oh? No enmity? That's why you were about to stab me to death? As soon as you decided to kill me, you had enmity with me and after I am done with you, I will kill that Akshat too. Don't you worry, Now, just leave this world with a peaceful mind."
After 2 minutes, Rhytham came out of the valley alone and headed towards his home. The wound on his back had healed somehow magically after he got the powers. And even after killing those 4 bouncers, Rhytham couldn't believe that he has somehow gotten powers beyond ordinary humans. When he was standing in the alley with his eyes closed, he felt as ward sunlight was pouring on his body from all side, making him feel calm and happy. With that came the sensation of thousands of ants crawling on his skin but that soon disappeared too. What remained, in the end, was endless strength in his body. He felt as if he could kill an elephant with a punch.
As he returned home, he suddenly heard that devilish whispers in his head again, "Forgot to remind you. If I find that you are using these powers openly in front of others or in public, I will immediately tear your body into thousands of pieces and let you be manure for plants. The source of power should never be revealed. And I have given you power, and I can take them back too. Understood?"
Rhytham suddenly shuddered when he heard this. He immediately nodded, "Understood, lord. I will strictly follow your commands."
Saksham heard this and nodded. He said, "I will come to meet you tomorrow in person. I have some tasks for you."
Rhytham heard this and nodded as if a chick pecking on rice. He said, "Yes, Lord."
With that, Rhytham heard no more sounds anymore. With that, he suddenly relaxed and let his body fall on his bed. He closed his eyes and soon faint snoring sounds could be heard in that room.
