Synopsis :
Link was the top Archmage in the entire server. He had just defeated the strongest boss, the Lord of The Deep, Nozama with his party. However, instead of going back to town, he was transported to a secret location with pixelated CG.
It sort of felt like a vacuum, and within it came a glorious and commanding voice that calls himself the G.o.d of Light.
"Link, would you be willing to be the saviour who will pull the World of Firuman out from the churning abyss?"
What a huge mission! If it was in the real world, Link would have rejected it immediately. However, he was bent on being the hero in game.
"Bring it on!" Link answered confidently.
"Then, best of luck."
And so begin Link's journey of magic, friends.h.i.+p, betrayal, love and despair in the ever changing World of Firuman.

POSITIVE REVIEW :
This novel is really intense. By that I mean it keeps you on your toes throughout the chapters. The plot is not predictable, even with the missions given by the system, situation always changes and anything can happen. The world is very dark and there are innumerable tragedies, dark plots and politics which keep happening around the MC all the time. MC is a pretty busy guy who keeps fighting just to survive. Enemy is like Hydra, you kill one head two more takes it place. He quickly starts getting OP but that does not make the fight any easier. Every fight is a struggle and very well described by the author.
Cons
Author absolutely sucks at romance. Anyone who looked at the harem tag expecting a big harem here would be disappointed. In fact there is no harem here. This world and the MC is totally not suited for this sort of tag.
Spoiler
He sleeps with 3 women in which he kills one of them and the rest two is just shown in ending part together in the most vague terms
Ending is rushed. Late part battles become typically xianxia styles with all the immortality c.r.a.p and powers.
It is entertaining to read and in the end that is what I need from the novel. 1 star gone for the rushed ending.

NEGATIVE REVIEW :
Finished the entire thing a month ago and I decided to leave my review for future readers.
The story begins with the MC being transported to a VRMMO game world in another person's body along with said person's memories and a game system bestowed by a G.o.d to facilitate MC power ups and plot progression. Pretty cliche start but what captured my interest was the amount of work author put in for the battles (albeit only the first few arc). It is a first for me to read a mage casting spells in the right places using their brain (as a mage is supposed to be intellectual) instead of spamming damage spells like usual.
That said, the rest of the story felt bland because the MC himself has no purpose he sets for himself other than following the mission G.o.d gave him to defeat a certain enemy. While every arc already has its general progression and conclusion placed in front of the readers since it's written in the typical game quest form with rewards. An example of what I mean would be something like "Find the ring to stop the marriage from happening (reward 10 points) " thus we know he will find the ring no matter what the twist and the marriage will definitely not happen, causing whatever is written to reach the end of the quest mostly a text wall.
Another problem would be inconsistencies in the story. There is a lot of them which includes plot, characters, skills, etc. An example would be the amount of needed skill points to learn magics in the beginning and middle part of the story. The rest I cant remember in detail since it's been a month or so.
A problem I have with the author is that he took my greatest joy in reading this because after the first few arcs, MC conveniently learns how to use a sword and in the later chapters, MC majors in being a swordsman while magic is mostly there to a.s.sist in his swordsmans.h.i.+p (so much for the t.i.tle being Descent of the G.o.d of Magic). Oh, the ending is also very rushed.
